If Thomas had been guilty of blasphemy Jesus would have corrected Thomas. Therefore Jesus is Lord and God of the Old Testament as well as the New Testament.

Many false teachers over the centuries have tried to make Jesus only a demigod or an angel because their human mind could not understand it. Arius was one of the early ones.

Arius denied the deity of the Son of God, holding that Jesus was created by God as the first act of creation and that the nature of Christ was anomoios (“unlike”) that of God the Father. Arianism, then, is the view that Jesus is a finite created being with some divine attributes, but He is not eternal and not divine in and of Himself.

https://www.gotquestions.org/arianism.html

Jehovah's Witnesses claim Jesus is really the angel Michael [Jahtruth is in agreement with JWs on this matter].

Jesus is not Michael the archangel. The Bible nowhere identifies Jesus as Michael (or any other angel, for that matter). Hebrews 1:5-8 draws a clear distinction between Jesus and the angels: “For to which of the angels did God ever say, ‘You are my Son; today I have become your Father’? Or again, ‘I will be His Father, and He will be my Son’? And again, when God brings His firstborn into the world, He says, ‘Let all God’s angels worship Him.’

John 6:46
No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father.

Exodus 3:6
And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God.

Exodus 33:11
So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend.

Deuteronomy 34:10
But since there has not arisen in Israel a prophet like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face.

Those who call the God of the Old Testament evil are calling Jesus evil.
Hebrews 5
13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness.
14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

Those who let their discernment between good and evil be guided by what they've been told is good and evil instead of what they know is good and evil, is spiritually still a child.

Matthew 18:1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

There is sometimes confusion about what "become as little children" means today. Too often we make the error of thinking LIKE a child really means childISH.

Childlike asks how we can work on God’s behalf
Childish asks God to work on our behalf
Childlike fills our prayers with asking what we can do for God
Childish fills our prayers with telling God what He can do for us
Childlike leads to service
Childish leads to selfishness
Childlike leads to sacrifice
Childish leads to greed
Childlike leads to faith and trust in God
Childish leads to doubt and fear
Childlike leads to a desire to know God more
Childish leads to superficial knowledge of God
Childlike faith leads to complete obedience of God’s will
Childish faith leads to the Health, Wealth and Prosperity Gospel

The child metaphore in Matthew and many other chapters refers to the need of adopting the new law of Christ, thus leaving the old law behind;
and the rebirth of one who has adopted the new law (became like a child).

But that's not the meaning of the infant metaphore in Hebrews 5. There's no confusion there.

Most people in western countries still recognise 3:16.

The following verses are not at all familiar to people who have not read the bible.

No condemnation for those who believe in Jesus therefore means condemnation for those who do NOT believe in Jesus.

Q:How does a Christian learn the difference between good and evil, in all types of settings and situations?
A: study the Book of Proverbs.

To be born again means spiritually born again.

That's what I said. What is spiritual rebirth (accepting the new law / follow Christ) if the subject wasn't spiritually dead (under the old law)?

Ye shall know them by their fruit.
Yes, you are right there. However the good fruit that God recognises comes AFTER faith in Jesus Christ.

Those who are not children of God will not have their deeds seen as righteous if they do not believe in Jesus, no matter how good their deeds appear to other people.

Addressing above my entry:
There is a sad story of an alleged Christian evangelist named Ravi Zacharias. Many videos would be available on Youtube.
He was seen as a wonderful evangelist for seekers. His strength was addressing agnostics and philosophical reasonings. He was a lecturer and did a massive amount of evangelising and lectures. He wrote many books as well.
He was admired by thinking Christians and spoken highly of by Reformed Theologians.
Where it comes to good deeds, Zacharias would have outdone the vast majority of Christians could dream of doing in their life.
However towards the end of his life murmurings about the double life he was leading were leaking out here and there. Soon after his death Zacharias was exposed finally.

Only God knows if he was a terribly sinful Christian in private, or if he was in fact a false convert and knew how to talk the Christian talk so incredibly well he even deceived himself into believing he was saved. There are a lot of commentators who believe the latter though.

Who told you, you needed to be saved? From what? No other religion, philosophy, or way of thinking has such a requirement. Your books may say that. Your minister and priest tell you that. Life is a School. You need to graduate, not be saved from it.

Interesting - from what I know of his fall, it doesn’t seem very different to King David’s. The temptation was common (as Ravi illustrated), the offence was bad, the cover up was worse and it led him to organise a deliberate execution of Bathsheba’s husband. I’m glad I don’t get to judge anyone!!!

It would be wonderful if Zacharias repented like King David did when he was confronted by the prophet Nathan about his adultery with Bathsheba. Whole story 2 Samuel 11-12.
However I remember that there were accounts of several staff questioning in him in private (e.g. about his travelling away from home SO much and always without his wife). They got the guilt trip treatment and cold shoulder behaviour in response. That is not a good sign.

P.S. I am only very familiar with this story because a lot of Christian apologists were so disappointed and shocked by the extent and seriousness of his sins. I only watched one of his apologist lectures a long time ago, philosophy wasn't of much interest to me personally.

I was wondering if Ravi committed the “sin unto death” on account of his refusal to admit his guilt, similar to Annanias and Sapphira?

That is a great question.

Apparently there is no clear answer to what the sin mentioned above is.

The following article suggests apostasy or blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

Good quote:
So what is the sin leading to death? Yarbrough puts it well: it "is to have a heart unchanged by God's love in Christ and so to persist in convictions and acts and commitments like those John and his readers know to exist among ostensibly Christian people of their acquaintance, some of whom have now left those whom John addresses" (p. 311).

The outwardly righteous Zacharias sounds like he fitted that profile. However we will never know in this life whether Zacharias was unsaved when he drew his last breath because we are not God.
