So...

Why is it that you make so many personal comments to people who don't share your views?

Just sayin...
Sharing my views has nothing to do with it.

To your question, because I try to love everyone but cannot love the stupid with anything other than tough love.

They are beyond logic and reason and have been listening to false preachers for too long and their moral sense has been corrupted.

It is tempting to presume that those who take views that we strongly oppose are less intelligent than ourselves.

I like the attitude C.S Lewis displayed to others, one that must have been shaped by his interactions in debate with the likes of Bertrand Russell etc...

"It is a serious thing to live in a society of possible gods and goddesses, to remember that the dullest most uninteresting person you can talk to may one day be a creature which,if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship, or else a horror and a corruption such as you now meet, if at all, only in a nightmare. All day long we are, in some degree helping each other to one or the other of these destinations. It is in the light of these overwhelming possibilities, it is with the awe and the circumspection proper to them, that we should conduct all of our dealings with one another, all friendships, all loves, all play, all politics. There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations - these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub, and exploit - immortal horrors or everlasting splendors."

Intelligence I define as just rote learning.

I seek the smart and try to push the intelligent to be so.

Indeed.

It was doing God's work. That is why God put it there.

That is also why God put me here.

The question then - which God?

The God who revealed himself to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob or the god of this world who failed to seduce the Lord Jesus Christ with his slight of hand and seductive speech in the wilderness?

Not that imaginary prick.

If you seek identity, wisdom and knowledge of God then do as scriptures tell your to do.

Hebrews 6 King James Version; 1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

Stop wasting my time.

Sometimes you can be too hasty to close down dialogue...

Quotation-John-Wayne-A-friend-of-mine-told-me-to-shoot-first-and-121-43-70.jpg

The context of the verses you quote are talking about moving on to spiritual maturity.

You don't discard the algebra you learn at Primary school because you are now studying quadratic equations at High School, you simply don't need to do the Primary lessons again.

He can't agree even with himself. This video is the highest standard of "apologetics" you will get from God-detesting Contradictory Babbler. :D

honestly i think the philosophy he is trying to express is along the lines of Madam Blavatsky's 'Theosophy' which is a kind of westernised vedanta (hinduism). But doing it by attacking mainstream religion is silly.

How does a person determine where spirituality begins and ends?
It requires at least some form of theoretical structure....and that is religion.

I love that sketch!

I started a thread up just to let people state where they stand on their philosophical and religious position, without trying to argue at all. It's good to know what you believe what the person you are discussing with believes. As meaningful discussion and dialogue must begin with respect, I felt this might be helpful....

P.s. @JoChris

I found a longer version of the sketch - it includes an additional room before the argument room that brought a wry smile with respect to particular discussion styles ;-)
