The United Nations Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict Pramila Patten expressed deep concern on Monday over the meddling of some Israeli officials in the ongoing investigations of reports of sexual violence by Israeli occupation forces against Palestinian detainees.

These are dark times my brother. I also read that article yesterday on Israel's fantasy to annex northern Gaza, it is painful. @Karlysymon will be interested in this writing, having referred to the appointment of Goren. I want to note the information she posted was almost a week after The Cradle's piece. We have to acknowledge their growing role and value in providing news and analysis from West Asia.

What's the saying: "Man proposes but God disposes". We've heard many theories over 9 months. Gazans were set to be moved to Egypt, the evil US pier would transport Palestinians as refugees, etc. I can put only so much energy into reading the wicked nightmare scenarios of Neocon/Israeli think-tanks. We don't know what will pass.

I can admit I wear my own blinders. Hearing directly from the Palestinian Resistance you are overwhelmed by the strength of holiness, national struggle, righteousness, international consciousness, etc. In that vein of messaging we, the freedom loving people of the planet, know that spiritually we are winning but there is a disconnect within battling a criminal trillionaire Zionist infrastructure.

It's concerning that as Israel's impunity- the lawless murder of unarmed citizens, torture and theft, etc. accelerates... the media and part of the general public have grown more numb to the horror. Remember how Al Shifa and other incidents late last year stirred up such a storm of coverage? Israel's carnage and murder have multiplied yet the outcry is quieter. The majority of independent media are complacent as well. Check out the glut of researchers who continue to rave on about covid, central banks, or 9/11... when Israel killed more of their people on Oct.7, calling it their own 9/11. All these truthers are disinterested because honestly they're afraid of the truth (especially the truth of Islam).

The satanic cabal is playing the long game that Johnstone talked about months ago but we cannot give up hope. Those who care about law, justice and freedom have to stay healthy if we can. Keep boycotting with your money, speaking, writing to who will listen. Israel achieving its goals is a signal of the end of history as we know it. If Palestine falls we will all be targets for their fascist, mass displacement, armed AI drone surveillance state.

What troubles me is that if the ground invasion of Lebanon happens Gaza will be pushed further back by the media and criminal state will use that to commit even more vile atrocities than they already have.

Keep Gaza in the spotlight!

Death toll in Israeli attack on school rises to 14

A spokesperson for the Palestinian Civil Defence says that at least 14 people, including two UNRWA staff, women and children, have been killed in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Israeli jets struck an UNRWA-run school-turned-shelter for the internally displaced known as al-Jaouni.
Palestinian Civil Defence said at least 18 people were wounded, some critically, as its teams are still working to recover bodies and look for survivors.

Israeli army issues statement on Nuseirat attack

The Israeli army has issued a statement about the air attack on the school-turned-shelter for displaced people in Nuseirat, claiming that the air force targeted a Hamas command and control centre.
Without providing evidence, it said the compound was used to plan and carry out attacks against Israeli forces in Gaza and against Israel.
As we’ve reported, children are among the at least nine people killed, with the death toll expected to rise.

Israel ‘contradicts’ itself by claiming Nuseirat attack targeted Hamas

It was a massive strike that hit a very densely populated area of the Nuseirat refugee camp that the Israeli army has designated as “a safe zone”.

The grim reality is that the Israeli army is bombing the UN-run shelters under the pretext of them being used as control and command centres by the Palestinian armed groups.

Israel’s Defence Minister Yoav Gallant just two days ago said that Hamas as a military formation does not exist any more as the Israeli forces managed to eradicate the vast majority of its military capabilities.

Now, the question is, if these capabilities have been diminished in a considerable manner, who is Israel attacking at the moment?

At least six schools-turned-shelters targeted by Israel since August

As we’ve been reporting, Israeli jets struck a school in Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza Strip, killing at least 14 people, according to the Palestinian Civil Defence.
This UNRWA-run school – al-Jaouni – is at least the sixth to be targeted by Israeli shelling or air raids since August 1:
  • On August 1, at least 15 people were killed and more than 29 injured in an Israeli attack on the Dalal al-Mughrabi School.
  • On August 3, at least 16 people were killed in an Israeli air raid on Hamama school for the internally displaced in Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood, north of Gaza City.
  • On August 4, at least 30 people were killed following Israeli air raids on the Nassr and Hassan Salama schools, west of Gaza City.
  • On August 8, Israel bombed Abdul Fattah Hamouda and az-Zahra schools, killing 17 and injuring dozens more.
  • On August 10, more than 100 people were killed and 150 were injured after multiple Israeli bombs hit al-Tabin School, east of Gaza City.
‘Tremendous size of destruction’ witnessed in Nuseirat

Witnesses told me people were waiting for food when the Israeli attack was carried out targeting a UN-run evacuation centre in the Nuseirat refugee camp without any warning.

I have just returned from the site. I saw a tremendous size of destruction. Piles of rubble are scattered around the area. I saw a missile that was stuck in the ground.

This is not the only attack that was carried out by the Israeli forces on evacuation shelters. In the Nuseirat refugee camp alone, 13 of them were targeted since July.

More on rescue efforts in Nuseirat

I saw a large number of emergency workers in Nuseirat, trying to find survivors after the Israeli attack on an evacuation centre.

They have been digging the rubble with their bare hands due to the lack of basic equipment.

The emergency workers retrieved 14 bodies and transferred an unidentified number of injured people to nearby hospitals.

The attack caused a great deal of destruction and the hope for finding survivors is dwindling.

She has more than one question and each question is a valid one.

These children…they’ve witnessed things beyond words.

These children have valid questions but if only they knew how complicated things are. According to this fmr ambassador, the Arab countries in the region don't even want a Palestinian state or Palestinian populations and he isn't the first person i've heard say this. Everything that the Arab ruling class says is all lip service and Netanyahau was brazen enough to acknowledge this months ago. Reasons are obviously national and international. Reading the ambassador's comments made me wonder about many things;

a)Jordan has a huge Palestinian population and apparently more Palestinian babies are born than Jordanian ones and it's causing consternation. If no one wants a Palestinian state, then the one in Jordan is slated for expulsion....solving that problem through annexation.

b)We hear all the time that if the Israeli gov't razed the Al aqsa mosque compound, the region will blow up. Iam now questioning if that would ever happen. Yes, there is a difference between the Arab street and their rulers but i highly doubt that someone like MBS would lift a finger to prevent the erection of the Jewish temple. Abu Obeida did say that one of their motivations for the attack was because of the "red cows" brought for the temple.

c)Hamas must be acutely aware of this isolation that they would put up this fight on their own....it also says something about Hezbollah and it's coming to their aid by exhausting Israel with action on the Northern border.

@Stucky, i re-watched this video you posted months ago after i read the article iam talking about and i couldn't help but laugh at all the empty rhetoric and fake outrage we've heard from Arab leaders in almost a year. I don't like holding onto false hopes but the article made me think that perhaps we should adjust our expectations on what we imagine might play out if/when the "region blows up" aka ww3.

"Now the Arab speaking countries long ago realized that this wasn't a good idea (to be anti-zionist). They pursued this in the 30s,40s,50s,60s and then they stopped. This is no longer what the gov'ts are doing....it's quite dramatic. You hear nasty language coming out of Iran & Turkey but you don't hear this out of Arab capitals....they don't do this anymore. They've left this behind. They realized that this wasn't useful....they find anti-zionism a problem." ~Daniel Pipes

AJ,

US grants Egypt $1.3bn in military aid citing Gaza peace efforts

The US government is overriding human rights concerns by providing $1.3bn in military aid to Egypt, a State Department spokesperson says.
The announcement comes as Washington has relied heavily on Cairo – a longstanding US ally – to mediate so far unsuccessful talks between Israel and Hamas on a ceasefire deal to end the bloody war on Gaza.
“This decision is important to advancing regional peace and Egypt’s specific and ongoing contributions to US national security priorities, particularly to finalize a ceasefire agreement for Gaza, bring the hostages home, surge humanitarian assistance for Palestinians in need, and help bring an enduring end to the Israel-Hamas conflict,” the spokesperson said.

Death toll of Israeli attack on UNRWA school rises to 18

The Government Media Office has said that at least 18 people, including women and children, were killed in the Israeli air attack on a school-turned-shelter in central Gaza Strip.
The attack on the UNRWA school in Nuseirat refugee camp killed at least two staff working for the UN agency that provides relief to Palestinians, the Civil Defence said.

I of course respect your input KS and rarely comment on someone's opinion but I think you underestimate the power of the legacy of Islam which contains the revelation of an actual historical prophet Muhammad, the unbroken language of Arabic, along with extremely detailed chains of transmission of the faith over 1400 years. I'm not saying that the scenario you're considering isn't possible but the ramifications of desecrating the deeply important place of Al Aqsa/Ash Sham cannot be simply brushed aside:

With the benefit of hindsight, I think the death of Palestine happened in 1978/79 when Egypt signed a peace deal with Israel. Since then any dissention among the Arab ranks has been slapped down with bribery and/or the most barbaric of violence. Look what has happened to the 5 armies who entered Palestine in 1948. Iraq; reduced to hell on Earth. Syria; reduced to hell on Earth. Lebanon; reduced to hell on Earth. Signed a "peace treaty" that wasn't really a peace treaty. Bounced bank somewhat, and is probably going to be reduced to hell on Earth, again. Egypt; Signed peace deal and now receives billions in "aid" from the U.S. Jordan; Zionist supporters from the outset (1948) and now receiving over one billion in U.S "aid" per year. Also have a "peace deal" with Israel 1994.
