'Abd means slave to God.

If one has submitted to God through peace through agreeing to believe, then one is called a submitter to His Will that actually encompasses every atomic unit of creation.

Allāh, the Arabic name that denotes God, has 99 attributes.

One is surely 'AbdAllāh firstly, whether born in a Muslim family or not, if s/he firmly believes in A Supreme Invisible Entity reigning over the constantly expanding universe.

Then one would be known also as a slave of God ('Abdillāh) too.

And then the 'Abd to His Attributes too such as

'Abdur Rahmān, for instance, servant to the Most Beneficent, simply because that person benefits himself/herself firstly by staying away from everything that is immoral to begin with and by keeping clean most importantly.

Feel free to share what other 'Abd title you know about here. Thanks!

"'Abd" is (3+2)

It is therefore the "plus" between 5.

It is also the first four letters of the Roman alphabet, but without a "c". :)

To be 'Abd of Allāh, God, means to be a servant to The Most Good Maker of the universe by being instrumental to the well-being of one and all as much as possible, without ever forgetting one's own self at the same time.

Did you know that before a Muslim eats s/he is required to utter the three-syllabled word -Bismillāh- ?

It stands for "In The Name of God".

'Abd is a Servant of God Almighty. And the servant ponders/reflects upon whatever God Makes available to him/her his/her whole life through...

In that sense, the servant tries to implement and practise so as to always be living as per the Laws of God until death comes so that the soul may transfer to the next life as painlessly as possible.

God Stays as that person's True Beloved in his/her heart, and very rightfully so.
