I think he may actually leave because he doesn't want the "SM brand" or Shinee to outshine him. SM doesn't really let its idols become superstars on their own. He probably, tested the waters with Guilty his last comeback post enlistment and that song became a viral hit and the album has sold exceptionally well. Its his highest selling album now and the fastest album by a Shinee soloist to get a platinum certification (also surpassing Jonghyun's Poet/Artist's lifetime sales). I think he feels confident now that he can survive as a soloist and doesn't have to rely on Shinee as a group that's why he is leaving kind of like kind of like how Justin Timberlake left Nsync after he became confident about his solo career.

I see. I remember he wanted to become a solo artist in 2017. He was trying to tell that story and Onew shut him down. I also wonder if ONEW leaving had something to do with the group lead singer position. Taemin wants to be a Solo KPOP super star. He is so greedy for that. You can feel it in his energy lol. Well, only time with tell. I think it is also interesting how the album did well but the streams aren't as high. Was it album buy back? Like some artists used to do to hype sales? Either way, congrats to them all.

Guilty's streaming numbers on Spotify are pretty good and I think better than Shinee's Hard. It entered Spotify's global viral 50 but Shinee's group release "Hard" couldn't enter that chart so I think that gave him confidence too. He is also now the most followed SM soloist on Spotify. He is literally leaving SM at the peak of his career. The sales are higher this time because his solo fandom has grown since 2017. Idols get good sales when they have strong and organized fandoms. This is why Baekhyun sells more than Kai, D.O, Xiumin etc. Some groups nowadays sell out concerts and give 1 million albums but don't even chart high on Spotify or melon because they have strong fandoms not GP support.

I hate SM I hope that company goes bankrupt soon. They are the reason Jonghyun is not with us anymore. They didn't protect him but had the audacity to use his name to sell Poet/Artist HIS magnum opus album. Good luck to Taemin, Exo CBX, D.O and all other SM artists who are leaving and hope they become even more successful and hope Kai and the rest Exo members leave SM soon too. SM deserves karma for all the evil things they did to their artists.

This guy and his 2 band members were blacklisted because they won a lawsuit against SM for company abuse and slave contracts. He couldn't perform his group's old songs anywhere, couldn't appear on Korean variety and Korean Music shows, couldn't win awards, do promo for his solo music for years. They did the same to Jessica Jung. They used to be really powerful when LSM was incharge and used their influence to destroy careers of idols who left SM. Now, Lee Soo Man is gone and all the talented idols are leaving one by one because SM cannot blacklist them anymore.

what’s interesting is that the kdrama has to do with time travel/time slips and comes exactly on a time number 8. i have spoken about this a lot. time-space dimensions multiverses or whatever you wanna call it all barriers will melt and come together

I don't know about numerology but this is so disrespectful to Jonghyun and his family. I really hate SM. If they were a good company they would have sued for using their artist's death for making a drama but I am pretty sure they are involved in this themselves.
