Some parts of ukraine had referendum where people "voted" to join russia.And in some of those parts ukraine have been conquering back their land that now from russias perspective is an invasion to their territory (lol) . Gotta get that "Casus Belli" somehow...
And russia will defend their "Territorial whole" with nukes as they like to threaten.Some rumors going around that Putin gonna declare mobilisation and martial law any moment now.

Since China and India are in BRICS then they gotta join in if one of them gets attacked.For russia it aint hard to portray it so that the USA is having a proxy war against them because thats whats kinda is happening.

Wow I didn't know their was another pipeline inaugurated at the same time the NS is being sabotaged. From the ABC article:

What do people make of the referendum vote in the 4 (former haha) Ukrainian provinces? RT is reporting 99% voted to join Russia. I don't think it changes much of the current military positions but long term this will increase the potential for heightened conflict. I'm happy for the Donbass but frustrated it will only encourage further militarism, possibly direct attacks from the UNSC/NATO.

Moral is low on russian side,benefits and pay for fighting are pretty much non-existant and purpose/cause of the war is questionable. They dont even get tax exemption while fighting. Equipment sucks and most soldiers lack training and experience.
Because of "Dedovshchina" russians in military get to hold and shoot a loaded gun for once or twice during their whole service. Otherwise they would kill each other or kill themselves which has happened there loads of times.

I'm much more critical of the US, British, and NATO role in all of this. The predominantly Russian speakers of the Donbass states have been at war with their own government, specifically Nazi battalions, since the Western backed coup in 2014. Russia claims to have begged for the Minsk agreements to be kept- which were not only ignored but shelling increased right up to the invasion in February. As has been said many times, what if Russia were running military exercises along the US border, encouraging Mexico to acquire nuclear weapons?

The US establishment has everything to gain by destabilizing Russia's relationship with the EU, including ending the NS2 project that Germany spent billions on. Look at the RAND CO. papers imagining how Ukraine could be used to lure Russia and knock them off balance. The wicked Pentagon is using Ukraine to fight a proxy war without a care for the Ukrainian people. IMO this charade has everything to do with Russiagate and the perpetual demonizing of Russia in the West- Russian meddling, hacking, authoritarianism, etc. There are powers in the West who are rabid for war with Russia (and China too).

I personally respect the original premise of the UN: for world governments to speak and peacefully solve conflicts. Under international law not every state has the freedom to secede from their mother country but in the case of SE Ukraine their should absolutely be consideration based on the circumstances.
