Nah, bro, look. Don't even bother with these people, just don't.
I had to put him on ignore, and I wanted to put him on ignore way earlier because he has been rude to others here as well. You cannot win against these people. They need to spread negativity, they need to insult and be rude to others. That's how it goes with them. That's how they feed their souls, by insulting others, feeling "superior" and all. As I was saying, the only thing you can do is wish them well and ignore them.

He has no idea what a man should look like anyway. The first man had a beard, and every messenger had a beard, yet this guy goes around and tells men to trim their beards, how they're ugly-looking etc. It's just a guy who has many issues and might be mentally disturbed, no idea. xd
All they can do is bark anyway.
I've met people like him in real life, too, all bark, no action. Just leave them be. We shouldn't allow ourselves to fall into their trap and behave like them, bro. :D

Maybe a week ago Beem, out of nowhere felt the need to troll nearly every post i made.

I made a few replies and realized my time was better spent watching paint dry so i put beem on ignore and never looked back.

Some people only know how to spread hate and life is too short.

Theft in the US is becoming more common then water.

These days shoplifters work in groups.

What does Islam think about thieves?

As for the thief, the male and the female, amputate their hands in recompense for what they committed (5:38 Quran)

(For the Islamaphobes, the very next verse)
But whoever repents after his wrongdoing and reforms, indeed, Allah will turn to him in forgiveness. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful
(5:39 Quran)

I'm sure many westerners will think this punishment is strict, but i have already shown earlier in this thread that a good 80% of people who engage in crime are repeat offenders.

I've had stuff stolen from me. If you have too then you know how it feels. It is enraging to work hard for something only to have some thief come and take it while you sleep.

Had shariah been in effect odds are very good you would still have your possessions.

We can talk about how strict Islam is when you have to drive 6 hours to get a loaf of bread due to all the local stores closing because of the mass looting that is taking place as i speak.

I understand people shouldn't steal, it's horrible!
But for their hands to be completely amputated? Isn't that a bit harsh? I'm sure there are better ways to deal with these things. Plus, salvation is free, so redemption is on the table. I find using harsh ways to discipline people is not merciful.

Thanks for your input. A few things to note.

Muslims believe the Quran to be the verbatim word of God and he knows best in all matters. This is what shariah law is, enforcing what God has sent down. If you took a close look at the old testament, you'd see alot in common between Jesus's alleged old law and shariah.

There is an old saying, spare the rod and spoil the child. So at a minimum a slap on the hand is required. Especially when statistics show us its the same kid putting his hand in the cookie jar.

In actuality theft in Muslim lands is practically unheard of due to the punishment being so strict. In and of itself makes for a very good deterrent.

As i mentioned above, when it becomes difficult for you to put food on the table due to the markets leaving, perhaps you will see the wisdom in shariah.

@Daze The thing is with the Old Testament, things were too harsh to begin with, that's why God sent down His son to help people be forgiven, and to have more mercy without all the crazy harsh punishment. Sure, people should be disciplined for doing things they shouldn't, but for reasons where they learn from their mistakes. If the punishments are too cruel, it doesn't leave room for people to learn from those mistakes.
And, you're welcome for the input

They might be hard for modern man to consider.. but does God change? Does mankind change?

Evil is far more prevalent today but why is that? Did man have no desire to steal and fornicate 2000 years ago? We know mankind has always been greedy from the stories of Jesus over turning the tables of the money lenders out of anger. Yet today usury (interest) is global.

Why does evil permeate our western societies?

Sadly western Christianity has been liberalized and taught to discard their "old" teachings. This is why LGTV is very prominent in western churches even though the Bible calls it an abomination.

What does Jesus mean when he says he came not to throw away the old laws but to enforce them? (Matthew 5:17)

In the end God knows best. May he show us the truth and help us to accept it. Even if it be against ourselves.

Something we can agree on, even if I don't really agree with the rest of the message.
I just don't condone unjust punishment.
Is it unjust if it comes from God himself? I'm happy to share shariah from the Bible.

“’If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress are to be put to death.
(Leviticus 20:10)

What will you do it Jesus returns tomorrow and says "stone the adulterer"?

Does God change?

That's correct. I mean, if they're holding hands in a way that seems or looks intimate and expresses affection and sexual intimacy, then it is not permissible. Sorry, should've expressed myself better.
no public affection means no romance. the idea of romance with a man and a woman kissing next to the brooklyn bridge or at new years eve in times square or a couple greeting one another after a long period apart in an airport with a deep embrace... these are some of the highlights of being a human being.
being unable to express ones emotions in public? i dont want to live like that.

That's okay, but you make it sound as if the West has no problems. Lots of filth and other disgusting things are coming from the West. That's a well-known fact. Maybe you said that because you got used to the Western culture and all. That'd be understandable.
oh, the west is FULL of problems. its ground zero for degeneracy. we surely can agree on that. still, i will take my freedom, warts and all.
at some point, the filth will consume itself. its simply not sustainable in the long term. they are on their own course of reaching enlightenment and understanding-- i have no business interfering with them unless they interfere with mine. making a state law against any form of degeneracy misses the entire point of self-realization in those individuals.

Imagine a goy who wants to be like the Jews.
Well, color me surprised. I was certain you put me back on ignore just like on the old boards.

So how is my favorite Christian, not a Christian gnostic doing these days?

Still hating on Muslims no doubt as the devil only has one enemy? This thread has already been derailed to hell and back with over 100 posts and maybe 4 or 5 that are actually on topic but why shouldn't you chime in too?

Am i right or am i right?

Why would i want to be like the Jews? Because you hate them and want to lump everyone together? Wasn't Jesus a Jew?

I was sent only for the people of Israel (Matt 15:24)

Cue the denial

I find this funny. I think you're arrogant, which i am guilty of myself sometimes. But i don't think you are trash. I don't think anyone here is really.

We are all sons of Adam, are we not? Sadly division is all people know as the world continues its decent into darkness.

Everytime I come back to the forum, I get attacked by a demon.
Well, lets step back and look at the big picture Arty, are you offering actual content in this thread or just attacking others?

Color me surprised if i don't find this to be a compliment.

As they say Art, you get what you give.

"Imagine a goy who wants to be like the Jews."

This means more than you think it does.

Here, a little story I wrote:

The Green Light

Little Jacob and Peter are neighbours. They always walk back home together from school and have to cross a road to get there.

One day, when they arrive at the traffic lights, Peter crosses the road even though the traffic light signals red for pedestrians.

Jacob shouts: "Peter, what are you doing?! It's red!"

Peter waves Jacob along as he hops across in a playful manner: "Come on! There's no car in sight!"

When the pedestrian light turns green, Jacob crosses the street, visibly shocked by Peter's display of civil disobedience.

Some days later, Jacob and Peter arrive at the traffic lights again. This time, Peter is not moving, even though the light is green.

Jacob, however, is already halfway across the street when Peter yells out: "Jacob, watch out!!" ... as Jacob is mowed down by a
car whose driver, for unknown reasons, failed to stop his vehicle.

Little Jacob followed the law to the letter, not realising his blind obedience to the letter of the law, which was made to help him navigate through life, was going to lead to his end.

A traumatized Peter cries in the bosom of his parents: "I tried to warn him ...", he sniffs, Why ... ? Why didn't he see the car?", he asks full of despair, burying his face in his father's chest.

Peter's father hushes comfortingly, and says: "Shh, Petey. It's not your fault.", as he holds Peter in an embrace, rubbing the back of his head.
"Jacob probably did see the car."

Peter looks up in wonder, wiping tears from his eyes. His father looks down and adds: "He probably thought he was safe when the light was green."
