Then what was the reason of your comment, just to let everyone know just how much you don’t care and they shouldn’t care either because there’s worse going on? I haven’t the slightly clue but I’m interested to see what others have to say about it. So? Before people attached any symbolism to colors at all they were just reflections of light. Now we exist during a time where there is symbolism and meaning attached to colors, holidays, and everything really. There’s psychology behind colors whether you acknowledge it or not.
Yeah calling out a meaningless distraction for what it is. The US government is firing teargas on poor women and children at the border which is actually anti-Christian and far more serious than Christmas decorations.

Colors can only have an effect on you if you let it. What are we bulls triggered by the color red?

Celebrities have stylists for just about everything so I don’t really see this as personal expression. She’s just the face of someone else’s vision. Yeah red and white are Christmas colors but even the origin of that is symbolic, there’s meaning behind everything...what matters is the intentions of whoever is behind the idea. The second picture looks pretty normal it’s just the completely blood red Christmas trees that are really off putting to me but red is also my least favorite color.
Im surprised to read the "its just red & white" dialog here. Firstly, Christmas colors are traditionally red & green. The white used in them is a secondary, base color meant to imply the season. But I fully agree with you that this likely doesn't have much to do with her personal style and tastes. Perhaps she has some general oversight duties or it was originally her "vision" but I think you are very correct, its a public image project so it has to pass through a number of levels totally outside of Melania's scope in order to be unveiled to the public.

I’ve read way more about the teargas the past few days than Christmas decorations. I didn’t even heard about the decorations until this thread. There’s also millions of people starving every day while we throw out food. There’s also something worse going on.

Colors have a subconscious effect on us that’s out of our control. It’s an effective communication tool. We aren’t bulls, they can’t even see red they’re triggered by movement. We are creatures with brains that process and react to the information we receive.

Thank you, you understand my original point exactly!

I think it’s more of a personal taste than anything else. You admitted you just don’t like red. How many people are pissed off about this because how they feel about her husband’s policy?

I know bulls don’t see Red it was just a rhetorical device.

If the trees were Blue ( or Violet lol) would you still be chasing shadows?

Red would be okish, further away from original pagan meaning of christmas tree, but blood red, i don't like it at all, looks ominous almost scary...

If it takes Christmas decorations to wake up people to the fact that there is something seriously wrong with this White House, so be it.

I don’t like red and there’s research that shows that humans in general avoid the color red. There’s plenty of people weirded out by the decorations for their own reasons. No one seems to be pissed off but there does seem to be a common perception of ‘creepiness’, I don’t see how that directly reflects her husbands policies.

If the trees were blue or violet we would be having a different conversation because different colors would have caused a different reaction. Blue is calming. I’m not chasing shadows, nice try though.

Not all the connotations with the color red are inherently negative but at the end of the day a color is just reflected light and whatever symbolism may be attached to them we shouldn’t allow it to affect us.

I think whoever decided on it just thought it looked nice and I doubt there is any hidden meaning to it.

So this reminds you sunsets. Especially those darker strains...I understand that people get different associations but damn  For me it's horror movies and vampires...

Not necessarily I’m just pointing out that not every red is bad. I do think the Crimson trees are kind of pretty and it is a Christmas color, I just don’t see the big deal about all this.

Personally I don’t have a favorite color or a color I dislike. They all can be aesthetically pleasing (or not) it just depends on how it’s used.

I have only vague understanding about colors which consist of like or don't like. But i always search for meaning and associations. it became a habit from times when i was learning about symbology. Person who created this has a dark mind, of that im sure (it can be subconscious too). I do not think it's a big deal either. But it fits well in VC "field of work".

I found this article:
The Colors Of Christmas And Their Meanings
https://www.whychristmas.com/customs/colors-of-christmas.shtml

It explains some of the history of the colors we associate with Christmas. And by the way, white is on there as well.

Also, our modern depiction of Santa Claus and the red + white color scheme we associate with him was actually a creation of the Coca-Cola Company. I find that interesting. Here's an article about that:

Kinda strange that some here are outright denying anything is unusual on a conspiracy website where the importance of symbolism is literally in the title. Especially considering that VC focuses much of his work on the bastardization of Christian symbolism and the importance of white to red as a symbol of initiation. I am just imagining the outrage if Michelle Obama would've done the same.

I suppose I am also talking in a broader sense and not just about the Christmas trees. Melania has a certain witch-like vibe to her and I have to wonder if she secretly is.

"The skulls bring out the festive joy of the holiday season in our decor. We're reminded to treasure what we have when we see the skulls of our conquered foes every time we walk through these sacred halls." Melanie said.

Who doesn't have a bunch of skulls of their slain foes nestling in their Xmas decorations box?.....Don't know what all the fuss is about.

....(puts skull of amorous ex milkman next to festive candles on mantlepiece)
