Al Jazeera updates:

Israeli military says it dismissed two officers and reprimanded three others for roles in strikes that killed seven aid workers on a food-delivery mission in Gaza.

—————————————-

So who are these two officers? Who conducted the investigation? How did they come to the conclusion that these 2 personnel were at fault? Dismissal isn’t enough, why aren’t they being tried or held to account?

Al Jazeera,

Hacktivists protesting war on Gaza breach Israel’s Justice Ministry servers

Israel’s Justice Ministry says it is looking into a “cyber incident” on Friday after activist hackers protesting against the war on Gaza said they managed to breach the ministry’s servers and retrieve hundreds of gigabytes of data.
“Since the morning hours, experts at the ministry and elsewhere have been looking into the incident and its implications,” the ministry said on X.
“The scope of the materials is still under review, and it will take time to examine the content and scope of the documents that were leaked and their sources.”
A group called Anonymous for Justice claimed responsibility for the breach, which it said included the retrieval of nearly 300 gigabytes of data. On its website, the group said it would continue attacking Israel “until the war in Gaza stops”.

"The companies listed here have provided Israel with weapons and other military equipment used in its attacks on Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and Syria between October 2023 and January 2024."

.
Like I was asking about better details of who to boycott within the BDS movement, this is another important link you provided which I've also bookmarked- thank you.

Stucky it's interesting for over 6 months I've had a tab open on my browser of a paper you had shared only a few weeks before Oct. 7, if you remember it:

Study on the Legality of the Israeli Occupation of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Including East Jerusalem

Why have I kept this page up? I'm not sure but maybe it's a way for my mind to connect the past to what has become an even more critical issue of Palestinian nationhood.

Whether we think of the source of reality as God, Allah, Brahma, the Field, or the One, etc.- there is a divine intelligence we are part of; therefore I know that within natural law the Palestinian people will eventually be free. Just like Gaza all of us in the world who care about truth and fairness are slowly dying through Israel's perverse cruelty but we must keep faith knowing that love will always conquer fear. We don't know when but the Israeli mindset will be punished as Palestinians or any subjugated people will be supported. We can only hope that such excellent justice is achieved in our lifetime.

Thanks again to you and Haich for your efforts and keeping this discussion updated. FREE PALESTINE!

Excerpt:

Military spokespeople said that under the Israeli army’s rules of engagement, officers must have more than one reason for identifying someone as a target before they can be hit. But the investigation determined that a colonel had authorized the series of deadly drone strikes on the convoy based on one major’s observation — from grainy drone-camera footage — that someone in the convoy was armed. That observation turned out to be untrue, military officials said.
The army said the colonel and the major were dismissed, while three other officers were reprimanded, the most senior of whom was the head of the Southern Command. It said the results of its investigation were turned over to the military’s advocate general, who will decide whether the officers or anyone else involved in the killings should receive further punishment or be prosecuted.

An absurdity of the highest order. An absolute shitshow of an investigation…as expected of course, I just cannot believe people are still lapping this up. With the revelation of incredibly intricate and advanced technology like Lavender, where the IDF are able to use tech to locate and pinpoint very specific targets, you really think ‘grainy footage’ of someone inside the aid vehicle who was armed will wash as an excuse to kill all 7 of them?

Excerpt
A day later, Kirby doubled down, saying that while the State Department is continuing to investigate, "they haven’t found an incident yet that has pointed to a violation of international humanitarian law".

Legal experts, however, say that claims there isn't sufficient evidence that Israel has violated international law are "complete nonsense".

'It is both incredible and incredibly cynical for Mr Kirby to assert that Israel has not violated international law'
- Ardi Imseis, Queen's University
"No, Israel is not complying with international law in Gaza. Israel has unlawfully impeded humanitarian relief, and there is substantial evidence that it has unlawfully used starvation of civilians as a method of warfare," said Adil Haque, a professor of law at Rutgers University in the US.

There's a link within the article to a Haaretz article (archived) on the Singapore Airshow which some might find an interesting read.

"Singapore reveals the weapons it bought from Israel; Israeli firms unveil the next generation of loitering munitions; and makers of anti-drone technology recall the urgent phone call they received on October 7. A visit to the biggest arms trade show in the world"

These past weeks I've been struggling at times to remember what i posted yesterday or even 10 mins ago. But yea that looks like something I would post. For a long time, going back to the old shoutwire days, I was focused on the legal and historical context of the issue. Without those two things the zionists get to control the narrative of "we want peace but all we get is terrorism, terrorism, terrorism".

Just a tip if you're saving anything from the UN archives. The UN have this horrible habit of moving all their documents around. So one day you'll have a link to something and the next you discover the page no longer exists. So try and keep note of titles/res numbers to make them easier to find again.

And thanks to you, DesertRose, Karlysimon and Qrwell'sMentor for contributing with your links and commentary. As you have probably guessed I'm not big on commentary/offering up opinion unless there's a zionist that needs slapping down. Fortunately the zionists on here are probably the thickest zionists I've ever come across...so that saves time.
