the new stuff is garbage. but if you listent to the forst stuff BEFORE the die antwerd persona, the lyrics are intelligent, social commentary, and rather clean hip hop. not sure what they are about now. image change to cash in, maybe.

all im saying is, they diodnt start out that way.

yeah, maybe they found that changing their style, lyrics and stuff would attract more views, fans, etc... in the end money is the goal for most of these artists...

its not shocking or edgy, i think WTJ just figured out what it took to get paid in the music industry and he is giving them what they want. can't blame the guy for wanting to make $. you could call him a sell out, but if it isn't him, its going to be someone else a

This is just their fictional characters they pretend to be on stage as actors. In real life a record company sent them a million dollar check in the mail to control their whole career, and they sent that million dollars BACK to the record company and said no thanks you can keep that cash, we don't need it. "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money." - Matthew 6:24

Sorry for necrobumping this in case that's against the rules of the forum, but I feel like this has to be said:

The argument that "if it isn't him, it's going to be someone else" just doesn't hold water. That's the logic of order-followers. That's like nazis shooting pregnant women in the head because, heck, "if I don't do it, someone else will anyway", and they'd rather avoid risking their own lives. That type of logic is, quite literally and without exaggerating, the root of all evil; this happens to be reflected in the more "demonic" nature of their recent "work", if one can call it that.

It doesn't really matter that someone starts out being intelligent and doing art to critique society, if they sell out to evil forces that's still what they're doing, so appealing to how they were before doing so is moot. Plenty of people who have sold out to the elites started out like that too.
