I may add that it is obvious that pied piper is a song about armys blindly following them. The lyrics are clear
but armies and other kpop fans won't freakin admit it or want to see it.
like I've got an issue with the go go song. Like it's fun and great but also annoying plus I feel like debating on it.
I hate that they took such an easily misleading sound and sarcastic tone for a message of being financially smart and saving your money, don't be frivolous and work hard. I feel like it sort of shuns the way people live and it marginalizes everyone where the message is judging anyone who seems careless with their money or lives too freely. it's a major problem with the elite agenda to narrow our thinking process to the point we don't treat each other as human. At first I thought the song was just another party flexing type of song like yeah I spend this money like some party i'm going hard wooo but even then it seemed kinda off and confusing. When I realized hey were sort of mocking or making fun of the people I got it. A part of me wants to agree but a part of me is like that's too broad and judgemental. Cause if that's the case I should not spend any money on BTS at all or go to their concerts since that would count as throwing money away since it's not key to my survival or moving up in the world (job, education, moving etc). I thought to myself why do they have this song when V (love him so much) wears gucci like it's nobody's business when he could actively chose a different style that is less straight forward for himself. (I mean it's his money, company's sponsorship choice, free gifts, whatever he can do what he wants but still) it kind of felt offending to me to have them of all people suggest how to live with money.
I won't promote being a fool with money but this life is all we got even if you believe in reincarnation and you come back again in some form, you won't be exactly you, just pieces of you with a life mission tied to your past life. Spend your money the way you want so long as it's not interfering with your development as a person. mental health, or costing you the rent or bills for your house or education. I have the same type of watch V has that he wore to the billboard awards the first time (a gucci watch) that I bought with my own money and am managing well money wise and care wise. It made me feel like I wouldn't know what their thoughts would be on me having such a thing since I'm not in the financial bracket to where this watch is like owning a kate spade (RIP) or regular affordable watch from a department store.
I just something about it turns me off. I love to jam to the song but it's like ???? they should have made it a party song cause the message missed the point and not everyone wants to use brain power to decipher what the hell they're talking about on a song that does not evoke brain power to begin with. The song kinda struck a nerve with me (yes "Triggered") cause how they were singing about things was how I use to be and how am I sometimes. but I spend my money and treat myself because I won't let society limit me and tell me I can't or shouldn't have things I want because it's not normal for me if I don't have a massive salary or networking connections of xyz. I have nice things but I put in the equal amount of work that I put into spending to balance it out and always make back whatever dispoable income I spend. I've gotten far with some of the few luxury and offbeat things I've purchased others would think is crazy cause I used them as a tool in circles and enviorments where it benefited me. I think BTS should have been more wise about that message. They sterotyped the act of spending and although I love them they were not as deep as they thought they were with it. For example by the grace of god (or whatever you believe in) if one of us fans ever became a friend of them you can grantee you would have needed to shell out some money to consistently get their attention and befriend you. (I mention this because there is a girl who is friends with rihanna a regular girl who is sort of a lower end youtuber she posted a video about how she became friends with rihanna during her teen years. Basically she was a sasaeng of rihanna [not a extremely crazy one, but she still practiced sasaeng tacits] and spent a lot of money to follow rihanna nd always get her attention until it paid off and she became a personal friend of hers* that would not have been possible had she been frugal and not spent. but then again that's a risk situation and is stupid anyways depending on the star you are chasing***)
I know the song isn't that deep but still. Eveyr song does not have to match the tone, but it annoyed me that the dumb downed armies couldn't get that everyone had the right to question what the song was about (on youtube) because it was confusing. Sometimes it's like the lyrics could say anything and they would not second guess nor question it.
