You know it's scripted when there wasn't even any "joke" for Jada to be upset, the routine host comments where safe and light hearted, he didn't compare her to a bald gremlin, instead it was an empowerment female symbol from the Hit film GI Jane, (Queen Demi More) so all the eye rolls and disgust facial expressions Smith cunt made were def scripted, this woman has a table show where she talks to her daughter about same sex bs and having an affair and calling it just an "entanglement" so she's not as retarded as she attempted to appear that moment. Also, Chris Rock have been vocal about Hollywood using men to push awful depravity agendas, forcing black folks to wear female dresses and such, Chris Rock exposed other things from the Elite bad side, he was framed or offered a redemption opportunity perhaps, it seems Chris Rock step up where the stage line and spotlight is & put both feets in front with a steady face So it smells like this was scripted all the way... the 24/7 coverage RN is propaganda and indoctrination tho, it's dangerous portrayals of these loving characters in a High Standards Ceremony, they're all modeling a high class event, and the fact that instead it turned into a humiliation irrational fist fest speaks volumes to some massive part of the population that believes anything, again programming pushing the blurring of lines further between the real and acceptable with violent assaults for no reason.

The way Smith was emphasizing/repeating the "f$%k" in his hollers after he sat down was a dead giveaway as well...

The result of a very insecure man to prove himself in the presence of his high-maintenance toxic wife.
Yup. That was my take away, as well. Time may prove me wrong, but for now I'm going with the Academy and CR not being in on any pre-planned event. There is no logical reason I can think of for why an A list actor would purposely sabotage his career with a planned stunt like that. His acceptance speech to me sounded like he realized he made a HUGE mistake on an international scale, and then made a desperate attempt to explain, justify and reverse course. I think the tears were real, but rather than being tears of sorrow at hurting others, I think they were for himself as the gravity of what he had just done to his career and reputation hit him. And he pretty much overshadowed and trashed his own Oscar win, so good job with that.

I hate the Oscars* but I actually felt so sorry for CR. The things that disgusted me most was WS's unbelievable ego, entitlement and pompousness, and the crowd giving WS a standing ovation shortly after he had just assaulted and completely degraded another person.

* I didn't watch the Oscars but saw the reports come in from other news sources, apparently like most other people. I seriously hope this puts the nail in the coffin of that insipid show.

I hear ya. Every single year for decades the hosts make jokes like this, and everyone is fair game. The attendes know that going in, so if someone can't handle that aspect, they really should not be there. Ricky Gervais' 2020 Golden Globes monologue was brutal and amazing because he revealed a lot of ugly truths.

My thoughts: The joke CR made was extremely mild considering JPS has very publicly run her mouth about every sordid detail of her personal life. She also claimed a week before that she loved her shaved head and didn't care what others think. JPS taking offense was her choice and her problem, and WS could have behaved like an actual adult man.

As you said earlier - toxic!
