T@emin is leaving SM finally!!! 0new might leave SM too. So, $M really was having beef with T@emin like the rumors said in 2020-2023. I am happy he is leaving but feel disappointed by Key and Minho aren't. I always felt Key was the fakest member of Shinee and I was right. Shinee should have left SM right after Jonghyun's death. Regardless, I am happy that we are finally witnessing SM's downfall.
I hope before he leaves they don’t try to take him out.

I don’t know if it’s me, but those pictures give me the creeps. It looks very dark. I don’t want to see no one’s crusty toes. lol.
It’s giving me a dark vibe.

it’s giving me coven vibes. Similar to this movie The Craft. Lots mk symbolism too.

This is a bit surprising. Although now it will be interesting to see whether this happens or not.

I am glad too that we're witnessing the downfall of SM. But I would be more glad with SHINee's disbandment. I just hope and wish that day comes soon.

Meanwhile-

Ontae specially Taemin being the first to leave SM is indeed surprising but I kind of had a feeling this could happen. Taemin is ambitious and wants to do a world tour which he probably won't get if he stays with SM. 0new's hiatus since last year now seems suspicious.....I have been thinking lately what if SM's slave contracts were the reason for Jonghyun's unfortunate demise.

To be honest, I cannot believe that this is happening, so I am a bit unable to digest it, lol. Because I never expected to hear any news about SHINee's members leaving SM, especially after 2018. In particular, after Taemin's comeback and that too when he got nice promotions for his comeback the whole time and when SM let him to show his industry's experience in his MV freely. Therefore, the news of those two, especially Taemin leaving SM, surprised me a bit, lol.

But as far as Jonghyun's unfortunate demise is concerned, honestly I don't believe that the contract was the only issue behind what happened with him. I believe there was something even bigger than that, may be connected to his thriller novel as well. Which I'm sure will come out some day.

Although I don't believe that Jonghyun was a sacrifice for BT5 and Kpop, that's why I always avoid conversations related to it here and there. I do believe BTS is somehow involved in his case and they already knew what was going to happen with him, not just BTS but the entire industry knew what was going to happen with him. But still I don't believe he was a sacrifice for them.

Who are these people??
Are you guys & ppl in this thread from like Asia or something?
They are Key and Minho, members of the famous Kpop group SHINee and this Kpop thread was basically created to discuss about the unfortunate passing of a member of this group "Jonghyun". That's why this group is often discussed in this thread. Which has nothing to do with us being from "Asia".

Unpopular opinion: I don't think Taemin will leave SM ENTERTAINMENT. I think he was testing the waters. he is energetically demanding and he has t start over with new staff and everything. Plus does this new label have the budget to carter to his concert needs? Taemin likes to be the ne on top. Doesn't like being outshined so there is that as well. Hybe also just invested heavy into SM. And also EXO folks with their own labels will learn running a music business isn't easy. When Michael Jackson parted ways with SONY, his music popularity declined. But then again, I can be wrong. So let us see what happens at the end of this month.

Me too! I was shocked and didn't believe in it until Taemin himself confirmed yesterday on bbl. But, I just watched Guilty MV with subtitles and now it kind of makes sense...of course since he is not the lyricist for Guilty I could be wrong but that song and MV is pretty much showing how he now wants to break free/run away from SM. Taemin is ambitious and wants to be a superstar. SM doesn't allow its artists to have their own individual identity outside of being SM's idols. Everything has to be about the company and their legacy. Imo Taemin doesn't want his solo to be associated with the SM brand that's why he left. Onew, I don't have any idea about him. Maybe he just wants to retire now and shift to Yoga....
