He had to go into debt to purchase Twitter along with investments from Saudi oil Sheiks. Even billionaires have investors, many whom we don’t know about. His networth is largely based on a bubble known as Tesla stock. He also has Space X, but bulk of net worth comes from Tesla. They say Musk is worth $150 billion. Allegedly the richest guy on the planet. At least if you don't count those who prefer to remain out of the public sphere, like Rothschild.
What makes you think Musk is in debt? Because he's pandering to Israel, atm? Not everything is about money. I recall a picture of Musk with Maxwell for starters.
Musk is far from perfect, but he's 10x better than other platforms. Meta recently banned Quds news network. It reminds me when YouTube banned Press TV years ago. More recently was when the US banned Rt.
This is something that is far from common. News outlets, at least major ones don't get banned typically. I highly doubt Musk would ever do such a thing. He never did ban Rt even after the government asked him to. Musk has more control than what people give him credit for. Least he's the only one I know whose ever challenged the ADL.
I don't think he is in debt at all, just greedy. As they say, give a man a valley of gold, and he will want another to go with it.
The banks which loaned Elon Musk money to help buy Twitter expect to lose $2 billion on the debt, report says
Elon Musk's Twitter purchase was funded by $13 billion of loans from banks like Morgan Stanley. Now they're trying to sell the debt at a cut-price, per WSJ.

The reason he is not censoring X is because it will destroy his brand after all the fuss he made about free speech and removing censorship. He is a marketing genius, I will give him that.
