UNICEF says 400,000 children displaced in Lebanon in 3 weeks

The UN children’s agency warns of a “lost generation” in the country grappling with multiple crises and now Israeli attacks.
Fighting in Lebanon has driven 1.2 million people from their homes, most fleeing to Beirut and elsewhere in the north over the past three weeks.
Ted Chaiban, UNICEF’s deputy executive director for humanitarian actions, visited schools that have been turned into shelters to host displaced families.
“What struck me is that this war is three weeks old and so many children have been affected,” he said. “As we sit here today, 1.2 million children are deprived of education. Their public schools have either been rendered inaccessible, have been damaged by the war, or are being used as shelters.”

Many victims of Israeli strike on north Lebanon were women and children: UN

The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights says it has received reports that most of the victims of an Israeli air strike on a building in northern Lebanon were women and children.
Spokesperson Jeremy Laurence told a Geneva news briefing that “12 women and two children” were among those killed in the attack in the Christian-majority town of Aitou. At least 21 people were killed in the air strike, Lebanese health officials said.
“We understand it was a four-storey residential building that was struck. With these factors in mind, we have real concerns with respect to IHL [international humanitarian law], so the laws of war and the principles of distinction proportion and proportionality,” he said while calling for an investigation into the incident.

The US Empire as a system on the whole is the most vile enemy of humanity, truth, justice, freedom, and equality. The “right” to get drunk, fornicate, and watch sports is not freedom. Freedom is to have control over the laws that govern you, to live freely under the order God intended for you.
The godless lefty rabble can't get under the Bible's radar, that's why they hate it so much..:)
"..This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world" (1 John 4:3)
"..you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come.." (1 John 2:18 )
They're sick in the head-
"To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled" (Titus 1:15)

Al-Quds Force commander appears in public after reports of death

One of Iran's highest-ranking generals disappeared after Israeli strikes on Beirut. There were reports that he was killed or arrested on suspicion of espionage, but in the end he came to the funeral of another general

Brigadier General Ismail Qaani, commander of the Al-Quds special forces of the elite Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), appeared in public after almost two weeks of absence and rumors of his death. This is reported by Iran International, Khabar and IRIB.

Ismail Qaani was spotted at the funeral of Major General Abbas Nilforushan, he was included in the official broadcast of the ceremony.

Reports of his death spread in early October. Reuters sources in Iran said that the brigadier general was in the area of an Israeli airstrike on Hezbollah positions in Beirut on October 4 and has not been in touch since then.

Assault on northern Gaza has escalated to ‘horrifying level of atrocity’, say doctors

A group of doctors and NGOs claims Northern Gaza is being “wiped off the map” as a result of Israel’s ongoing intensified assault, now in its 11th day.
The assault has escalated to a “horrifying level of atrocity”, says an open letter written by Dr. Mohammed Salha, acting director of Al-Awda Hospital in Jabalia refugee camp, one of the areas hardest hit by Isreal’s siege.
“The Israeli military has contacted us more than once to evacuate the hospital,” he said.
“[All] the departments are full of wounded people and we are discharging even the wounded who have minor or moderate injuries, because we do not have [enough] beds for them.”
“We demand an immediate ceasefire and an end to Israel’s illegal occupation,” he said.
The letter is signed by more than two dozen organisations including ActionAid, Plan International Jordan and War on Want.

Israel has ‘free hand’ in West Bank with all eyes on Gaza, and Lebanon

Beit Furik is one of multiple hot spots the Israeli army continuously targets.

The north of the occupied West Bank, in general, has been hit by daily raids.

Today, we saw some confrontations between the Israeli army and some armed fighters in that area.

Two injuries were confirmed by the Palestinian Red Crescent among civilians, including a child.

We’ve seen an increase in those attacks by the Israeli army in the occupied West Bank, including assassinations in Jenin, Tulkarem and Nablus.

While the world’s attention is focused on Lebanon and Gaza, many observers feel that Israel believes it has a free hand to do as it wants in the occupied West Bank, to keep things under wraps.

Israeli strike on Qana village ‘symbolically important’, echoes massacres in 2006, 1996

We know this is very much an active scene in Qana. Rescue are workers digging through the rubble to see if there are any more survivors.

We know at least 10 people have been killed and 15 wounded, and a healthcare centre struck. It’s certainly not the first time. Israeli forces have killed dozens of healthcare workers since the beginning of this conflict with Hezbollah and have hit a number of facilities.

At least 37 healthcare facilities have also been closed down. It led the World Health Organization just a couple of weeks ago to warn about the provisions for mass trauma management, particularly in these active areas in the south of Lebanon and in the Bekaa Valley, and also the southern suburbs of Beirut.

We also know that Qana is symbolically important to the people there. In 2006, more than 50 people were killed in Israeli shelling and also, 10 years before, in 1996 at least 116 people were killed in Israeli shelling of Qana. Many of those people were fleeing from the war and trying to find shelter.

We also understand this evening, that there have been a number of strikes in southern Lebanon and across the Bekaa Valley. Mostly civilians are being caught up in the crossfire since the beginning of this conflict in October 2023. More than 2,350 people have been killed so far.
