Both Christianity and Islam, slave holding ideologies, have basically developed into intolerant, homophobic and misogynous religions. Both religions have grown themselves by the sword instead of good deeds and continue with their immoral ways in spite of secular law showing them the moral ways.

Jesus said we would know his people by their works and deeds. That means Jesus would not recognize Christians and Muslims as his people, and neither do I. Jesus would call Christianity and Islam abominations.

Gnostic Christians did in the past, and I am proudly continuing that tradition and honest irrefutable evaluation based on morality.

Not directly if my memory serves, but he certainly did indirectly when correcting the poor thinking of his people.

I am aware of what you put above and know what should be avoided linguistically.

That question basically came out of a religion scholar and I could not answer it and that is why I posed it.

I don't think I'd tell them they're stupid.
The way I see it is they experience "supernatural" phenom is cause regions in their brain make them hallucinate and see/hear things that are not there.

It all comes down to brain chemistry/health in my opinion.

They're not necessarily stupid, just the brain is neurologically active in some parts

If you could travel back in time 4000 years and guide people towards the truth..would you teach them about chemical bonding?

How do you compassionately tell a person that holds the same gnostic beliefs of the elite that they are borderline stupid for holding the same gnostic beliefs of the elite?

What would your answer be?

Gnostic Jesus would never call someone stupid. He might compare you to a dumb animal though. Or maybe that's me, idk I get us confused sometimes. But I don't really get this thread. Like part of me wants to nail this out of the park, and the other is like maybe I shouldn't take this seriously.

The supernatural is exactly why people pursue the Gnosis! There's literally no other reason to do it. I suppose we could argue about the origins of where we extract knowledge from. But the whole point is to try to go beyond what people are "naturally" used to doing. So I guess that's all I can really say.

How do you compassionately tell someone that declares he is a Gnostic, but doesnt hold to any Doctrine related to the Religion whatsoever, that calls himself a Christian but rejects the entire understanding of the philosophy of Christ (a supernatural being) and labels himself a Bishop yet contradicts this claim by continually rejecting the establishment of Authoritative Structured Organized Religion, that he is a hypocritical exceedingly illogical and willfully ignorant person who has crossed well over the border and line of stupid?
