How is there no George Floyd topic in the news and current events forum?! This is Thee News and Current event of our country and has sparked world wide attention, protests and riots all over the US and beyond. It has been an inescapable topic throughout social media and the internet in general. It has even eclipsed the Coronavirus and has brought to light yet again the question of racism in America and police brutality mainly towards blacks. Some who sight statistics and argue that systemic racism and police brutality towards blacks is a non issue. Others say that the disproportionate number of blacks who live in poverty or are imprisoned as well as seemingly countless instances of black death at the hands of white people - mainly police highlighted by the media are the evidence of this historic issue in our country. I believe our common thread here at vc is the awareness of a hidden hand in our news media, music and culture that reveals itself through symbolism amongst other things. With that said there are theories popping up that this could have been staged in some way; a possible false flag. This topic seems to be even more taboo as i came here since conversations of it are being taken down by youtube and virtually non existent on other media platforms or otherwise hard to find on others. Lets talk!
