I recall that many years ago, the purposeful spreading of "their" disease (or purposely becoming infected) was considered a sort of "badge of honor"...this was in the late 1990s. Whether or not that is still the case, I would not know.
Yeah, i remember reading about that, as of 2006 or so.
They called it "bugchasers", and would get a tattoo of a biohazard symbol. I even came across forum of men looking for someone to infect them.
I was strangely fascinated by the depravity of it. It's like a long drawn out suicide.
But i did see a difference between purposely trying to get infected and giving it to people without their consent.
(And these are my views from long before i was a Christian... if anything this is a testament to the transformative power of God)
