Remember these things? They still exist and are the most secure calls in the world today. If you find a working one its worth noting the adress

If they have cameras on the phone they can still figure it out so Make sure they can’t see your face. The one benefit of corona is you can get away with a mask. But they could be testing to see if they can identify you with a mask.
Nice. But how do you know they aren't bugged? This reminded me of a scene in the Netflix series Messiah where (since the al masih didn't use cellphones), he'd remove something (probably a recorder?) from the payphone after using it.

Come to think of it, how were household landlines bugged 40 or 50yrs ago? The way it was done then is the way it would be done today. I wouldn't be surprised if there was already a team sent out to bug every single one of those things in the entire country.

It is not that random but it is a thought:
I don’t think I want children anymore, not in this sick world :(
Being a parent has it’s worrisome moments.
The world is scary, but there is also good.

If you change your mind, just know having kids is a rewarding experience.

That's interesting, although I question the kinds of conversations that some people are having that would necessitate using a payphone for privacy reasons.

I have been recalled back to work as my employer has deemed us “essential employees” (more like essential for them to profit). Despite the fact we are still under stay at home orders, our county is still red with not even a projection of when that may cease and it is physically impossible to “socially distance” when working with a low functioning autistic client who needs hands on prompting to complete anything. We were told to use hand sanitizer - though they admit there’s none available - and that we can choose to wear masks but it may “frighten” our kids and we can’t require the client or their families to wear masks as well.

So I’m sure this is going to go spectacularly well.. :(

I know it is celebrity gossip but when i read about Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari's break-up, i found myself wondering at guys who want to date or marry gals who've gone to Ivy League schools but spend the entire relationship talking their partner down or not respecting/appreciating their intellect. So what exactly do these people want from an Ivy League alumni? Just a trophy perhaps?
He wanted to marry up...but was intimidated by her?

Just an FYI - if you refuse to return to work you lose your unemployment.
Shouldn’t you lose it if you refuse a job? Isn’t that always been the case with an unemployment check...its not meant to be a lifestyle.

In a pandemic? No.

If people are going to protest for the right to go back to work because “freedom” then the option to go back to work because “freedom” should be made available. No one should be forced to risk their health if they don’t want to. Just like you said no one should be forced to shut down or not work if they don’t want to and don’t feel they are risking anything.

Why does the pandemic matter? People still need a job to live in this world.

Money doesn’t grow on trees...you have to work for it..this isn’t the Socialist states of America. My brother was telling me that people were calling out saying that they were sick when its generally acknowledged that they aren’t....works that way too.

Cool, thank you for confirming my belief that this was never about freedom.

Sure it is..the freedom to make money and take care of your family. That your employer wants to reopen is good...I just posted a news article that people who thought they temporarily lost their jobs found out it will be permanent. That could be you..not that you’d care, I’m sure.

Someone putting their foot on your neck telling you to go out and risk your life to work or starve in the middle of a fucking pandemic is not freedom - not even with some sort of loose definition of the word.

Also why wouldn’t I care about not having a job to go back to? I like my job. I love my client. It is important to me that both me and my client and his family remain safe throughout this time because I care about my client. There are additional ethical issues here that someone who’s entire work experience consists of Kmart and walmart may not be able to fully grasp.

Nope. I just don’t expect a housewife who’s main work experience was at Kmart, who has somehow managed to read her bible as a co-sign for greed and exploitation, and who thinks trump is a good guy...

To understand the ethical conundrums involved with working with a vulnerable population.

I think trump has been good at getting America working again...he did have the lowest unemployment in 50 years..that’s a good thing for all families. Why wouldn’t I like that?

I’m not sure what you mean about the Bible being the co-sign for greed and exploitation?

We are only snowflakes if we think we are  Previous generations understood that if you wanted to make it in the world, you worked hard.
