You asked a really good question! I had a quiet hope that someone will answer you, I'm really curious about it too
I'll try to share my view on this matter, although these are just theories. First of all this is very very complex. When it comes to mk ultra I do believe it's true. Currently psychology is so developed that there are many methods of influencing human minds. It's even their job these days to find new, more advanced ways, to influence people. When it comes to celebrities/political figures ect it's even more important. But focusing on celebrities - we all know what lifestyle they lead. Relying only on human strenght it wouldn't be possible to endure all of this. That is why they're so often on drug and other substances, but thanks to mk ultra those people can be literally controlled. Look how many shady things are going on behind the stage and off the camera, the special caution must be taken, because this industry risks a lot. I think they just can't afford the unpredictable whims of these artists, that's why they control them all the time. I don't know on what scale this all is happening, but it has to be huge. I have a feeling that all this world is kind of manufactured to some extent - normal people can live their lives being unaware, and controllers can bring what they want into this world maybe just because of their greedy whim
And about the illuminati's activity through ages - this all is definitely complicated. First of all, literally a small bunch of people belongs to the elite comparing to the rest of the world. Lot of people with their ideas, views, beliefs. Humanly it's impossible to comprehend everything. Additionally considering that there are more and more people in the world. That is why permissions take place - thanks to revolutionary changes, people get what they are fighting for, but despite the changes, the elite still maintains control over everything. They do all those nasty things but in secret. And more important thing - I read once that "there is a perception that slavery has been abolished. Meanwhile, the only thing abolished was ... whips. It has been found that a well-treated slave, with proper propaganda, is much more effective and much easier to control" (I'm sorry, I tried to translate it myself from another language). And I agree with that sentence. We are more humane these days and so the methods have become more humane.
And about the monarchy - that's right, once a king was considered as a God, especially in the system of despotic monarchy. But he was the only one. And once if his rule was right and focused on the good of people, they lived in prosperity. Of course there was a risk that the ruler would be terrible. But the main problem is that people are spoiled by the thirst for power. There are thousands of cases in history when the closest entourage conspired against the ruler.
