then when you add that along with lazy performers like blackpink members, i just wonder why they bother debuting these groups at all? i dont listen to any newer artists anymore just too much of it is about them whining about their exes, some breakup they once had 10 years ago or wanting a relationship and crying if they dont got one.
Most people even young teens are not only listening to the mainstream anymore anyways. Independent or smaller acts with better quality music are available thanks to the internet. That is why the mainstream artists greatly fake their numbers. I don’t think anyone comes as close in terms of streaming fraud as bt$$$$hit and some other kpop groups. But quality of talent is generally low. It is about who is willing to sell themselves the most. Many talented people are not willing to sell their souls for fame and money.

so many songs with such hollow empty lyrics that are barely performned by idols looking half dead mixed with robotic dancing

i still think pop music is mainstream enough that kids and tweens are obsessed with idols and celebs enough to get them trending every time they win an award

Any ounce of originality in that company is dead. Copy cats to the bone. They just steal the identity of other groups or pop acts. Also wearing MJ shoes and socks… They make YG look good.
K-pop has always copied from MJ. This is a compilation of B@a the so called "Queen of K-pop's best dance compilation and you can see the clear MJ and Janet Jackson influence in her style.
And then there is Rain the so called "King of Kpop" another MJ wannabe who built his entire career by copying MJ and stealing from black culture. In 2nd gen T@emin used to be compared to MJ and his pre-Move era work had strong MJ influence. Now, in this era Jkay and JM are the new MJ wannabes and looks like Hyb3 now wants to push N1Ki as an MJ wannabe as well. The difference now compared to the past is that the new MJ wannabes don't even have talent. Like, even if Bo@ and R@in copied from MJ they are way more talented than Jkay who looks like a clown doing his MJ impression and gets outdanced by his backup dancers in every SNTY performance.

Boa also copied Britney Spears in her style, infact she was like the Korean Britney Spears

why is every other thing in the world about putting on a facade?...

Yeah, when I left school in the 60's I hadn't got a job lined up, so my old man used to hammer on my bedroom door at the crack of dawn yelling "Go look for a job you idle bleeder, they're crying out for people at the Bostik glue factory; all the neighbours are talking about you and saying you're a workshy layabout!"
But I just thought "Oh stick it" and turned over and went back to sleep.
PS- My mother also used to bully me into getting a job, so to shut her and my old man up, i got on me bike and pedalled down to at least look at the place but when i seen it i thought "I ain't spending the rest of my life in there" and u-turned and pedalled back home.
Later my old man said "How did you get on?" and I replied "I couldn't find it", and he went bananas yelling "What do you mean 'you couldn't find it??? It's one of the biggest factories in Leicester!!!"...:)

Britney is way more charismatic in my opinion.
1998-2004 Britney was better than most idols (both male and females in K-pop). No female dancer in kpop is on her level and even among males only T@emin comes close to her level in live performing sometimes because Ka1 is too robotic in execution while JM's performances lack in energy. I was shocked to see how lacking Ka1's performances in his solo concert were early this year. Really, if you remove the camera, editing and props these idols will not look so good.

Although I can remember all the fantastic songs of the 60's and some 70's, I'm hard pushed to remember any songs that came after that right up to the present day because they're mostly bloody awful and totally unforgettable.:)

WARNING- Don't buy DVD's of modern "remastered" junk that messes with 60's stuff, it's tinny and squeaky and nothing like the classic originals, I can only assume TPTB are trying to destroy 60's stuff just like they try to destroy everything good.

I think this is because a lot of them like Ka1 and JM have trained in elite dance schools where they focus more on "technical" execution of dance moves but they don't have natural charisma. Ka1 is known for his stage presence but if you watch closely he keeps repeating the same facial expressions in different performances. Same can be said about a lot of other idols.

Yes Kai is a trained ballet dancer like Jimin..i remember that in one of the last Exo cameback , during an event, Kai didn't t remember the steps of one of their songs choreography , and Kyungsoo (that's he's not even the main dancers ) have to taught him the steps , i find it weird since he's one
of the main dancers

earlier generations seemed so much more lively and friendly, every other modern generation nowadays has become self absorbed and obnoxious attention seeky mf cunts who only want something for their own benefit. honestly i dont think the 90s were better imho it was the forefront for all the generic modernised digitialised bullshit that we now have to deal with for the rest of our pointless existence
