Interesting perspective. I see most if not all of this fandom and celeb stuff as psychological manipulation and brainwashing. Celebrity personas are fake and scripted; their job is to keep buzz, “controversies” and distractions going constantly.
It definitely is, but it's like teaching it's a job. Some teachers can create a lovely manipulative environment and create nice behaving little humans others can make the kids competitive and fight over scraps of attention. To me the purpose of kpop was to make the fandom desperate for validation, love and appreciation they will never get. That's why they do more than any other fandom out there but get the least. The fans are happy that if they ever see their favorite celeb they politely smile and turn the other way. I've never seen someone brag to not be allowed to walk up to someone they admire. They are not only okay with the superiority idols have to the average person they have internalized it. I think this is why depression and body dysmorphia and gender issues are rampant in kpop fandoms. Rather than getting their emotions for an artist out in a healthy way they flip it around and hyper focus on shipping and imagining themselves as males to fit the idea of what they believe their idol likes. Both girl group fans and boy group fans reject femininity in some way because of how unrealistic either the idea is compared to how they can relate to it or become it. It's almost pragmatic and seems highly destructive in nature both to Korean and American culture. It's taking the idolatry to another level. Their images are so far removed from reality if fans find out one thing that isn't perfect about the person they begin to have mental breakdowns. If 20th to 21st century entertainment was a class in the future I think that K-pop would mark the beginning of the end of the modern entertainment industry. It turned an artistic industry into a conveyor belt factory; which broke the very foundations of what everything was built off of. It's supposed to be real people taken and molded into something fake and then people loose interest over time and seek out the next young authentic thing. Now that everything is semi based off of the Kpop model nothing is authentic, it was rare before but now you have children who never had real lives and were kept inside perfect boxes. Plus the country's society makes it so most live that life anyway. This is why when you see kpop idols from america's old facebook you're confronted with the fact that even though most would see them as straight laced cookie cutter kids; in Korea if they took a picture with a foreign friend or a male hugged a girl, or they went to prom they are 'ruined' to the average Korean as an idol. This isn't a preference with American ent over Korean ent it's a question of is humanity loosing itself.

And also the way the kpop industry profits off of creating and maintaining parasocial relationships is beyond sick and toxic. I feel like kpop brainwashes a lot of people honestly. And it fosters unhealthy mindsets, especially for those who go all into it. As much as I really don’t care for Kpop and how it’s affected a lot of people, I still have no ill will toward the artists. I just wish they wouldn’t work that job, lol.
Parasocial relationship is the entertainment industry's psychological strategy to "hook" people into continuously buying the "products..." It creates and fosters delusions among the "fans" bringing forth a kind of addiction...The "artists" serve as manufacturing instruments...who are themselves, "victims" in the larger scheme of things...

Exactly. I would even go so far as to say a lot of the artists are not only victims but slaves. I have serious doubts that the ideas and projects said to be (largely) the artist’s are actually their own. I don’t even believe RM and Yoongi are actually writing half the things they claim either. I also believe whatever they do actually write, they were given the titles, subjects and themes to write about. It’s all too closely by the numbers. This latest single with Jimin for example- my goodness! I didn’t post half of what I found about that on this forum, but it’s so by the numbers it’s insane. Plus I find Jimin’s new music video creepy and disturbing; the rhythm and beat of the song also feels very hypnotic and trance-inducing.

Anyway, I also want to add this: a lot of times celebs function as prostitutes and escorts as well. It’s really sad and sick.
Just like this.

Yep. But there are always exceptions to the rule...so to speak...For real, there are artists who have been/are principled enough not to compromise their integrity as individuals...And surely they're not among the richest and most famous... The devil rewards more money and fame to those with "committed enslavement..."

it's extremely clear bts's success was not real. No current celeb's is. Ai controls the algorithm and the average person doesn't have a real choice in what they consume. They just think they do. Bts was purposely overpromoted and given an advantage over other groups to help push the western-Korean alliance. It was propaganda so that they don't have another massive political upheaval like they are having with palestine. Because of bts people will support whatever Korea and its allies do. They can't have too many massive successes, one because they only want so many far east asians in the american media and also it's easier to control a few groups and just push them rather than release all of kpop on the masses and be unable to control the narrative. They are the good slaves/soldiers so to speak they must have proved early on they will keep their mouths shut and will not rebel. Maybe other groups had more unstable and unpredictable people. Kpop was more of a military strategy than a genre of music. Even the music has things encoded in it. They use frequencies similar to what the army uses to quell populations. This is why bts and lots of kpop went edm around 2012-2014. The face that scooter braun is involved should tell you everything you need to know. He is a master mind. He's created plenty of artists under the table.

It may seem unbelievable but it's likely kpop was shadow run by the Americans the whole time in 2019-2020 they just revealed their hand. If you pay attention to their political beliefs/ideologies you will see that it's never a coincidence when celebs are picked above the rest of the litter.

S.m is not owned by lsm and never was. They tried to get rid of him and his f.m.s ties but they can't do that, this is why the company is failing now. You have to pay the piper. The hybe acquisition was fake news. If you watch the cnn interview they did with the ceo of hybe he was acting super weird. It was like he was being fed what to say. He didn't talk like other chinese billionaire's do-- ie super confident, he sounds unsure. Odd for such a wealthy and powerful man. He was being propped up to distract from the situation at hand. Around this time lsm was banned from working in the korean entertainment industry, and he was going to random places trying to spread the ai gospel. Very odd. Even now, 3 members from s.m's most popular group is sueing the company again for the second time in two years.

S.m is likely in trouble. I see hybe as being a remote controlled entity probably by another very large corporation. I think if they did buy s.m they would of immediately sold it to another company. It's something they were trying to do without seeming like that's what they were trying to do if that makes since.
