I remember you saying this, which was actually one of the reasons I have been struggling with the subject of masks. Airborne has always meant n95 mask, which made me question wearing a mask at all if it is not a droplet. I don't want to say it isn't possible, but n95 masks have always been disposable, which means there is no way to expect to mask a population appropriately.
I was even looking up some diy n95 masks. People have gotten creative and are using ac filters to make layered masks at home, so it is good to see some evidence that it won't need to be this complicated. In my mind, I know it is all relative to droplet size circulating in the air, but it is still foreign for me to consider a surgical mask for something we are calling airborne.
It will be interesting to see how the next two weeks play out. I know a lot of places are now requiring masks, but I haven't paid a whole lot of attention to it in relation to numbers either.
