Current King James version held as authoritative by many has 39 books in Old Testament, 27 in New Testament. 39 is 3 x 13, 13 being a favorite Satanic number and triples of their numbers being considered especially powerful according to some sources (for instance, 3x11=33. see page:
https://amos37.com/no13/ ). 27 is 3 x 9, 9 being another favorite Satanic number, tripled here, again. 27 also reduces to 9, 9 representing ego, emptiness or lack of progress as I've come to understand it (see image below).
