Proof numerology is being actively used in the media?

Numerology is a tool and as such is neither good nor bad. It all depends whom one serves. Neither are all kabbalists evil.

Magic is forbidden. The reason is obvious because it involves use of the djinn and they won't help you until you worship them or defile yourself. Such as sitting in your own waste for a number of days or trying to have relations with family members.

Generally the devils will only help if you do an act that angers the Almighty. This alone makes it evil.. so when you say..

I've read several islamic texts playing with numerology, ascribing importance to numbers. Does that make them evil? Or Plotinus, pythagoreans etc etc... Are they evil because they give importance to numbers. I also don't know what you think numbers mean in these philosophies but mostly they are used as basic categories of reality. Sort of like the names of god are used in sufism. They are meant to be meditated upon. First time I hear that kabbalah involves the invocation of djinns and I've read several kabbalistic texts. Maybe some weird offshoots do that? Not saying there aren't super shady sects in kabbalism.

I am not interested in internal schisms of any religion. I did find many islamic texts beautiful even if they may not be true islam by someones' standards.
What proof? What magic, because giving importance to numbers is not a magical practice involving spirits. Religious intolerance is not my thing, so I will happily go on believing what I do - goodwill between men and all that.

This surprises you how? I notice if its islam muslim nothing ever quoted is wrong misinformed etc but christian stuff then its bad its corrupted etc so take it with a grain of salt.

I'm with you on this. I don't believe numbers equal magic. it's like saying the alphabet is evil if you think about it.
