rigged award shows very few groups singing live. it isnt the be all end all if one of their award shows come to an end, if anything its one less thing that idols have to do bc lets face it theres only going to be so many groups who stand out from one another when theres so fucking many of them? lol award shows bring next to no value to the rest of society aside from their fan bases and the groups.
MAMA was good because people wanted to see unscripted interactions and reactions from their idols. But they keep locking down harder and harder in the last few years. So people kind of tune out.

Yes but these idols act more influencers than artists nowadays ,going to fashion shows etc..so yours predictions are rightI am seeing predictions that in a few years Kpop idols will be replaced by influencers. Young people in Korea who want to become famous now try the influencer route instead of auditioning to become an idol. Apparently, the rate of male applicants is already decreasing and I believe the rates for female applicants will soon start to decline as well. Kpop is sexist and becoming a kpop idol is dangerous for young women and girls (minor boys too). I personally hate the influencer phenomenon but the influencer route is definitely safer career option for young girls and boys who wish to become famous.

If you've read up on the TikTok parties for the underage influencers, you'll discover just the same happens. Though I suppose it's less work that dancing and singing training. They are looking for the path of least resistance.
Yeah I have heard some wild stories about tiktok influencers but still becoming a famous youtuber or influencer seems less dangerous because at least they have more autonomy and tend to earn more than idols.
