Personally I think ever since they made their US mini pre-debut after their dark and Wild album back in 2014 everything changed...remember BTS American hustle life when they went to the US to get training and advice from well known ppl from the music industry like Tony jones, coolio ect I feel like they learned a few minor tricks. Their dark and wild concept was simple, there was no complicated fan theories it was only after I need you when theories started surfacing, and symbolism slowly started to appear but in my opinion it only starting getting super blatant after Fire...it’s just so crazy how well thought out and interlinked BIGHIT made each song...like every little detail is connected, it’s honestly like a series

Here’s an interview of tony on his experience with BTS I only posted what I found interesting:https://www.soompi.com/2014/11/17/interview-meet-tony-jones-bts-hip-hop-mentor-on-american-hustle-life-2/

Where do you see K-Pop in five years?

T: I really see K-Pop blowing up and growing. I don’t know if the management thought of bringing them to America or starting an American BTS, but what they’re doing is brilliant. There’s no one in America dancing, singing, and rapping like that. It’s actually a good idea to start a group like that in America. They took from New Edition, from Boys to Men, they also took from A$AP Rocky. They just took everything and put it together. I don’t know if that was the plan or the boys were that talented but it’s lucky they came together. It’s brilliant. I really think that K-Pop will blow up more and it won’t be a local thing anymore. It’s going to grow because of BTS.

Hmmm...

Anyway you can read the rest of the interview but that’s just my opinion
Yes idk who said it but there was something like “BTS will pave the way for other Kpop acts to make it big in America” Now groups like NCT and Exo are getting called by big media coverages like Billboard

I guess i'm the minority here but i was never fascinated with BTS tbh. I mean they're a cool group with amazing visuals and talent and their music was great as well but i never caught the hype. Idk why, even before all the massive fame in America i never liked them. I like some of thier music but i cant stand looking at their pictures or any of their videos. The moment i see a bts picture i swipe away or if its a video i avoid it like the plague, like a reflex action of sorts.
I always thought that was weird because i never had the same reaction with any other kpop group and I've been listening to kpop since i was about 9.
Also Idk if you guys have seen this but theres a person on YT who claims to do fortune readings on kpop idols and she made a video on bts but said she wouldn't make a reading on them because apparently they have too much 'energy' around them and its impossible to get a reading. I've always been a ultra sensitive person so maybe I've felt the same but never realized it?
I have never heard of this person , so that amount of energy around them is like protecting them ?

Oh yes I definitely know her she was the one who feared for V’s dark future in terms of him being possibly endangered I think she said something about him being poisoned or something by an anti fan? Idk what to think about that other than that her predictions seemed pretty accurate

And going back to the BTS thing I don’t blame you tho, they get too overhyped sometimes that’s it’s overwhelming and annoying, not a day goes by without seeing them everywhere on every social media ugh it kinda puts you off tbh

Yes I don’t believe in fortunes but a man on YouTube said that V will face a lot of hardships and he comes across as quite stubborn or egotistical (I can’t remember the adjective used to describe him sorry)

Are you taking about this man right? I watched him long time ago too...same idk if I believe in that tbh but it was interesting and he did describe his personality pretty accurately but I guess he could have easily researched tae lol i would have been more convinced if he did like a livestream and was asked unexpectedly on the spot to do an analysis lol

But he really got me thinking...honestly I’ve always been worried about v or Jin the most...seems like something bad might happen to them especially since they’re
December babies which is important to the elite

Yess it was him yh and same quite reluctant to believe him and yh he should have lol it would have been more believable I was trying to find the video so thank you for posting it here
Me too! I feel like Jin and Tae are connected in everything I’ve had this feeling that something bad will happen to them for a while but I brushed it off and now knowin nothing is a coincidence I’m worried
Yes the world is a stage explained how months and zodiacs are important to the elite

Dark & Wild was the last solid A+ album for me.

I dont like that they're aiming for US popularity. They're oversaturating us with content too like you guys already mentioned. I feel bad for them cos they constantly have cameras on them. That has to be taxing on their self-image. This is what they signed up for though!

After fans begged her to do a prediction on them she finally released a video explaining why she didn’t want to bc she got bad vibes from them lol

But she did one anyway

Just some interesting mentions :

1: 35 she mentions she senses some issues between the members
3: 56 she states that she feels like one of the members want to be taken seriously in terms of their music, they have a different plan compared to other members specifically namjoon
5 : 22 she talks about bts having problems with their fans that they will cause a major scandal...
10 : 12 talks about v’s dangerous state in the future
15 : 26 she senses the group are controlled by their CEO’s music styles but they wish to express their own true music...

Honestly she seems pretty convincing to me even tho I don’t usually believe in these type of things

You see among the things I really hate about the kpop and kpop fandoms in general is that they never express their sincere opinion about something unlike fans of western music, so what if you don't like a song? what if it doesn't appeal to you? why other fans feel the need to attack someone who said "well Euphoria wasn't that good" . I really find this ridiculous, you're entitled to express your opinion freely about what you like and dislike.
I agree and armys especially have this mentality
If you say something negative about their music they attack you, like its imposible to dislike one of their songs

they are also obsessed with loving all the members equally when this is simply not possible
it's normal for kpop fans to have a bias, meaning a person in the group you like more than the others. But for Armys this is not possible and you have to love all of them the same way

I wanted to add..

As a music lover, it makes me so angry when fans of any music artist can't admit when a song is trash. On the topic of ARMYs, it's funny how when it was announced BTS were gonna perform on the AMAs "DNA," then and only then could they admit "DNA" was the weakest song choice. I honestly don't even think BTS were satisfied with it. But yes, not every song the release is great. And the last album wasn't great either but look how it managed to break into charts.
DNA is the most generic song ever.
I could see any other kpop boygroup singing it and there would be no difference.
A group like BTS who talks so much about having their own identity but then they release a song like DNA?
their last album was very generic in my opnion, I think the outro HER is the only song that is similar to their old style

no wait- nobody tell you you can't have a bias, the problem is for fans that hate other members and there are people like these...i think it's rude to bash other members just because they are not bias.
Also BTS strengh is their unity, V said "love us all" so basically that's the point.
Personally i have my bias of course but i find them all likeable so i don't get how some people could hate on them (talking about the image they show to us, i don't know how much we truly know them anyway)
I've seen people on twitter saying you have to love all of them the same way and give them the same attention
I'm not saying you have to hate on the others but why do you have to like all of them the same way? they show different personalities and talents and we all have prefferences

Yep there’s a hug difference between having a bias and being a solo stan, armys usually hate solo Stans, they’re the ones who don’t even acknowledge the existence of other members and basically just care about that one person. I remember when solo stans were actually fighting over who’s the lead dancer in BTS, they kept bashing hobi and saying Jimin needs more appreciation lmao they even threatened to contact or sue bighit bc apparently Jimin was being less appreciated...the fandom can be so toxic it’s unbelievable

I dunno, i've always read people saying it's ok to have a bias and a favourite, but it's not ok to hate on others, that means you love them all but of course you love your bias more.
And in general i too don't understand why people could hate on them after their strong point is their interraction on each other..
I could understand if it was about hate but that's not always the case
I remember when maknae line fancams had a lot of views and there was a huge difference with the other members and fans on twitter were complaining saying the fandom was full of solo stans and telling them to go and watch hyung line fancams

This is kind of annoying. Fans should be free to watch whatever fancam they want and there is no need to make them feel bad about it

True fancams are understandable but vlives tho are unacceptable I always hated it when a certain member was doing a solo vlive and then certain stans especially the Makne line ones would comment “where’s the other members” “where’s v” I always felt so disgusted and embarrassed especially since I remember hobi stoped doing solo vlives for a whole year bc it impacted him that much, that’s just so disrespectful and sad imo

The most common problem in the fandom is with solo stans, there are a lot of Jungkook solo stans for example that hate Taehyung , or the shippers who hate a specific member because simply "he ruins their ship" like they say... I think this is what they meant by loving all the membersand not hating on someone specific and of course everyone can have a bias. I have a bias, a bias wrecker but I love them all.

Oh God I was watching the videos and that was so scary, I don't believe such thing normally but what she said in the 2nd video was somehow accurate because what she said at some point seems like something only insiders could spill.

I remember in the 2017 Summer package (I think) the members did a fortune reading and Tae was the only one who got a negative fortune..
Tae's fortune was so bad, he really needs to put some boundaries between him and people he knows because he has a lot of celebrity friends, nothing is wrong with that, it's just that in that industry you can't trust everyone.
