SYNOPSIS:

Saturn Rising is a talismanic grimoire promoting the veneration, worship and pursuit of death in all its formless glory, whether manifesting as death-as-ending, death-as-change, or death-as-rebirth. While it may appear that creation and destruction are the two ends of a very broad spectrum, this work serves to guide the reader to the understanding that they are but two sides of a very thin coin, remaining forever inseparable.

In order to create a work of art, we must first destroy a virgin canvas. Before we are able to compose a piece of music, we must likewise destroy the sanctity of silence. When we choose to create more Life for ourselves, we must also understand how – and what it means – to Die.

Saturn Rising is a fundamentally different text to most every esoteric publication to date. Its extensive use of dependable and reproducible modern science as a device for conceptual metaphor, in addition to its fervent championing of the Scientific Method remind us of those two short statements which grace the “Equinox” journal of the Argenteum Astrum: “The Method of Science — The Aim of Religion”.

While some may regard as suspicious the inclusion of a highly-scientific foundation within a talismanic grimoire, its purpose is by no means to attempt to explain-away any spiritual experience in terms of psychological – or other – wholly-physical phenomena.

Rather, it is to provide a common foundation and a base of universal definitions by which spiritual experiences may be communicated, systematically evaluated, and if possible, even reproduced. Surely, there can be no better model to adopt than that of modern science if one wishes to attempt the reproduction – and study – of spiritual, mystical and paranormal phenomena.

The greatest benefit to the use of science in a work such as Saturn Rising is the great deal of conceptual standardization, and incremental advancement made possible. Whereas once, religious metaphor was used to explain even the most elementary physical principles we see all around us in the natural world, and which we now take for granted.

Over the course of time, our understanding of Nature has progressed to such a degree that we are now able to reverse this practise, and instead use scientific examples of well-known phenomena to classify our many varied experiences, allowing for the systematic exploration thereof.

When dealing with such potentially-volatile concepts as death-worship and the integration of the death-current into our existing magical and religious systems, it is useful beyond measure to be able to approach – and adopt – these often-dangerous ideas in a manner, and at a pace best suited to ourselves alone.

This is perhaps the most advantageous manifestation of all those which result from the founding of death-cultism upon a firm bedrock of scientific methodology.

The first section of Saturn Rising – entitled “Theory” – concerns itself with exploring the three principal manifestations of death energies; that is, death as an ending, as change, and as a rebirth.

The fundamental nature of death itself is considered from the perspective of the author as a medical professional, the social phenomenon known as the “Seven-Year Itch”, and other social aberrations such as a disproportionate propensity for suicide – among numerous other topics – are treated with great clarity, depth of thought, and with two key concepts held at the fore.

Firstly, how the consideration of these theoretical subjects may benefit either the understanding, or the application of death-cultism by the reader, so as not to waste their time and energy on trivia or minutiae.

Secondly, how the cosmic archetype of Saturn and its associated correspondences ultimately tie-in to the concepts at hand, and what it is that Saturn may be able to teach us regarding death in each of its forms, throughout each of the chapters of this section.

Did you know that Tobacco is the plant most directly associated with Saturn? As is the elemental metal Lead, while Saturn itself is related to both Death, and the passage of Time. What most people do not know, however, is that a number of commercial American tobacco crops are fertilized with material in which extremely high concentrations of a radioactive version of the lead metal may be found. All we need do is add a little time, and it’s little wonder that cigarettes are related to so many cancer deaths.

At each step of the way, there is a direct and undeniable link to both death in some form, and Saturn as the archetypal representative thereof, while associations such as this prove themselves to be a recurrent theme throughout the entirety of this work, both quite by accident and yet with an almost unbelievable frequency.

The second section of Saturn Rising – entitled “Practise” – deals with the real-world application of established Western Ceremonial Magical techniques, the standardization of fundamental magical definitions using scientific methodology, the construction and employment of ritual tools, the nuances of magical timing, the overriding procedure behind the modified Western method of ritual magic as presented in this text, and a secular, non-ceremonial form of magic which has heretofore seen mention in various books of Chaos – and of course, other – postmodern magical systems, yet not been fully explained in practise, nor had its fundamental workings hypothesized about to any great degree.

Both of these oversights have been addressed in Saturn Rising, and a not-only complete, but also eminently workable form of creative magic – similar in some respects to the sigil magic techniques of Austin Osman Spare and Kenneth Grant – comes to the fore as a unique and incredibly flexible means by which future events may be easily molded and shaped to an incredible degree of acuity.

Finally, Saturn Rising closes with a selection of rituals designed to initiate the practitioner into the current of Saturnian death-cultism. The focus of these rituals is to provide a solid framework by which the sole magician may engage with, manipulate to their own ends, and apply in whatever fashion they see fit the energies of death, including integration into their own system(s) of magic and spirituality.

The rites themselves include techniques by which gateways into the spiritual realm – including those areas in which angelic and demonic entities are said to reside – may be opened, allowing for a greater degree of contact with spirits, a deeper immersion within the subjective experience of ritual evocation, and the control of non-conscious energy for all manner of interesting ends.

The concluding ritual provides the reader with the means to ritually charge objects with spiritual energy, or even invite the habitation of a spirit – again, including angels and demons – within the object in question, usually with the understanding that the particular spirit employed will continue to influence the magician’s life in a positive way, so long as the object sees frequent personal contact.

It is for this reason that enchanted jewelry is most commonly encountered, but it must be understood that this situation is a mutual exchange and not one of spiritual dominance, or the use of magical force against the will of an entity.

Overall, Saturn Rising is a unique grimoire which aims to further the conscious acceptance and understanding of the death current, even to the point of venerating this ubiquitous and universal element within the natural world, of which the spiritual and magical realms are but a small part.

Into the Void – The Suicidal Initiation of Mars in Saturn by J.T. Kirkbride, author of Saturn Rising.

The Into the Void Monographic Grimoire book bridges between the main works of Saturn Rising and the forth coming book, scheduled for release in 2023: Saturn Rising volume 2.

Into the Void. It is a hands on workbook for those who already have familiarized themselves with the subject matter and system of magic as presented by the author in Saturn Rising.

Synopsis of Into the Void by J.T. Kirkbride.

Over the course of human evolution, one thing has developed and grown which has allowed us to survive within the impersonal environments of unrelenting Nature.

Once a useful and necessary tool by which we could separate ourselves from the herd around us, this one irrational concept now threatens to destroy both our humanity, and Humanity itself.
This thing of which I speak, is the human ego.

The human ego gives us a sense of Self. It allows us to say “this is me”, and in today’s culture, extends so far as to include “this is what I believe… This is what I expect… This is what I demand”.

Our very identity as human beings, belonging to a race of biologically-similar creatures, hinges upon the premise, and rests squarely within the bounds of what we – as a democratic collective – have decided constitutes a person, or a single individual in our modern world. We are all equal, but only because we have an ego structure which screams to be heard and recognised.

The human ego is a conceptual trap, and long-outlived its purpose as an evolutionary tool millennia ago, with the advent of civilisation and agriculture.

Rather than provide us with a survival instinct, it now simply acts as the proxy mannequin by which we measure our civil rights, and our collective entitlements. Rather than provide us with survival instincts and announce “run, you’re about to get hit by a bus!”, it now screams “how much can I sue the bus company for, after they run be down?”. Such fallacies should not be allowed to exist.

Without an ego structure as we know it, we would not need empathy, for we would share each others’ pain; we would not need compassion, for helping others is, in fact, the same as helping ourselves. There would be no thought of reward for good deeds, for the deed along would be payment enough, in seeing others well, and happy.

This cannot come to be, so long as our egos insist that we are separate creatures and independent in thought, and existence; separate from each other, separate from our host planet, separate from the universe, and separate from god, however it is chosen to be defined.

This philosophy is mirrored in the Western Ceremonial Tradition, but is is known as “crossing the Abyss”.

This act of magical transcendence requires great achievement, great discipline, and the willingness to let oneself go – or, perhaps, the sense of oneself – in order to leave the dualistic world of self vs. other behind, and become unified within Binah and the supernal triad of the Tree Of Life. This next volume, bridging between Saturn Rising vols. 1 & 2, serves as a theoretical groundwork, and extended series of practical pathworking exercises designed to abolish and implode one’s sense of self and the mundane ego.

Freed from this limitation, we will be able to ascend much more easily, regard dualisms as the fantasy of sub-Abyssal existence, and step effortlessly across the Abyss anytime we please, recognising immediately that we are no longer owned, manipulated or subservient to our mundane, human egos.

For those who have read Saturn Rising vol.1, the idea of suicide will be familiar as the introduction of Martian energies into a Saturnian environment, providing the fiery, Masculine impetus to effect change in the sullen, cold and introspective Saturnian world.

By working through the exercises and rituals in Into The Void, one will effectively commit a form of voluntary spiritual suicide from which it would be difficult to recover, and yet, provide so much greater benefit to the spiritual substance of the practitioner, that no other single change could effect such a dynamic and positive shift within the ir own person.

It should be noted that the mundane ego is not completely destroyed, and that it is no more difficult to go about one’s day thinking of themselves as the person they believe they are. Rather, the ego is imploded on a spiritual level, not on a mundane level, so that when acts of magic and ritual are undertaken, the primal, basic concept of “me” does not get in the way of higher aspirations, in which there exists no division, no you, or I, or anybody else, but simply all as one.

After the ritual is complete, it is a simple matter to go back to pretending to be who we think we are in order to conduct our daily business, but we will know better deep in our hearts, and we will feel better on the whole, no longer being hung-up with the idea of a permanent, unchanging, and eternal “I am”.

The ego is a liar; for some, it inflates their sense of self beyond reason and to the contempt of others. For the rest, it lies again and limits their true ability with false ideas of inferiority and ineptitude.

Rarely do we ever find a person whose true, inner self is mirrored precisely and accurately by their own perception of their abilities, limitations, or entitlements.

The rituals presented in this forthcoming volume side-step these issues entirely, and negate all significance our own personal egos attempt to convince us must be the truth, for they are but liars.

It is time for the ego of Mankind to reach its final death; it is time to step into the void, and commit ritual suicide in the name of Mars in Saturn.

MAGISTER OFFICIORUM by Julio Cesar Ody – Trade Paperback

Magister-Officiorum-1w.jpg

Description
Trade paperback. Book is in new unread condition.

With Magister Officiorum, Ody has produced an essential text for those who want to practice Solomonic magic. The result of patient and extensive magical work, this is a record of attainment informed by the Western magical tradition, Espiritismo and Obeah.

The subjects covered in this study include: the place of evocation, the magical circle and the book, the ritual tools and regalia, including the black handled knife, the brazen vessel, robes, and the pentagonal and hexagonal figures. Also addressed is ritual purity, and the necessity of authority in the art of commanding spirits.

Ody gives clear explanations of the process of ritual and the methods by which to ensure success in evocation – understood as a physical interaction between magician and spirit. Further, he demonstrates principles of magical working that are not explicitly given in the typically terse instructions of the grimoires. Also given is a method for the obtaining of a key to be used in the eventual binding of a King; how to bottle spirits; a working with the vessel and skull; and a rite for obtaining a patron spirit under the auspices of Lucifer.

The rites given are suitable for solo practice and group workings, notably using the model of the séance (black table spiritism) in order to establish spirit cults. As a result the text will be of aid to both novitiates and experienced practitioners alike.

Magister Officiorum gives accounts of spirit workings, including Lucifer, Buné and Gemon, and includes a suggestive catalogue of spirit contacts with Acham, Paymon, Astaroth, Frimost and Malphas that demonstrate the author’s aptitude in the work.

The Grimoire of the 72 Angels of the Shemhamphorash by Qirui Huo.

This book contains the complete transcript of the three magic manuscripts as regards the 72 Angels. It includes The Divine Cabal, The Book of the Cabala ie Lemoth or of Names, and The Schem-ham-maphoras. These manuscripts were originally written by Lazare Lenain and copied & translated by Frederick Hockley between 1840-1841. Besides the transcription, massive comparative annotation on relevant manuscripts are appended as well.

* * * * *
Qirui Huo is an author from China, and an occultist and teacher, mainly studying in the field of Ceremonial Magic, Grimoire Tradition, especially Solomonic Magic, Angelic Magic, etc. In recent years, he spread Western occultism in China through lectures, articles, and books. he has also cooperated with other Occult authors transnationally by means of providing important manuscript materials or co-publishing magic books with them.

A brief description about the book by Qirui Huo:

The book is named The Grimoire of the 72 Angels of the Shemhamphorash. This book was preliminary edited in 2020.

The original materials used in the book are mainly based on the 3 magic manuscripts copied by Frederick Hockley between 1840-1841. They are The Divine Cabal, The Book of the Cabala ie Lemoth or of Names, and The Schem-ham-maphoras. The themes and contents of these manuscripts involve 72 Angels and Lazare Lenain’s La Science Cabalistique.

Regarding the first book, The Divine Cabal, this book mainly describes the relationship between the 72 Angels and the God name יהוה Tetragrammaton, the explanations that they correspond to or preside over various things in the world, and the information about 12 more Superior Angels ruling the 72 Angels and 12 Signs of the Zodiac. And more importantly, the Characters or Seals of each of these 72 Angels, and Prayers are given in the text. The whole book describes the practical instructions for working with these 72 Angels.

The second and third books, The Book of the Cabala ie Lemoth or of Names, and The Schem-ham-maphoras, are actually the English translation of La Science Cabalistique published in 1823 by the French author Lazare Lenain, a contemporary of Hockley. It is 3 centuries earlier than The Science of the Kabbalah (2020), which was recently published by Piers A. Vaughan. Meanwhile, Hockley’s copies is quite different from the original French of Lenain, in terms of 72 Attributes and Influences of God and of the 72 Angels.

For this reason, I also showed these different French paragraphs in the footnotes and translated them into English so that the readers may see the differences between them.

Like the first book, these two manuscripts also record the Characters or Seals of the 72 Angels that are not included in Lenain’s book. These Seals are also very different from those of the 72 Angels from Arsenal MS 2495 given by Robert Ambelain in his book La Kabbale Pratique (1951).

In fact, by comparing all the manuscripts that I have found that record Seals of the 72 Angels, it can be seen that the Angels’ Seals recorded in Arsenal MS 2495 are very corrupt and incomplete.

In the process of writing this book, I referenced up to 5 manuscripts (They have all obtained publishing licenses from the Libraries), made their complete transcriptions and detailed notes, as well as many important tables to ensure the authority of my edition, and to provide the readers with comprehensive knowledge.

On the whole, the subjects of all the 3 books I have shown in this book are related to 72 Angels. The first book is a detailed practical explanation of invoking these angels, and the second and third books are theoretical guidance, mainly on the 72 Angels, their different Attributes and Offices. And these contents form a complete and detailed Grimoire of 72 Angels.

This book is like Lemegeton’s first book, Goetia. It is a living, practical, and important Angelic Grimoire. Like the enduring popularity of other works related to 72 Demons and 72 Angels, and the precious legacies left by Frederick Hockley, a famous occultist and manuscript scribe, I believe that through the sale of my book, it would bring brand new magical knowledge and practical experience to the majority of magic enthusiasts, magicians and scholars in the future.

THE EXPLICIT NAME OF LUCIFER by Gilles de Laval – Hardcover Edition (Preorder)

Explicit-Names-1.jpg

Description
NOTE: This is a preorder and is not expected to ship until November. Overseas orders that have both in stock and preorders in order will wait until preorder titles arrive before ship entire order.

Book is in new unread condition

Synopsis:

Being at once a grimoire of Goetic conjuration, a new Shem ha Mephorash system, and a treatise on the construction of a new, subversive English gematria.

A pocketbook-sized condensed formulary outlining a previously unpublished, lesser Shem ha Mephorash system. It employs the the same set of semiotic mechanics which resulted in the well-known version, this time utilized to analyze another passage in the same set of ancient source documents, this one pertaining conceptually to Lucifer, the puissant, renegade archangel of light who dominates much of modern Western left-hand-path occultism.

Its catalog of 26 spirits, in addition to being open to the same kind of techniques outlined in the previous two books, are alchemically distilled into charged memetic essences that repurpose the letters of the English alphabet and provide a new, specialized Gematria for establishing lattices of esoteric correspondences.

The lattices organize groups of concepts that can be written in the English alphabet, opening them up to new and strange dimensions of analysis. 112 pages, standard Pocketbook format.

Contents:

– Luciferal Ciphers
– The Script of Lucifer
– The Lesser Shem ha Mephorash of Lucifer
– Demonic Venusian Energy Matrix
– The Demons of the Luciferal Script
– Ritual Preparations
– The Conjuration Seal of the Spirits of the Luciferal Script

SEFER YEROCH RUACHOT by G. De Laval – Hardcover Edition (Preorder)

Sefer-Yeroch-Ruachot-2nd-1-copy.jpg

Description
NOTE: This is a preorder and is not expected to ship until November. Overseas orders that have both in stock and preorders in order will wait until preorder titles arrive before ship entire order.

Book is in new unread condition

A third, previously unpublished Shem ha Mephorash system. Whereas the original Shem ha Mephorash was considered by those who hold it sacred to be The Explicit Name of [יהוה], the Yeroch Ruachot are a complex cipher whose solution invokes and illustrates not the mysteries of the Tetragrammaton but those of said Deity’s cosmic antagonist.

The 27 spirits therein are again subject to all the same techniques of contemplation and praxis.

Furthermore, the book goes very deeply into these spirits, illuminating them under the lamp of Lunar-based witchcraft, with a specific focus on this discipline from the perspective of baleful, venomous femininity.

In this sense the grimoire outlines a complete and coherent system of ritual and mystical Satanism from the point of view of Shaktism or focus on the aspect of esoteric Darkness as an essentially feminine Power, placing the magician as a supplicant and worshiper at the feet of that Power.

This book features 28 fantastic illustrations from Worthless Endeavors and will bend your bookshelf at a hefty 339 pages in Royal book format. Black Italian linen bound hardcover, gold foil lettering to the spine and front cover sigil in gold foil also.

The Deluxe edition description:

Description
One of only 50 leather bound hardcover copies.

300 pages, 120 grams paper book block
full leather bound hardcover, adorned with gold foil lettering to spine and front cover stamp. Book is in new unread condition

From the publisher:

Sefer Yeroch Ruachot is an exhaustive treatise of 27 lunar spirits whose names form a complex cipher that is an explicit name of Satan, a previously unknown Shem ha Mephorash system pertaining to Satan, the opposer, the antagonist of the right-hand-path complex of Abrahamic religions.

The demons of this grimoire, complete details of their alchemical construction, their relationship with dozens of other entities, conjurations seals and alchemical spirit signatures, as well as a full ritual system of working with them, is included.

This work is the third installment of grimoires touching upon the world of greater Shem ha Mephorash entities: the book “Black Magic Evocation of the Shem ha Mephorash” and “The Explicit Name of Lucifer” are the first two books in the series, of which this work will be the largest and most comprehensive member so far with more than 300 pages in Royal book size, including 28 illustrations and countless sigils and mandalas.

Sacerdotium Umbrae Mortis by Gilles De Laval – Hardcover Edition (Preorder)

Sacerdotivm-Vmbrae-Mortis_1w.jpg

Description
NOTE: This is a preorder and is not expected to ship until November. Overseas orders that have both in stock and preorders in order will wait until preorder titles arrive before ship entire order.

“The book is a complete system of initiation and ascension in the grades of The Priesthood of the Shadows of Death, an order of predatory sorcerors who specialize in the practice of energy vampirism and in the necromantic conjuration of revenant phantom shades from the eleven hells of the Qliphoth.

The system is based on meticulous research into the eleven tribes of Canaan, enemies of the Right-Hand Path who esoterically represent eleven classes of hostile, predatory vampiric shadowforms who emanate from hells of black magick and the anti-world of death. Multiple levels of correspondences and esoteric enumerations are given as well as conjuration sigils and numerous seals and illustrations so that the initiate can ritually evoke not only these necromantic shades, but their ruling princes.

The grimoire, when studied and used properly, allows brave magicians to ascend in exotic spheres of consciousness and power by communion with and transmogrification by these venomous Lords of the Abyss. Included are various lists of attributes of vampirism, the four stages of initiation, four grades of mastery, tables of days, hours, and elemental and planetary correspondences suitable for infernal conjuration, and complete descriptions of the panoply, implements and rites of vampiric necromancy that comprise the order of Sacerdotium Umbrae Mortis.”

The secret of occult magic (or ‘Magick’ as the English occultist Aleister Crowley defined it) is focused in its entirety on the study, magnification, gathering and direction of life-force within the body and mind of the practitioner.

This life-force manifests within the human being in the form of sexual energy or prana, a psycho-physical energy which has supernatural potential.

In his early life, and in his magical career within the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, Aleister Crowley sensed and recognised the need of this life-affirming force as the substrate of any achievement of the will whatsoever. As a mountaineer, master of chess, student of meditation and master of Magick, Crowley worked tirelessly upon himself, to find and gather all exisiting sources of information regarding the focusing of the will and spent decades finely tuning his practise of powering this will with an unstoppable force. His writings are the most detailed and technically perfect source of information on the use of sexual magick in the world.

After his student period within the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, Aleister Crowley travelled to India and China seeking knowledge of the fundamental secret of magick in schools of Yoga and oriental alchemy.

In 1910 he joined and soon became head of the secret occult school known as OTO or Ordo Templi Orientis. At the time this was a German based esoteric order with an initiatory system like Freemasonry but with strong Knights Templar connections. The Orders name means literally ‘Order of the Eastern Templars’ and their secret rituals and degree instructions purported to deliver the sexual secret of magick.

Crowley, as advanced in practical occultism as he was in theoretical scholarship, soon took over the Order and re-structured the system based upon his own unique and far-ranging insights upon sexual magick.

The resulting blend was a powerful fusion of ritual occultism, techniques of mental control, Indian, Chinese and other oriental techniques for harnessing the life-force.

Many of these ideas appeared in a simple form in the theorems and ritual instructions of ‘Magick in Theory & Pratice’ (Paris 1929) by Aleister Crowley, finding their summit in the ‘Liber Samekh’ or Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel contained within the pages of ‘Magick in Theory & Practice’ 1929, a detailed instructional document for one of Crowleys advanced pupils (Frank Bennett) where Crowley makes explicit the relationship between the sexual force of the unconscious and the Higher Self.

Aleister Crowleys ‘Magick in Theory & Practice’ is still today one of the most advanced and complete presentations of practical occultism, but the detailed instructions required to make the system work in a precise and perfect manner have never been entirely revealed.

For nearly fourty years after journeying to the East, Crowley continued to study and experiment with the secret of the life-force and imbued his Tarot designs (‘The Book of Thoth’ published in 1944) with these ideas, many images in the deck of cards relate to passages in his ‘Book of the Law’ and other magickal writings, but some speak directly as to the inner alchemy of self-change or ‘Magick’, and point to the sexual origins of this driving force.

Perhaps the most striking influence of Crowleys teaching and ideas in relation to the use of this sexual energy in occultism is that which he had upon the witchcraft author Gerald Gardner.

Crowley issued a charter to operate degrees of OTO to Gerald Gardner and would have issued him with the relevant instructions and papers to practise the secrets of sexual magick.

After Gerald Gardner we see the ‘King of the Witches’ Alex Sanders writing in his personal notebook (‘The Alex Sanders Notebook’ published also by Hell Fire Club Books) lists of deities, demons and powers all drawn from the tables in Crowleys ‘Magick in Theory & Practise’. Sanders own alterations to this material make it abundantly clear that he had himself worked upon the secret energies of magic from the beginning, his later career saw him experiment broadly with this energy.

The influence that these ideas have had upon the esoteric sciences in the West, upon the history and literature of magick, upon art, pop culture and the development of new and diverse social and religious movements around the world has been immense.

Students of occultism, mind control, tantric yoga, practical occult magick, witchcraft and Thelema today all require a clear and detailed guide to the practical application of this power, so we here present for the first time a full collection being 271 printed pages covering:

CYPRIAN OF ANTIOCH: A Mage of Many Faces by Frater Acher – Deluxe Leather Bound Edition

Description

a full fine Nappa-lamb leather binding, made entirely by hand according to traditional bookbinding craft,
extra thick book covers with a sloping cut around the edges,
four ornament spine hubs and a gold embossed title,
a long, blood red tail-band, and handmade French black and red marbled front and end papers.

The book is printed on 310 pages of thick 120 gram-per-square paper in full color, following the same dimension as the Standard Hardcover edition of 8×5 inch x 5.5 inch.
The stunning highlight of this unique binding, however, is its three-levelled relief frontispiece, featuring an igneous Cyprian of Antioch icon.

Published by Theomagica

From the publisher:

The literary tradition of books attributed to Cyprian of Antioch can be traced back to the following legend: Upon his conversion to Christianity all his magical manuscripts were burned on a pyre. All but one. A single book managed to escape the flames. And rather than falling into ashes, it fell into further living hands. Hands that secretly opened it, carefully studied it and silently copied it. And so began the tradition of Cyprian grimoires.

Much has been published in recent years on the genre of Cyprian grimoires and the many recipes of folk- or high-magic they preserve until today. Our actual knowledge of the person Cyprian of Antioch, however, has remained incredibly brittle. More importantly to the practicing magician of today even – our knowledge about the actual living spirit that Cyprian of Antioch is today has remained equally elusive.

The book ‘Cyprian of Antioch: A Mage of Many Faces’ is the result of more than two years of academic research and first hand magical work with the spirit of St.Cyprian. It’s deliberate intent was not to add to the existing canon of Cyprianic grimoires – in the sense of sharing additional ritual recipes or magical instructions. Instead each chapter of this book was written as a literary journey into the presence and spirit of Cyprian himself.

While we explore a large range of new material, we not only learn about the traces he has left in our Western tradition of magic, but we get to know the spirit that he is himself. Writing this book was the attempt to create an actual encounter for the reader – with a spirit which has continuously influenced our magical lore in the West for almost a full millennia and a half.

Where else could this journey better begin than in the underground crypt that has guarded over our magical Saint’s burial ground for centuries (Chapter1)?

From there we travel into an ancient scroll that guards the oldest prayer attributed to Cyprian – which holds no lesser goal than to exorcise an entire lineage (Chapter2).

We will explore a forgotten German fairy tale that knows of a magical mirror crafted by our spirit ancestor, that can both heal or steal the soul of people (Chapter3).

We will glance ourselves into such a magical mirror – and explore Cyprian’s practical role in Divination by means of two actual, contrasting examples applied by our ancestors (Chapter4).

And we journey out to the feet of the famous Mount Brocken, where we visit an ancient cloister where Cyprian first mingled his blood with the devil (Chapter5).

Finally, we return to the Southern shores of the Mediterranean and discover the great secret that our magical Hero held on to so well – and without which the serpent cannot bite its tail (Chapter6).

— And after all these journeys, we might see the paradox: that while setting out on this expedition with the firm intent not to write about any of the Cyprianic grimoires, we did create exactly that. A book that leads us into the inner circle of this living spirit. Not through ritual grammar, but through the grammar of stories and encounters.

It is in this spirit that I hope to present a truly magical book. A book that comes alive with each reader’s journey, a book that holds the key to a direct encounter with our magical Saint.

In an even more literal sense this book is also talismanic: the amazing artist Stuart Littlejohn created a dedicated icon of Cyprian of Antioch for this book. It was used for the cover image and a full page, colored reproduction can be found in the book – ready to be cut out and put on your altar if you wish to.

This icon of Cyprian of Antioch is not only special due to Mr.Littlejohn’s expertly skill and craft, but also because many of the existing images falsly attributed to Cyprian of Antioch actually depict the bishop of Cathargo of the same name and time.

If we follow the oldest known depictions of Cyprian of Antioch we see him as a man with a short beard and dark hair. — So in addition to the journeys waiting for you on these pages, you will also find a ritual icon that takes us back to the earliest sources of Cyprian of Antioch.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to the following people and fellow travellers without whom this book would not have been possible: Josephine McCarthy for her willingness to publish this book and the excellent perspective and advise she offered at many milestones of this journey. Michael Sheppard for his amazing skill, patience, pace and committment in copy editing this book (from someone whose first language is not English). Stuart Littlejohn for his astonishing vision and craft in giving this book more than a face – but a ritual inter-face.

And Jake Stratton-Kent for reading an early draft version of the book and encouraging me to go further with it. — Finally, thank you a lot to all the wonderful authors and publishers on Cyprian of Antioch who have come before me, and on whose broad shoulders this book stands.

It's difficult to understand why humans turn to other humans -- both in person (e.g. priests, pastors, rabbis and imams, etc.) and in their explanations (i.e. all of the books written that obviously lack divine inspiration) -- instead of turning to our Creator, and asking Him to explain the Book He sent: The Bible, including the Old Covenant/Testament, the New Covenant/Testament and the Koran/Quran.

Humans lack the facilities of spiritual eyesight and spiritual hearing, and thus are unable to see or hear, much less understand ANYTHING spiritual. Only a spiritual-Being can do that, and NONE can do better than our Creator and His First-Created Son/Anointed One/Messenger/Angel, Both of Whom are Spiritual-Beings.

Only through a thorough understanding of the spiritual world, gained through spiritual eyes and spiritual ears, can one hope to recognize and appreciate all of the spiritual signs and wonders we have been provided, to teach and train us along The Way.

Why do you claim God sent the Koran, bearing in mind it's totally different from the Bible?
It says for example that Jesus was NOT the son of God, and that the Crucifixion was a con trick.

Why are you reading these?
They all have a very narrow focus, a curated collection of the magic that aligns most darkly
are you wishing to practice this type of magic or are u just curious about it?

If you are a collector of the dark and the strange you need to check this book out
This thread is to make people aware of what is contained in grimoires. I would never practice left hand path magick, only hermetic magick, white magick or right hand path magick if I knew how.

I started studying the occult, just by reading books to see if I could find any truths and/or secrets in these books, and to try to find out if there is any connection with the elites and the occult.

I have found out that the zionist jews' god is the gnostic demiurge Yaldabaoth, from the book The Cult of the Black Cube by Arthur Moros.

A lot of the books you are posting are extreme left hand path
A lot of it is demonology
It is very difficult to study these things without getting drawn in to that world view
Just by concentrating on the symbols seals and sigils gives them power and impresses them into your mind

Do you believe that about Yaldaboath?

I know and understand these are extreme left hand path books. You're right about people getting drawn into the left hand path through study and thank you for your concern. I thought I could study these things without getting drawn into their worldview how a religious scholar studies different religions without getting drawn into them.

And yes I believe that about Yaldabaoth.

I feel it is hard not to get drawn in, but it must be possible to maintain detachment. Good luck!

Do you think that knowing the Jewish god is really the demiurge makes a difference to the attributions of LHP and RHP?
If the Jewish god is the demiurge does that make the goetic demons into angels or do they retain their negative nature?

The demons remain demons, and angels remain angels.

I think I probably agree with you about that
I was surprised to see so many hardcore occult books listed here so thank you for explaining your thoughts to me, and good luck with your studies

Thank you. I also view the occult and magick, and all of its paths as being actual lost sciences.

Since scientists have neglected the occult and spirituality, they are missing out on a whole world of science (that we don't know) that are the occult sciences. I am a scientist at heart, perhaps there is, or are things to be learned from studying the occult.

I have not learned astrology yet, but astrology is a real science and is not bullshit or make-believe like we are taught.

Yaldabaoth, his created archons, including the zodiacal archons (the Zodiac signs are actual archons) impose an astrological fate upon you, but that fate can be changed. Isn't that interesting?

There are spirits living on the astral plane of other planets, such as Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, and the grimoires are used to summon said spirits.

I have learned about something called gnosis.
There is something called gnosis and it isn't worth it. Gnosis is a scam. However there are some experienced magicians who have been granted gnosis and have written books.

While I am still a student of the occult and am a long way from praticing magick and establishing any contact with spiritual entities, spiritual entities have some sort of knowledge and intuition that we don't know (their own knowledge and intuition) that they can discuss or even grant to the magician. A spirit's own knowledge and intuition granted to the magician is called "gnosis" (gnosis is also the Greek word for knowledge).

However in order to be granted gnosis, a pact has to be formed between the magician and entity, and the magician will have to serve the entity in the afterlife. The length of this pact is determined by Saturnian spirit genii that are involved in karma and fate.

Unfortunately there seems to be an abundance of left-hand path occult material and it is harder to find non-left hand path material.
I'll see if I can find non-left hand path magick and occult systems, which may be more appealing to you.

A non-left hand path occult system is called hermeticism, which deals with the magick of the 4 elements fire, water, air and earth, and the fifth element ether. I'll look for hermetic literature and I'll post it here.

Anyway, Nikola Tesla once said that if scientists started studying non-physical phenomena, science would make more progress than ever in history. Imagine if physicists started studying the four elements fire, water, air, earth and ether, what would they find?
