I certainly believe you have convinced yourself of the rightness of your view. I simply disagree and am surprised that someone who looks to a commandment-keeping blend of Islam and Christianity would bother with this particular thread?

Why would it tell us that in scripture? The book of Acts refers to the martyrdom of James and later 1 Corinthians alludes to “this present distress” as in Christian persecution. Historical records from various sources record the events after that. I see no especially “Catholic” reason why the death of the various apostles should be fabricated or indeed and evidence that such accounts appeared late, due to Catholic influences.

You are quite welcome to believe what you wish and trust the sources you give credence to.

And in fracturing it into several different branches (Talmudic Judaism, "Christianity", "Islam", Buddhism, Hinduism, etc.), with thousands of different denominations/sects/cults, etc., it has been even more effective in dividing and conquering mankind, leading their customers/followers AWAY from God (Isa. 3:12).

There is no logical reason to assume that the disciples were "Jews" just because the setting was Judaea. It is a historical fact that only a small remnant of the two-tribed "House of Judah" (42,360 souls) returned to the land around Jerusalem from their captivity in Babylon. The overwhelming majority of the "House of Judah" stayed in Babylon, intermarried with the Babylonians, and then fled the Medo-Persian empire together with the Babylonians to Asia Minor (present-day Turkey), on their way to Rome.

(1) You were made alive when you were dead in transgressions and sins, (2) in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience; (3) among whom we also all once lived in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. (4) But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, (5) even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), (6) and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, (7) that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus; (8) for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, (9) not of works, that no one would boast. Psalms 100:2-5
(2) Serve Yahweh with gladness. Come before his presence with singing. (3) Know that Yahweh, he is God. It is he who has made us, and we are his. We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. (4) Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, and bless his name. (5) For Yahweh is good. His loving kindness endures forever, his faithfulness to all generations.

It's really a simple message once one filters out all of the religious traditions and superstitious nonsense, and reads what it actually says.

The penalty for continuing a life of crime/sin/transgressions, i.e. serving the human "self" (flesh) and its master Satan (the temporary prince of this world) is DEATH (Deut. 28:15-68; Ezek. 18:4; Rom. 6:23). The reward for turning from a life of crime/sin/serving the "self" (flesh) is eternal life, which is a free gift to anyone who is willing to truly be born again from above, take that step in faith (trust in God and in His Law/Commandments, Statutes and Judgments) and NEVER look back.

There are no human courts that would likely grant leniency to a repeat offender promising good behavior from that point forward, regardless of how sincere that criminal may be. But that's exactly what God has promised IF we genuinely turn back to Him. And the proof of our sincerity is found in our actions, which show our thankfulness and is the reason why we were created in the first place: to DO good (Godly) works (walking the walk, instead of just talking the talk).
