I don’t think she understood the terms of the deal or consciously traded her son for Drogo. Considering everything that happened to her and how young she was at the time I think thus is kinda blaming the victim and treasonous lolDany has always been carried by the dragons, and she comes across as pretty shallow. I lost all respect for her when she sacrificed her own son in exchange for the Khal's "life". No man would support that trade, and had Drogo lived, he would have hated her for being so selfish. His son was supposed to be the Khal of Khals, but she chose her own happiness over the destiny of the Khal's son.
The real victim is Khal, Jr., a real queen would know better, and the real heir to the throne is Aegon Targaryen.I don’t think she understood the terms of the deal or consciously traded her son for Drogo. Thanks Thunderian.

I just couldn’t get into the Colin Firth one. I know this is the one everyone swoons over and made him a star. And I know that the Keira Knightly movie was the modern retelling of it, but I really liked that movie. The BBC/A&E version is so so much better.

View attachment 21820 Colin Firth's look of love. Gets me every time.
The BBC one was more faithful to the book, in my opinion. But yeah, I love Colin Firth in it.I just couldn’t get into the Colin Firth one.
