ahhhh ok in other words its still a waste of money lmaoooooo can do without overdone wokey pokey entertsinment its practically for children these days nahhh we still have a lisence fee for our channels to pay for so thats more than enough as well as the regular apps and other apps that are free. also the sports are nightmare to access nowadays just aint worth it unless its on the radio or a free channel.
Same thing with the netflix thing, the only reason it would affect you is if you have premium which i didnt so i wasnt panicking

netflix has been going down the drain recently, theres only a few good shows here or there and thats about it most of the movies on there u probably have seen before. sigh we used to go the cinema a lot as kids or teens now the shitty junky entertainment is usually only available via subscriptions

I don't use any streaming devices. It's more expensive than cable. Besides, it's brainwashing everyone, especially the ones (Mostly people in their twenties) who grew up with Disney Channel. Nearly every sitcom is available there.

same i just been watching the odd show here or there but none of the newer ones sparked my interest enough to need netflix. ikr why do they keep doing badly done remakes that no ones gonns give that much of a shit about? like we used to watch hannah montanna as a kid bc it was apparopriate for that age range, but if u are late 20s or early 30s would u really actually genuinely care for anythinig they shovel out when u roughly know the storylines right off the bat. what about high school musical too? why cant they just kept the originals. now there is teen wolf movie, harry potter tv show... i just dont care in the slightest for that shit anymore. there is enough distractions in the world and theres too much shit going on in every other country nowadays it seems pointless to continue to osbess with fictional characters that arent even real to begin with. especially animated mice. i am tired of the delusions that the entertainment industries places on society as if every other thing they do is so new and unheard of? bruh half the newer stuffhas been done donkeys years ago. either get new ideas or call it quits as hollyweirds run out of ideas. i tried watching "new" scream movie turned out to be a load of junk exactly the same movie same characters all the way through with little to no variation. u know what u right it is sad asf the state that entertainment is like theres too much of it nowadays, too many on subscriptions
our sports has become less accessible too and tbqfh i tried getting into watching some sports but it is waste of money. football for instance used to be free on bbc since sky took over sports every single league is on different subscription be it viaplay, sky itself or general merch thats become costly of 100s of quids just to "own" something thats got a rich wankers name or face on it
you could suggest going to the cinema or going to the sport matches but thosr too are such a huge investment out of every day middle to lower class incomes, its disgusting that the rich ppl have reached such lowly levels of them needing so much fame or popularity or to trick people into worshipping the grounds they walk on give them praise or pity for every mundane thing they do and not to mention how they can evade the laws (*marcus rashford avoiding paying parking fines every time bc his status allowes him to park wherever tf he wants*).
then theres royals stealing peoples taxes for their overcompensated crown jewles that i also do not give a shit whos king or whos on the fucking throne. they should all be dethroned and shot in the heads.
even music has got so boring over recent years there just isnt w group worthy of investing into idrc whos doing or saying what either in the industries. where did all the good entertainment fckn go? down the drain. now its all agenda based on brainwashing the masses into contuuing to support mindless junky entertainment and celebs personal lives apparently count for more than someone trying to get w degree. even degrees have become worthless with the amount of people making millions off the internet.

For me, I watch Disney and other TV still, but Im very mindful when I watch it instead of mindfully consuming things. Like Amphibia had some MK ULtra imagery, and I recognized it while watching some episodes.

In the US, cable networks is becoming a wasteland. Popular channels such as TNT, MTV, and TBS only airs sitcom reruns or movies. They barely produce any original shows now. Kiddie networks such as Nick Jr and Disney Jr are still somewhat popular among middle class families.
It's still pricey. The cheapest cable is around $40 per month.
More people stopped paying for Netflix and Hulu since their prices have rise. It's becoming more common since the lockdown ended. I think people are switching over to SlingTV or Roku.

this reply is like a month late but since there isnt much else to reply too, i find also with movies so much is cgi i cannot connect with cgi characters, its far too unrealistic same with cartoons,
we still have netflix for the time being as there is the odd show we are watching like wednesday but that is it in terms of subscriptions, we tried paying for sky sports as me and my dad like watching football and it used to be free once upon at time on beebs but these days its all subscription based, we have to either listen to radio go to pub or pay a fortune for subscription based entertainment so why is it so expensive in society to actually enjoy something? literally think of any type of activity as an adult and you google prices for it and think its not worth the expense and its such an investment to make just for a teeny bit brief momentary enjoyment. rich people could go shoot themselves for all i care they done nothing of any value to society.
