By accident I discovered that THC combined with Melatonin can produce altered state of dreaming that lies somewhere between consciousness and a fragile state of unconsciousness. Once you slowly realize you are in a dream state yet you can direct yourself to create and see things at will if all the conditions are aligned and functioning at proper levels. You can fly over mountain ranges and vast oceans of moonlit water. Animals appear frequently but cannot harm you. In a land of ghosts the living need not fear them as they have no physical strength. The living dead are the most dangerous. Like anything worth learning much practice is necessary to improve the manipulation of all facets of these mysterious ventures that are not without risk.

Some years ago I went to my doctor feeling a bit run down and it went like this-
DR- "You're depressed"
ME- "No I'm not, honestly"
DR- "You are"
ME "No I'm not"
DR- "I'll prescribe anti-depressants for you"

So I started taking them on the offchance the Dr was right, and it was if I was on another planet in a kind of dream because they distorted my view of reality, so I flushed the rest down the toilet but it was months before all traces vanished from my system and I got my brain back..:)

You're right about the risk. :)
Seems like the twilight, in between area is where we are more susceptible-- even without THC, etc.

Have you ever seen the documentary, The Nightmare?
Very woo-woo... lemme know if you want a link and I'll try to find it.

Dang... they hand that stuff out like candy.
The SSRIs, I mean-- very unpredictable, so also very dangerous for some people. :/

if my tiredness WAS due to depression, maybe the anti-depressants handed out by my doctor would have helped, but because I WASN'T depressed they made me feel weird.
The moral is that if we're prescribed meds that we don't need, they can seriously mess up our minds.
PS- Luckily in this internet age we can look up and fully research our maladies and make sure the quacks are diagnosing and treating us correctly.
THE NET IS THE BEST DOCTOR IN TOWN..:)
