I've just watched for 1 min but when they said their fans have been a major part of this campaign..
maybe I'm not aware enough about this campaign but what they (both bts & fans ) do to protect the children and teens from being violence?
because from what I see on the internet and social medias are just girls drooling over 7 men and always put kinky captions under the videos & images . I saw a lot of kinda worshiping type of comments too. Like, they're overprotecting the boys but harass other people who don't agree with them. Is that what they're trying to make their fans like? beasts ?? Only know how to love themselves and the boys in the wrong way and hate other people?? ok, I'm kinda mad now. I need explanation what what kinda justice have they been doing to the world
Ik they donated money but I wanna know other deeds they do that can actually influence people in a good way. tq (cuz I can spend any more sec listening to any of them )
To understand what Namjoon meant by the fans being a big part of this campaign, you need to understand a bit of background first.
When Bangtan first came out, they were really hated and constantly slammed, to the point everyday they feel bad about themselves, and even releasing a new song is so stressful for them because they are so afraid that their fans would not like it. But as time goes by many fans constantly send them messages to tell them that we love them, and its ok to show their real selves, their fears, their happiness, their sadness.
That is when the members of BTS started opening themselves up bit by bit.
Over time, they finally came up with this Love Myself campaign, and the Love Yourself Album where a part of the sales of the album will contribute to this campaign, and as you can see the sales volume of the albums are really high. High sales volume = high donation.
Not just albums alone but they sell goods and merchandise where the proceeds will go to the Love Myself Campaign as well.
Maybe to you it seems like the fans "only donated money", but the amount of money donated is no joke, not just to the Unicef campaign, but for other various charities as well. I have seen ARMYs who donated large amounts of donations to various charity organizations in the name of BTS/ BTS Members for their birthdays. And now with the new rule that we can no longer send gifts to the boys for their birthdays, ARMYs in turn use this money to donate to charitable organizations instead.
Aside from money, there are accounts on twitter set up by ARMYs who have professional knowledge on psychology which are open to ARMYs who might need help, to talk to them to help them out of depression, and to spread love and positivity. All these small little actions are accumulated over time and it helps to bring ARMYs closer together and to help spread more love around the world.
Even during fund raising campaigns that is totally unrelated to BTS, when they asked for ARMYs to help RT/comment because one RT gives one dollar, and they will donate up to a maximum of $100k, ARMYs don't hesitate to help get that target reached.
Granted there are a lot of negativity in many places as well, but we all know better than to judge a whole group through a small group of problematic ones right?
Once again, maybe to you donating money doesnt seem like much. But a small amount from many different ARMYs all over the world accumulated can make a big difference.
Hopefully through this you can understand more by what Namjoon meant when he said that they have the best fans in the world.
