Disturbing imagery on one of Talking Heads' box set compilations.

I don't think this shows the full pictures for obvious reasons but of course there's the butterfly symbolism in there ha.

On that note, I'm also trying to figure out this 'sex-y' song from the Little Creatures album with the album cover that we just discussed.

Guys what do you think is the 'sleep of reason'?
Does it have anything to do with the enlightenment era 'Cult of Reason'? (Connection to Remain in Light?)
Are 'blue sparks' a synonym for neurotransmitters involved in sex or some kind of drug?

Is this some Schrodinger's cat thing? or reincarnation? Universalism?

More weird lyrics to psychoanalyse...
So apparently 'sleep of reason' is a reference from enlightenment thinker, Goya’s Los Caprichos.

Have you heard of 'DeGrowth movement'? It is "The idea is that the West has grown too big to be sustainable, so it is time to back off from growth and go backwards." in other words, lower everyone's standard of living. (except of course the elites, shhhhh)
Byrne has an album called 'Grown Backwards', I wonder if that is a reference to this movement? You also see this theme in "Nothing but Flowers".

am I reading too much into things?
Nah this guy is a WEF shill and he has written an article in favour of socialism and thought the lockdowns and stuff were a sign of human good...
I love Talking Heads music so much that I won't let this ruin my enjoyment, but man... Excuse my British, but what a wanker!! Those lockdowns ruined people's lives and livelihood and led to so much decay in society and ironically facilitated one of the greatest wealth transfers to an oligarchy while decimating honest small businesses.

In this wankerfest 'essay' he literally advocates for this very thing that James Lindsay was warning about in the first video I attached, so it's not to far a stretch if the album title was referencing this Herbert Marcuso movement of 'Degrowth'.

Take a look at these hands... The hands of a government man!!

DB put on an exhibition thing fairly recently called 'Theatre of the Mind' and it seems like one big MK-Ultra balley-hoo for me.

Interesting and dark interpretation of This Must Be the Place lyrics.

It's about goddess worship. See also, thank you for sending me an angel, girlfriend is better, the lady don't mind and creatures of love. Creatures of love is where the goddess 'gives birth' to the believer who builds a house (see houses in vudu) and when possessed lesser gods or magikal children (little creatures/demons) pass freely between the possessor and the possessed. See burning down the house video

ps for born under punches see fire and water rituals in vudu and the history of the hand(s) of glory

OMG I was just reading a Talking Heads biography book today and there was this bit where Tina went on about being weak and 'not having powers working' for her and voodoo from the audience making the members sick or something... Interesting.

It's all vudu. Every talking heads song is vudu, all the music we listen to whether it be pop, rock, blues, soul, funk, rap...it's all vudu. It's all based on vudu rhythm and vudu beat...all of it and talking heads are probably the band most steeped in the vudu 'ethos'. If you listen to music you can't escape it.

Here's a quote/proverb, possibly Haitian, that might explain tina's quote,

"Great gods cannot ride little horses"

The horse being the person being possessed (as in the song papa legba). If you want to understand talking heads you need to understand their religion...but i don't recommend you do.

Ps Debbie Harry was mentioned on a previous page...she's vudu too and a big fan of Dr John

John Lennon's 'Imagine' is satanic and anti-christian to the core-

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky...
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too..

Worst. Song. Ever. As if it couldn't get any worse those vapid celebrities thought singing it during the plandemic when people were losing their homes would cheer people up. I suppose I did chuckle because it was so horrendously cringeworthy, so they accidentally achieved their goal.
TH kinda unfortunately made a song a little bit like that called 'Heaven', but it's nowhere near as bad as Imagine because they just say it's 'a place where nothing happens' instead of making it a whole manifesto like wife-beater Lennon did.

Great thread!

I forgot about this story.
Thought it was worth posting.

Ahh! Thanks for posting this! Yes, I was going to post this here but I forgot about it too. That was definitely... an interesting song choice but an unsurprising one. Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland seem to be the top for programming. After reading the conditions actress Judy Garland and other performers were subject to in the Wizard of Oz production, it became more apparent.

I found footage of them recording... Someone in the comments said a teacher organised this for clout basically and it's a hoax.

I looked it up and found this:
Controversy as Newtown children's choir is revealed to have no connection to Sandy Hook and is run by former high school teacher accused of stealing

It doesn't surprise me. A lot of people profited from this psy-op in one way or another. What's one more? Sad.

Madonna was also signed with Sire Records, so considering she was signed with that record label like they were, couldn't that mean there was also something sinister going on with Ramones, even though it wasn't very obvious what it was with them?
I'm not saying The Ramones are sinister, but these two vids are loaded with symbolism. Poison Heart has a very dark theme.
