I understand you cannot go all the pages back to this thread, it would take ages, some of those things have been detailed, I will sum it up - I know of Taehyung, Jungkook and Yoongi going to a “special” idols school but given the fact that since 2011 most of them have been out doing fan meetings, workshops, etc and since 2013 mostly outside Seoul and Korea, shooting videos, editorials, etc, it would have been physically impossible for any of them to attend any school. AND do hours of homework after.
I assume that this “special” “idols” school has an agreement with companies to let them do whatever they want in return for the teachers teaching them how to speak and give them some basic knowledge.
Even so, in one of their lives, Jungkook mentioned that he didn’t finished school. Even though he “graduated”. Over his graduation video a lot of talks have emerged, it is rumored that Taehyung kissed him in the car while Jimin was filming and only pointed the camera at both of them after you clearly hear the sound of a kiss. Lips or cheeks who knows, but is audible.
Both Jungkook and Taehyung have a limited vocabulary and behavior. They seem like two people who didn’t really went to school beyond 9th grade or so. Jungkook has issue forming a sentence, let along having a conversation.
They do playback all day long except the rappers. Their mics are lower than the playback track so they sing along. But in the end you hear the track more than their voice. Especially when they sing more than just two notes.
Taehyung never sang his solo live.
You mentioned Harry Potter - J.K. Rolling has been adored by the gays for her “queer” portrayal of the Harry Potter characters so it wouldn’t surprise me if she had deeper knowledge of that world. But she got the “cancel” treatment after supporting a researcher who got fired from her job and lost the lawsuit against the company for saying- there's no such thing as a transgender person.
And we are talking about a lab researcher being fired for...stating the ...obvious?!?
The Juul/s Taehyung used were sold out after pictures of him smoking it, I’ve seen so many Instagram, twitters and YouTube postings by young people starting drinking to be like Jungkook or Jimin or Taehyung.
We see it with the US prison system and labels taking rappers under contract promoting violence, drugs, robbery, gun shooting, so that young people emulate them into becoming criminals in order for them to get more inmates in prisons leading to more money for the private prison companies where some of the big labels own shares.
There was a documentary on YouTube about it.
I don’t have the statistic over and if young people started smoking weed because Taehyung said Legalize It. But those people are copying and buying everything their “idols” do, wear, drink, eat.
I can’t blame the members or Taehyung for the stupidity of other people.
On the other side when the label decides to dress and send this message out, they know exactly how it will influence the youth.
Nowadays young emo girls want to “suffer” like Billie Eilish and have “mental issues” like BTS. Drink and smoke because they are going through “hardships”.
Always the same agenda.
I am going to leave it here as a thought - EVERYONE in the music industry who has been abused, or under a bad contract and didn’t got back what they wanted, got out. ALL of them. All of them have spoken out about it, left the label, the manager, the company, the ties with whom ever they didn’t wanted to be associated with.
The most famous cases being Tina Turner, Michael Jackson, Prince, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera.
There is a lot of documentation I’ve went over regarding all of them and a few others.
None of the BTS members are doing what they are doing because they’re forced, or soooo much “mind-controlled” (they wouldn’t have lasted that long if this would have been the case), which is why my opinion was - BTS get what they want, Bang Si-Hyuk and the rest get what they want.
Otherwise they wouldn’t have signed for 9 more years, due to Corona obviously 10 years at least, if they would have had such a “hard time”.
They just want to have fun jumping on an air castle in front of children idolizing them with no one to criticize their bad singing or dancing.
