You are absolutely right my friend, we all know we are still in their claws for as long as we care about them or any other kpop groups. The thing is : the bond. Being a fan for a long time makes it harder to leave the obsession behind. It is like alcohol and drug addicts, obsessions can destroy you because of their nature.
Personally speaking, I decided to leave this thread ( even wrote a post about it ), but realised I have not truly healed of the addiction. That is why I keep coming back, but not because I want to, but because I see that there are many things I observe that I want the others to know. This thread gets visited daily by a lot of people, and posting what I see makes me feel like I contribute to others wanting to escape just like me.
Nonetheless, I can't say I haven't made progress, I don't watch any of the shows, episodes or stream mvs anymore. I keep in touch with updates only through twitter. I admit I listen to kpop songs, but the essence I once felt is already gone. They are just songs to me now, nothing sentimental or sappy about it.
The more we grow up and the deeper things get, I believe there will come a day when no one of us will care anymore about these things. As for now, I think we are just leaving our prints here until we get bored and leave and help other people do the same.
