Just came across an interesting connection…

The Return of the Son of Man
(Matthew 24:26-31; Mark 13:24-27)

Luke
25And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth:

And…

“Astounding” ocean temperatures in 2023 supercharged “freak” weather around the world as the climate crisis continued to intensify, new data has revealed. The oceans absorb 90% of the heat trapped by the carbon emissions from the burning of fossil fuels, making it the clearest indicator of global heating.

Where in the Bible does it tell us that the disciples were "Jews" please (Matt. 10:5-6; Matt. 21:19-22)?

Where in the Bible does it tell us that the disciples were martyred (
Matt. 28:18-20)?

There is no disagreement that the disciples and the apostles willingly endured persecution in the name of Christ, the Saviour, and were willing to sacrifice their human lives for the cause as, for example, Stephen did (
Acts 7), but the list above makes patently false claims that are found nowhere in the Bible. In fact, Christ-Jesus prophesied that PETER DIED OF OLD AGE IN JERUSALEM, NOT CRUCIFIED ON AN INVERTED CROSS IN ROME, AS ROMAN CATHOLICISM FALSELY CLAIMS. Peter never went to Rome, nor was a pope there, nor did he die in Rome, nor is Peter's body buried there.

John 21:18-19
21:18 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst where thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry [thee] where thou wouldest not.
21:19 This spoke he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.

It's difficult to understand why any "Christian" would insist on spreading such obvious LIES, instead of simply sticking to the Truth, which absolutely is worth being persecuted over and losing one's human life over.

I'm confused-- are you saying Stephen was a martyr, or he was not a martyr? Or he was something else... not a proper apostle.

Apart from the rest of the post, though-- I just hit a brick wall on this particular. >.<

Stephen was obviously martyred. It says so in Scripture (in the chapter of Acts that was cited). It does NOT however say anywhere in Scripture that any of the disciples (the 11 who were with Jesus) were martyred or that Peter died on an inverted cross, etc. This is part of the fabricated history promoted by Roman Catholicism, which many of the protestant denominations have adopted without question.

So the graphic Red posted, which falsely refers to the disciples as "Jews" (and thus is calling Christ-Jesus a liar - Matt. 21:19-22), and falsely claims they were murdered, is literally filled with LIES, portraying a FALSE history.

Oh Stephen was definitely martyred-- that's why I asked for clarification. Thanks, Freeman

The disciples weren’t Jews? So where were they from?? Britain? Gibraltar? Not quite following the train of logic here?

In answer to your questions, would you be so kind as to show us where in the Bible it tells us that Jesus' disciples were "Jews", as well as where it tells us that any of them were martyred please?

Btw @A Freeman ….

Psalm 106:45 says, "For their sake He remembered His covenant, and relented according to the multitude of His mercies". This verse highlights God's faithfulness to his covenant and his compassion for his people, even when they have been unfaithful.

Elementary, my dear Freeman…

The drama of the Gospels takes place in Judea, and whenever someone who is not local is referenced, their original homeland is mentioned.

You still haven't answered any of the questions posed. And no, your approach of assuming everyone in Judea is descended from the "Jews" unless otherwise specified has no basis in Scripture either.

Again, would you be so kind as to show us where in the Bible it tells us that Jesus' disciples were "Jews", as well as where it tells us that any of them were martyred please?
