Hey everyone :)
I spent a good time reading this thread starting from page 1 , it was very productive and I'm really glad I found a place where I can share what I think with people with the same thoughts .
I read what you all said about Tae's personality change but did anyone ever think that it might be also related to his friendship with B○g&m ? I used to find their friendship cute but lately I've been getting in depth reading about religious cults and the one B is in is really disturbing , and some rumours say that he tried to recruit many idols and a lot now view him in a bad way ...
and just to understand some terrible things that cults do , the sewol ferry was said to be a cult sacrifice and the head of church(cult ) who's also the head of the company that was involved is still wanted (he literally vanished with his family ) Not that B's cult is that established to do a sacrifice like that but they have their fair share of creepy things
Welcome, I’m glad you’ve joined this thread
Thank you for the information and yes I have realised that V has changed since Hwarang he’s also been spending a lot of time with them I remember that that Jimin said that he wanted to go to Japan with Tae but he was busy so he decided to go at a different time with Jungkook instead
I didn’t know about the cult though wow that’s creepy

EXACTLY , that's why when we try to let go we feel empty? I really felt so empty that i didn't know what to do , like you said it's like breaking up with a close friend , it's hard to adjust and have a healthy life and thinking after , they really take over their fans like they said in pied piper
i still consider myself a fan, but i don't feel that closeness anymore, idk why. and yoongi used to be my favorite and now i'm turned off by him and think he's a jerk, maybe fame got to his head, or I'm just not buying the image they sell anymore. I'm not anti now, but that "bond" isn't there anymore.

Thank god im not the only one with this mindset.. they did say that they won't change just because they won a billboard and stuff but for most of the members that turns out to be false

Welcome!!!
And you are correct about Bogum and his cult. I heard he promotes his cult on social media too and he was born into it
the relationship with V is suspicious and jimin said V was spending a lot of time with his new friends and ignoring him
I notice after V started his friendship with Bogum he became more sad and serious. Here is more info about bogum and the strange cult:

https://www.koreaboo.com/news/park-bo-gum-controversy-endorsing-religious-cult/

According to this article Bogum will only date a woman who is part of this cult so it makes me think if he has the same rule for his friends? is not too crazy to think he made V part of the cult too

True, it's like having friends or more than that, you constantly get update from them, their battles become your battles, they all work hard everytime they feel a member is getting desrespected.
It's really energy consuming.
Like incubus that are feeded with obsessions.
I found myself often wanting to buy their stuff...i am honest that i thought about buying their new album but i contained myself -lol- but i had the thought , luckily i'm quite stingy and i repeated myself i can't buy something without being certain i like it .
that's the strategy of BigHit and their CEO even admited
They give content to their fans every day, Armys cant be without BTS tweet or a video for more than a week because they freak out
Meanwhile other kpop fans have to wait months for their faves to have a comeback or activity

I think the main reason for Army's obsession is this constant material they get everyday, it becomes routine and if they stop they don't know what to do with themselves

I also notice that a lot of them protect BTS members like if they were family and believe they are perfect and can do no wrong, this type of mentality is so toxic! nobody is perfect and you shouldn't be treating celebrities like gods

Same!
But i don't think that fame changed them...i just think they were not what we believed they were.
I mean, despite their pure image Yoongi was into the undergroung rap scene , the possibility of him being his BTS "persona" are very low taking that in consideration, with this i'm not saying he is a bad person, but definately he's not what his fangirls think to know so well.
And JHope always said clear he's not what his public "happy" persona show, and everywhere i've read he's actually very serius person (it's also interesting he's the one that still share room with Jimin).
I too don't have this *bond* with them anymore but i still check what they do, especially my bias...i have conflictual feelings (lol), in a way i'm worried about them(i keep have this feeling something will happen), in another i'm aware i should distant myself .

I'm older, so I'm not easily persuaded into believing public personas like typical fans do. Suga is my bias and JHope is too.

I quoted you to say I have a sinking gut feeling that something bad is going to happen as well. Whether that means a scandal, a member leaving, etc. I just don't know. :-(

I care about them as a whole. All the boys are my favorite tbqh; they're likeable. And I enjoy watching them on Run and Burn the Stage. I guess I'm attached to them in that sense, but it is hard to watch them because I think to myself, "What have these boys gotten themselves into?!" You really can't deny that they're into some satanic stuff (maybe they are aware, maybe not). I strongly believe a lot of these celebs hate the binding contracts and blood oaths they have to keep. But they're trapped and are either too afraid to break it or think they can endure it until a time ends it.

Let me say I hate Pied Piper. When I first heard the lyrics I immediately thought "these boys really put here blatantly casting spells on their listeners!" We know music artists cast spells in their music but they so brazenly did so. And ARMYs eat it up!!

I also didn't like the dark, hooded male figure with red glowing eyes in the Japanese version of Mic Drop. Gave me the creeps with an eerie vibe!

The hooded figure was Steve Aoki they just didn't show his face in the Japanese version

It's weird how fans see a creepy figure like that and never question it. You have a huge dark monster controlling them and you think they put it there for no reason?
They always use occult symbols in their videos and the fans say is artistic but why is their concept always related to the devil or bad energy?

I've seen a lot of fans saying they are excited because the new album will be darker and about depression and I wonder why? they enjoy listening to depressing music? those depressing videos give me the creeps I watch them once and never again because everything is about sadness

The reason most of us didnt question it cause its the exactly the same scene from the korean version just with Steve's face blacked out so we never thought much of it

there was no reason for them to hide Steve Aoki in the japanese version. Why would they replace Seve with a hooded figure? everybody knows they had a collab and Steve appeared in one of their MVs

I believe that dark figure was something completely different

I think fans are excited about a dark concept because they want BTS to address these issues youths have. I personally struggled with depression, so I used to feel really encouraged listening to people who have gone through the same things.

That's a main reason I got really attached to them. It's cringy now remembering myself listening to First Love and The Last over and over again and crying, but it was really uplifting back then.
