If Islam was truly descended from Judaism and Christianity as it claims, it would not contradict core doctrines of Christianity such as the deity of Christ. It has more in common with strains of gnostic "Christianity" from 2nd and 3rd century heretics (who would never have known Jesus/ Jesus' 12 apostles personally as did writers of New Testament).

I've already said it, but ok...Ishamael was sent away and it was Issac that was the child of promise that God's covenant went through. Though God did make Ishamael a nation he has no part in the covenant with Issac. In Christianity, God's Son is Jesus and He reconciled repentant believers through His death and resurrection on the cross... islam doesn't teach that whatsoever....

Had Islam tried to ''lie'' and distort the image of Christ (Pbuh) why would his name be mentioned the most in our holy book with positive attributions? Why is it only the Muslims & Christians are the only once's that believe in the Christ's coming? Brother, I am at a stage in my life as A Muslim I see Christians as of the same religion. They believe God, they believe in Jesus, and so do we, and them two are to be praised. If anyone was to desecrate A church it would be he equivalent to desecrating a mosque, and I would put my life to protect A Church, and A Christian. Aman brother. One day, I wish we can come together as brothers, and unite for the sake of the lord and bring peace and love to our earth that God has given us.

Anyone, can call themselves anything doesn't make it true, in this case if you are a Christian you must follow the what the Bible says, by their fruits you shall know them...that's how I feel confident that I can spot a Christian or not.

I can't spot a Christian from the Bible, as the Bible has quite contradictory messages in the old testament and the new. The ones you say aren't Christians just follow the old testament, to me as an outsider you're a Christian as long as you follow the Bible.
