What do yall think of VC's new article? Apparently they're trying to promote the lockdown as a way of life, we're getting closer to a orwellian system.

And, to prove that “it is not so bad”, the usage of video conferencing is constantly promoted for everything. In the sad world that is presented in Together At Home, all aspects of life – including arts, family, business and education – can be fulfilled through video conferencing. In their new world, human connections depend on an internet connection. Maybe they want all human communications to be recorded … and monitored.
I haven’t read it yet but it’s being rolled out and scaremongering is being used to push people to stay home and embrace the new 5G world that’s coming.

What’s sad are so many people are buying into the hype

Whatever your thoughts on this is , it isn’t going away soon.
The mail is starting to have less articles about covid and going back to regular news articles...so it might be going away. If the dems win the whites house, it will go away of they don’t...life could be hell for a while...while they curse us all with covid for voting trump.

Edit: fixed typo

My work already rolling out guidelines on going back to work in office. They wouldn’t do this if they felt risk was too high

I wonder what people who think it’s a democratic hoax that will just disappear if trump wins the election actually believe is going on.. are masked vigilantes roaming the country and shooting random numbers of people in the head under guise of corona virus? Do none of the victims actually exist at all? Has some sort of nerve gas been covertly deployed in discreet locations to make people have symptoms of a disease that doesn’t exist?

How does this theory work exactly?

You have misplaced faith in your employers regard for your well being. Every boss will side with his pockets over your safety.
The boss doesn’t want to be sued by his employees either..so he also has to think about employee safety..the boss walks a tightrope sometimes.

Dishonesty and lies helped a lot to provoke panic and cooperation in people to the effect that they’d close their businesses and people would be unemployed. All for the sick reason of trying to ruin trump.

Lawsuits cost money. Most employees do not make enough to mount a legal battle. Bosses know this. Agencies like OSHA are limited on scope and still designed to give the edge to the employer.
Depends on how hazardous the safety situation is.
Like where I work, we use vacs(electricty) water, cleaning chemicals and oils that sometimes makes the area slick to walk on. But to think vacuums(electricity) and hoses(water) + vaccum cords and hoses - possible feet tangle, trip etc.

But how does the employer make money without his employees?

President Donald Trump said during a press briefing Monday evening that his administration is aiming to shield corporations from legal responsibility for workers who contract the novel coronavirus on the job, a move that the Chamber of Commerce and right-wing advocacy groups are aggressively lobbying for as the White House pushes to reopen the U.S. economy against the warnings of public health experts.

I think the pre existing conditions didn’t help...but really if they are gonna say that people died of the virus because they had that when they died...when maybe they actual cause of death was something else..that would be considered dishonest.

Ok @Lisa lol man get a grip. Care to adress this? If they are so confident why take this measure? What are they hiding?
Woman, I’m a woman, colonel.

I don’t think they are trying to hide anything but maybe businesses would be scared to open of their employees could sue them if they got sick. People aren’t always honest or truthful ya know.
