First, no I wasnt coming to anyone's rescue and this has nothing to do with anyone else. . I literally had not read through the latest pages this morning when I posted. I posted because it's 3 weeks after you made the 'NYC may not exist' comment, and you specifically said 'get back to me...'.

Second, you are assuming I don't have a job.

Third, what does 15,000 deaths have to do with Cuomo admitting his mistake in how he handled things, which is what our initial discussion was about? Uh, nothing. It's just once again your way of shutting down someone else when you don't have an answer.
Is NYC reopened yet? Is there a date for when it will be?

And no, 3 weeks would be Friday.

When they restart the economy I hope the two of you are on the frontlines getting an actual job.
She could have a full time job, a family and be working on her masters and still find the time to be here...don’t ya think?

That sounds like an extreme manipulalation of facts to me.
this is the article cited by Newsweek that I translated with google translate.

The Chilean Minister of Health, Jaime Mañalich, has surprised everyone with his particular way of accounting for those killed by Covid-19. “We have 898 patients who are no longer contagious, who are not a source of contagion for others and we include them as recovered. These are the people who have completed 14 days of diagnosis or who unfortunately have passed away, ”Mañalich explained at a press conference.

In other words, for the Chilean Government, all those who died from coronavirus are counted as people who have recovered from the virus. A way of accounting that they assure that they have adopted on the recommendation of "international experts" but that, without a doubt, will give much to talk about.

Since the first case was detected in the South American country on March 3, 2,059 patients have already recovered and 80 people have died. Chile, where the peak of infections is expected to occur between the end of April and the beginning of May, is under the state of exception due to a catastrophe, with a curfew from 22.00, with classes suspended until May and with the borders and shops that are not basic necessities closed.

The Chilean government has ruled out decreeing the mandatory quarantine throughout the country, as neighbors with fewer cases such as Argentina, Colombia and Peru have done, and is leaning towards a "selective quarantine", which means that it is confining or releasing different cities and neighborhoods based on how the number of infections per square kilometer evolves, among other reasons.

To date, quarantine has been maintained in six communes of Santiago, in addition to other areas of the country such as Chillán, Osorno, San Pedro de la Paz or Temuco, measures that affect almost two million people out of a total population”

doesnt sound manipulated to me. In fact, I find it rather believable that some countries would want to conceal how this is affecting them to a certain extent. It is not an easy position to be in for a leader trying to navigate how something like this would affect the economy and the health of the people living in the community. I’m guessing that a large number of deaths doesn’t really lead to high approval ratings as a politician of whatever kind of government you are running either.

Doesn‘t the virus know we are all human? But, it likes the black ones better? Or is that the politicians need to keep black and white Americans separated...even in a pandemic?

It's taking us out': Oprah Winfrey warns coronavirus is 'ravaging' the black community and reveals concern for her own health after battling pneumonia six months ago

The initial discussion was about Cuomo admitting his mistakes and how he would have done thing differently. Feel free to review all posts and responses starting HERE.
If he thought he made such a mistake then why hasn’t he walked it back yet? Or made announcements about when he will start doing so?

That was never his initial statement when it was taken in context with the rest of the statements he made directly prior and following

California mom feels 'violated' after discovering her photo being used in an advert for face masks on Facebook that claimed her family had DIED of coronavirus
  • Sara Ancich was contacted by distressed friends who saw an ad on Facebook stating which claimed that she and other family members had died of COVID-19
  • The ad, created by the face mask company FilterMax, used a photo of the Ancich family and stated that they had become infected during a church service
  • Ancich asked Facebook to remove the ad, saying it left her feeling 'violated'
  • Facebook has now banned all ads relating to face masks, sanitizers and COVID-19 tests to stop the exploitation of vulnerable users amid the pandemic

”Quarantine is only supposed to be for sick people not mandatory for healthy law abiding people,” Shea wrote on Facebook. “Otherwise constitutionally and legally that starts creeping into martial law territory.”

Where would this money come from..I wonder? And is this the way the dems look like they are doing all they can through the pandemic? Rather than open the country back up? Does $2000 a month come close to lost wages, lost jobs, lost businesses? Open America back up to business again...that’s the better solution.

That didn’t seem strange to you to?
What seems strange to me is how you’re so blind as to how your animosity toward Jess (and others) damages any Christian witness you might have on this board. Are you here to add salt and light, or to play gotcha with Jess? What purpose are you serving by throwing old posts in her face for no apparent reason other than to make her look inconsistent?

Are you so unable to grasp the idea that money might be tight for Jess and her family, but that she is also moved to give to others at the same time, even if it means less for her? I would think that’s a concept that a Christian would understand right away. But nope, for you, it’s an opportunity to call Jess out for being a liar. Well done. Great witness for Christ.

I’m not making her look inconsistent...she does that on her own. There are a lot of red flags for me that she says things that contradict other things she’s said..so I say something about it because it is inconsistent and doesn’t make sense.

What is salt btw?

Why do you think it damages my Christian witness?

On contentions

As Christians, we interact with one another but will give an account to our Lord. It does none of us any harm to take on board the kind of conduct and interactions Jesus would expect from his disciples.

Seriously, what was wrong with me bringing up her inconsistent stories? Is that unchristian?

Who cares? Calling her out on it, even if you’re right, makes you look petty.

You are supposed to be.

Matthew 5:13 (KJV)
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Mark 9:50 (KJV)
Salt [is] good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

Why do you think it damages my Christian witness?
Colossians 4:6 (KJV)
Let your speech [be] alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Proverbs 15:7 (KJV)
The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish [doeth] not so.

Doesn’t the church require tithing of 10% from everyone no matter how broke? I really can’t believe my finances - which literally no one here is privy to - are still being discussed.

Would you have me let you examine my bank statements?

I guess I care about what she’s saying...and how its inconsistent.

Again, what does salt mean to you? Don‘t quote me the verses...what do you think to be salty means? I think here is where we may have a difference of opinion?
