In regardance To “Lit”, Lay said a lot of people said a lot of bad things about him (lots of rumors going around about him) so he’s like a lotus that grows from the mud that transformed into pure beauty, according to him. Do you think that’s really what he says it is?
He said people were trying to take him down with their nasty rumors about him and he now has the “power”. When I watched the video the first time, it was too intense so I stopped. But later on, I went back and finished it and watched it several times. I really don’t know what he meant by the lyrics: “Take, take, take. No one beat me down….I have the power and you know it.”
So I’m not sure if he meant he had the money to sue people who started nasty rumors about him and that he’ll win. He really did sue a couple of people who started false rumors about him. Someone got his ID info that falsify his record that he is willingly offering his organs to donors, but that was false. Someone else threatened his family about something that I don’t recall. Then another started another rumor about something else. He sued them.
It really sounded like Lay had been through ALOT: from SM entertainment to now.
I have no idea about “Veil”, but he works hard on his dancing skills. He’s a completely different person when he dances in contrast to his social skills, which is alil childish/shy. So this probably what you meant by changing persona. I just couldn’t put a finger to his personality when I saw him went from innocent, childish, cute, to a grown up man dancing Krump (krump is a type of dance) and becoming bold.
Just like his Sprite video, he was asking the lil boy with the mask (which represents himself) why he does boxing. Lay does boxing in real life. So boxing makes him a bolder person instead of a timid person.
What did you meant by “duality”?
With “Sheep”, I rewatched and did notice Lay was wearing red, and the other dancers were black and white. Then they alternate: him wearing black and the dancers were all red.
What kind of sacrifice are you referring to?
Did you watch the “Honey” video? Was it too westernized?
