I guess depression/spirituality does not correlate, but it helps to understand one another. The brain is still a biological and physical aspect of our bodies, and since the most part of it works by a endrocrinology system, it is important to keep it healthy and lead a full quality healthy lifestyle. On the other hand, consciouness is not physical, but an abstraction of our brain, and it can determine how we feel based on our beliefs spirituality wise. And that for it is so extremely important for us to know the presence of God in our lives and keep meditating in his words and in Jesus philosofy the most.

Only through Christ can man be made whole.

Matt 14:36 And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.

And only through the keeping of The Law/Commandments of God can one come to know and love Christ and His Father (The ONLY True God).

John 14:15, 21-24
14:15 If ye love me, KEEP my COMMANDments.

14:21 He that hath my COMMANDments, and KEEPETH them, HE it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
14:22 Jude saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will obey my words: and my Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
14:24 He that loveth me not obeyeth not my sayings: and the Truth which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

1 John 2:1-5
2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2:2 And he is the atonement for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for [the sins of] the whole world.
2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, IF we keep His Commandments.
2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth NOT His Commandments, is a LIAR, and the truth is NOT in him.
2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

John 17:3 And THIS is Life Eternal, that they might KNOW Thee the ONLY True God, AND Christ the Saviour, whom Thou hast sent.

Yes,
"After Jesus spent the night in prayer, everybody tried to touch him because power was coming from him" (Luke 6:12-19)

As this woman found out-

PS- We too can "touch" Jesus by thought and prayer, making the connection through which power begins downloading into us.. :)
"Our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power" (1 Thess 1:5)

I will say it one more time. The law is meant to show one their guilt before God and give give the knowledge of sin. The law can be used to show those who do not know God(including unregenerate Christians who havent been born again) their need for salvation, but the law is not made for the righteous person(1 Timothy 1:8-10) or individual in right standing with God(righteousness) who has come to Christ through repentance and faith and received the promise of the holy spirit. If someone is in Christ than that means they have been given and imputed his perfect righteousness. The holy spirit breaks the power of sin over the regenerate person as they are partakers of the divine nature that has already been created in holiness. If anyone is truly born again they are freed from sin meaning there is no desire for them to sin and to live in habitual sin as it would be contrary to their imparted new nature.

1 John 3:9 Amplified Bible (AMP)
9 No one who is born of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, because [a]God’s seed [His principle of life, the essence of His righteous character] remains [permanently] in him [who is born again—who is reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose]; and he [who is born again] cannot habitually [live a life characterized by] sin, because he is born of God and longs to please Him.

Gods spirit did what the law could not do which was take a man still bound by the power of sin and the law and give him a new nature entirely. The holy spirit is in me. I have no desire to commit those things which I did before when I was dead in my sin and unregenerate. The obligation to obey the law did not do this. The holy spirit of God did. What are those commandments you keep speaking of?

1John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
1John 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
1John 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

The two greatest things we are called to do in the NT.

1) Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and place your FAITH and trust in him
2) Love the brethren as Christ loved us

Love does no ill to his neighbor. Love is the royal law(James 2:8) and the law of Christ(Galatians 6:2, 1 Corinthians 9:21). Love is the fulfillment of the law. There are many who seem to not grasp this point and compare themselves to the requirement of the law and fail to even love their brother and sister. If anything I would contend that true love in action in the context of the scriptures would probably consist of a life of constant praying for others before God and witnessing to the lost who are still dead in trespasses and sins. If we think we are perfect in love for our neighbor(the law) before God, there is allot he could show to us as perfect love is a life of constant sacrifice for the benefit of others. Feeding them, clothing them, praying for them, living your life for their sake... This is the royal law or the law of Christ.

If anyone constantly needs to be reminded of the moral law or law of Moses and breaks them without the conviction of the holy spirit than there stands to reason they are sensual having not the spirit(Jude 1:19) and need to be born again. The righteousness of Christ is perfect and it is this same righteousness that is given and imputed to his people, or those who are circumcised through the holy ghost as this is the seal of a true Christian and Gods salvation. One sin is enough to send someone to hell and one sin is in essence a violation of the whole law. We either have perfect righteousness(imputed) through the sinless life of Christ or we have no righteousness. If I have the perfect righteousness of Christ that means I cannot attain a higher righteousness than that by striving to keep the law(If you break the law once its game over and you have lost any and all righteousness). It also means I cannot lose a speck of righteousness if I were to stumble into any particular sin if his blood still covers me under the new testament. There is a difference between living in habitual and willful sin and stumbling along in the sanctification process as John says if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves, but anyone who is truly in Christ and born again has perfect righteousness and it remains so so long as God is still at work in them. You can only set foot in Gods kingdom through a perfect righteousness and that righteousness can only come from Christs imputed righteousness.
