Do you think you know the Bible better than the devil does? An unsaved person who studies the Bible diligently can turn an ignorant believer inside out.
I think the Holy Spirit knows the Bible better than I do and I think He can bring scriptures to my mind.

I think they can sow confusion as they only know part truth.

When an unsaved person stands before the Lord, do you think it's going to come down to whether or not they have a tattoo?
That’s not gonna help.

I understood. Beliefs evolve. When I came here I still called myself a Christian, believed myself a Christian. That was my take on it. Still is. Just don’t know how I classify Jesus. Don’t worry though, I won’t be reclaiming the label and giving anyone a heart attack.
Jesus Christ is a radical guy, even to some Christians, it seems. Please make sure you understand my post, though. Loving God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength means accepting that Jesus Christ died for your sins. It's impossible to follow Christ's Law without following Christ.

No, I get that..I just don’t think tattoos are in the same category. You’re defacing what God created.
There you go again, interpreting scripture with “I don’t think”, instead of with the Bible. You don’t think that the Law of Christ has any effect on the Old Testament laws that you think should be carried forward? Is that right?

No wonder people get confused by this issue.

Idk why everyone is talking about religion, but I used to smoke every day, every hour, and had to stop because of anxiety.

It was hard to get used to life without it, but I can handle life alright now and it's been a good feeling. I feel more sturdy, my head isn't in the clouds.

Anyways, I took a hit of a coworker's oil pen today and regretted it once the social anxiety hit. I'm always amazed at how weed can turn me so self conscious when I otherwise am so confident and unworried about people not liking me. My coworkers love me, but when I'm high, I feel like they're bothered by me.

Love the concept of weed though, it helps me stretch better and clean my room.

Edibles are the way to go if you get too much anxiety from smoking it.

If edibles were legal where I live, it's all I would buy. Because my main complaints about marijuana are the anxiety aspect, and smoking it makes my eyes look puffier. Plus one of my eyelids gets more droopy than the other, so I just look awful.

Edibles are too strong. I had to lock myself in a bedroom the only time I tried them because I was way too high.

I think it just depends on the strand. Making it legal helps a lot cuz u know what your getting and can request a strain that won’t make you anxious or whatever

There are some really strong edibles. But I think it comes down to a question of tolerance. If you have been a constant smoker for 20 years or something, you should be able to handle the strong edibles. You are going to know you are smashed out though.

I wasn't talking about the smash you out edibles. Find like a candy bar that's like 5-10mg or something. That should make you feel mellow for a while and not smash you out.

Those give me anxiety too, because I don't know when they'll kick in and when they'll die down.

At least with a bad smoke hit, I know it won't last more than an hour or two.

But edibles kick in after some time, and its hard to gauge how much with affect the body and when.

I think the best hits I've had are with bubblers and bongs. Something about the water diluting the smoke makes it less intense for me.

That's what makes them fun.

I think the key is to find the minimum dosage to get a buzz. And then never go over that. In theory that should mitigate most of the anxiety effects.

It is what I think..I don’t have a biblical authority to back me up in this. I don’t personally believe that God wants people to deface their bodies , a body He created..to me it seems like to tattoo your body says you don’t think He did a good enough job making it.

And ya, I don’t think this should be carried forward. If you think about it..should a person deface things that God created? Its your body, granted and we have freedom in Jesus..but do we have the freedom to do anything we want...really? And does this equal to wearing the wrong clothes, or eating pork..which we know doesn’t count against us if we do. I don’t think so because those things aren’t permanent like a tattoo is.

Then there’s the thing that the world thinks its so great that most people now get tattoos, especially the younger generations...its becoming so popular that you are in the minority if you don’t have just one. And when I was growing up it was frowned upon..not unlike the marijuana controversy. You didn’t want to have tattoos, smoke and be a stoner...that was the surest way downward.
So, one has to wonder if Christians get tattoos..are they trying to be seen as part of the world? I certainly can’t see having idols tattooed on your body and thinking that would be ok, can you? Maybe verses..but again..what is the one verse you think you need to read as long as you live..when there’s a whole Bible full of verses to live by. So, ya, I don’t see the need for a Christian to get tattooed.

The body isn't permanent either.
The tattoo will last your life then...

Then will you still be enamored of your tattoos in old age or even older age as you mature and your views change and you think..what was I thinking when I got that tattoo..lol!
