He died in 2019 but I will always feel that through his music Vaughn Benjamin (Akae Beka) was warning us of the many battles we will face going forward. WE STILL WILL HAVE SOCIAL TIES!

Fear of the World
ABC

There's so much panic in this world
But we are livin' in the best
Of all possible worlds

Fear of the world
No fear, no fear of the world
Fear of the world
No fear, no fear of the world

Deep inside of me
Well I got this wanderlust
Remember how we talked last night?
Well it's just as we discussed

Ashes turn to ashes
Cash turns to dust
There's no-one in this world right now
You think you can trust

No real bruises I can show
From traveling the world on the radio
No real scars I can display
Burning up tomorrow into yesterday

No fear of the world
No fear, no fear of the world
Fear of the world
No fear, no fear of the world

Deep inside of me
In the seat of my pants
There's a pain as big and hard
As a civil disturbance

In the end make fear your friend
And change your circumstance

No real bruises I can show
From traveling the world on the radio
No real scars I can display
Burning up tomorrow into yesterday...

Nova Heart
The Spoons

Architects of the world
I walk your streets and live in your towns
Temporarily, architects of the world
You've served us well until now
But soon we'll be on our own

And I'll sleep, sleep in your
Nova heart
As things come apart
I'll hide, hide in your
Nova heart
At ease with the thought
That this nova won't burn out

Gentlemen of the world
I read your books and look at your art
Hesitantly, gentlemen of the world
You want to educate our young
But soon they'll be on their own...

The most cheery song for anti-authority.

Green Day- Minority

I wanna be the minority
I don't need your authority
Down with the moral majority
'Cause I wanna be the minority

I pledge allegiance to the underworld
One nation under dog, there of which I stand alone
A face in the crowd, unsung against the mold
Without a doubt, singled out, the only way I know

'Cause I wanna be the minority
I don't need your authority
Down with the moral majority
'Cause I wanna be the minority

Stepped out of the line
Like a sheep runs from the herd
Marching out of time
To my own beat, now
The only way I know

One light, one mind, flashing in the dark
Blinded by the silence of a thousand broken hearts
"For crying out loud," she screamed unto me
A free for all, f*** 'em all, you are at your own sight

'Cause I wanna be the minority
I don't need your authority
Down with the moral majority
'Cause I wanna be the minority, hey!

One light, one mind, flashing in the dark
Blinded by the silence of a thousand broken hearts
"For crying out loud," she screamed unto me
A free for all, f*** 'em all, you are at your own sight

'Cause I wanna be the minority
I don't need your authority
Down with the moral majority
'Cause I wanna be the minority

I wanna be the minority
I wanna be the minority
I wanna be the minority
I wanna be the minority!

This brings back memories of my college years. It has Raze's backbeat of "Break 4 Love", but it still has a good message:

If Only I Could
Sydney Youngblood

Everybody all around the world, stand up all my brothers
Joining our hands, united we're stronger
Fighting for peace, caring about our loved ones
Trusting ourselves, sharing our feeling, believe me

If only I could I'd make this world a better place
If only I could I'd make this world a better place

Oh believe me, believe
Believe me, believe, if only I could

I think about the implications when alone between the sheets
When all the huggin' and kissin' is tearin' my heart apart
All people standin' hand in hand, celebratin' all different colours
Joining together, sharing their feelings, please believe me

Oh believe me, believe
Believe me, believe

If only I could I'd make this world a better place
If only I could I'd make this world a better place

If only I could

Mmm believe me, believe me
Believe me, believe

If only I could I'd make this world a better place
If only I could I'd make this world a better place

Artist: Midnight Oil
Song: Read About It
Album: 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,4,2,1 (1982)
A direct shot at Rupert Murdoch and a general indictment of the modern media machine itself:

Lyrics-
"The rich get richer, the poor get the picture
The bombs never hit you when you're down so low

Some got pollution, some revolution
There must be some solution but I just don't know

The bosses want decisions, the workers need ambitions
There won't be no collisions when they move so slow

Nothing ever happens, nothing really matters
No one ever tells me... so what am I to know

Chorus: You wouldn't read about it, read about it
Just another incredible scene, there's no doubt about it

Hammer and the sickle, the news is at a trickle
The commissars are fickle but the stockpile grows

Bombers keep a-coming, engines softly humming
The stars and stripes are running for their own big show

Another little flare up, storm brewed in a tea cup
Imagine any mix up and the lot would go

Nothing ever happens...
You wouldn't read about it, read about it

One unjust ridiculous steal, ain't no doubt about it

You wouldn't read about it, read about it
Just another particular deal, there's no doubt about it."

Fundamentally, the “Illuminati” just want to BE God…

I like Alice Coopers take on it…

…and the song he wrote:

"I Just Wanna Be God"

I'm in control
I got a bulletproof soul
And I'm full of self-esteem
I invented myself with no one's help
I'm a prototype supreme
I sit on my private throne
And run my lifestyle all alone
Me, myself and I agree
We don't need nobody else

I never learned to bow, bend or crawl
To any known authority
I really want to build my statue tall
That's all

I'm just trying to be God
I only wanna be God
I just wanna be God
Why can't I be God

I got no time to take advice
I want to gamble with my eternity with loaded dice
I don't need a preacher in my face
When I'm the omnipresent ruler of the human race
Ain't gonna spend my life being no one's fool
I was born to rock and I was born to rule
But if I'm wrong on judgement day
I'm royally screwed with hell to pay

I never learned to bow, bend or crawl
To any known authority
I really want to build my statue tall
That's all

I'm just trying to be God
I only wanna be God
I just wanna be God
Why can't I be God

I'm just trying to be God
I only wanna be God
I just wanna be God
Why can't I be God

I'm just trying to be God
I only wanna be God
I just wanna be God
Why can't I be God

Artist: Willie Colon/Ruben Blades
Song: Plastico
Album: Siembre (1978)

Ella era una chica plástica
She was a plastic girl
De esas que veo por ahí
Of those I see out there
De esas que cuando se agitan
Of those when get excited
Sudan Chanel number three
Sweat Chanel number three

Que sueñan casarse con un doctor
That dreams to marry a doctor
Pues él puede mantenerlas mejor
Because he can provide better
No le hablan a nadie si no es su igual
They don't speak to nobody different
A menos que sea fulano de tal
Unless is "that guy"
Son lindas, delgadas, de buen vestir
They're beautiful, skinny, well dressed
De mirada esquiva y falso reír
Elusive- looking and false laugh

Él era un muchacho plástico
He was a plastic boy
De esos que veo por ahí
Of those that I see out there
Con la peinilla en la mano
With the comb in hand
Y cara de yo no fui
And a face of "wasn't I"

De los que por tema 'e conversación
Of those that have by theme of conversation
Discuten, qué marca de carro es mejor
Which car brand is better
De los que prefieren el no comer
Of those that ratter not eating
Por las apariencias que hay que tener
For the appearances that you have to have
To walk around elegant and so have a plastic girl

¡Qué fallo!
What a failure

Era una pareja plástica
Was a plastic couple
De esas que veo por ahí
Of those I see out there
El pensando solo en dinero
He only thinking about money
Ella en la moda en París
She in Paris fashion

Aparentando lo que no son
Pretending what they're not
Viviendo en un mundo de pura ilusión
Living in a world of pure illusion
Diciendo a su hijo de cinco años
Telling their five year old son
No juegues con niños de color extraño
Don't play with strange colored children
Ahogados en deudas para mantener
Drowning in debt to maintain
Su estatus social en boda o hotel
Their social status at wedding or hotel

¡Qué fallo!
What a failure

Era una ciudad de plástico
It was a plastic city
De esas que no quiero ver
Of those I don't wanna see
De edificios cancerosos
With cancerous buildings
Y un corazón de oropel
And a heart of oropel

Where a dollar replace the sunshine
Donde nadie ríe, donde nadie llora
Where no one laughs, or cry
Con gente de rostros de poliéster
With people of poliéster faces
That listen without hearing and see without looking
Gente que vendió por comodidad
People that sold for comfort
Su razón de ser y su libertad
Their raison of being and their freedom

Oye latino, oye hermano, oye amigo
Listen Latino, listen hermano, listen buddy
Never sell your destiny for gold, or your comfort
Nunca descanses pues nos falta andar bastante
Never rest because we have a long way to go
Vamos todos adelante para juntos terminar
Let's all move on to finish together
Con la ignorancia que nos trae sugestionados
With the ignorance that brings us suggested
With imported models that aren't the solution

No te dejes confundir
Don't get confused
Busca el fondo y su razón
Search for the background and it's reason
Recuerda se ven las caras
Remember you can see the faces
Pero nunca el corazón
But never the heart

No te dejes confundir
Don't get confused
Busca el fondo y su razón
Search for the background and it's reason
Recuerda se ven las caras
Remember you can see the faces
Pero nunca el corazón
But never the heart
Recuerda se ven las caras
Remember you can see the faces
Y jamás el corazón
And never the heart

You see the faces, see the faces, but never the heart
From the dust we all came and there we will return
You see the faces, see the faces, but never the heart
Remember that plastic melts if you leave it in the sun
You see the faces, see the faces, but never the heart

You see the faces, see the faces, but never the heart
Study, work and be human first, that's where is the salvation
You see the faces, see the faces, but never the heart
But look, look, don't get confused, look for the background and it's reason
You see the faces, see the faces, but never the heart
Forward, forward, forward, forward, forward that way we'll be united and win in the end
You see the faces, see the faces, but never the heart

But ladies and gentlemen (you see the faces), in the middle of plastic
You see faces of hope too (you see the faces)
You see the proud faces that work for and United latino-america (you see the faces)
And for a morning of hope and freedom (you see the faces)

You see the faces of work and sweat (you see the faces)
Of flash and blood people who didn't sold themselves
Of people working, chasing a new path (you see the faces)
Proud of their heritage and being Latino (you see the faces)
Of a United race, that bolivar dreamed of (you see the faces)

Country Boy by Aaron Lewis
(feat. Charlie Daniels, Chris Young & George Jones)

Now I grew up down an old dirt road, in a town you wouldn't know
My pops picked the place up for fifteen hundred bucks, back in nineteen sixty-four
My grandfather was a drinker, back in the day he'd put 'em down
But a war is known to change a man, and the whiskey's known to change a man

But, that's not me
I rarely drink from the bottle, but I'll smoke a little weed
I still live in the sticks where you wouldn't go, in a town of twelve hundred off an old dirt road
And a country boy, is all I'll ever be

Now it's been twelve years since I sold my soul, to the devil in L.A
He said sign your name here on the dotted line, and your songs they all will play
He set up shop on Sunset, he put me up at the Marquee
He said, "You wanna sell a million records, boy? You better listen to me"

He said, "Change your style, whiten your smile
You could lose a couple pounds
If you want to live this life, you'd better lose that wife
Do you need your friends around?"

I said, "no that's not me"
'Cause the biggest things in life are your friends and family
And I like my jeans and my old t-shirts, and a couple extra pounds never really hurt
'Cause a country boy, is all I'll ever be

'Cause Hank taught me just how to stay alive
You'll never catch me out the house without my nine or fourty-five
I've got a big orange tractor and a diesel truck, and my idea of heaven's chasin' white tail bucks
And as a country boy, I know I can survive

Now two flags fly above my land, and really sum up how I feel
One is the colors that fly high and proud, the red, the white, the blue
The other one's got a rattlesnake, with a simple statement made
"Don't tread on me" is what it says, and I'll take that to my grave

Because, this is me
I'm proud to be American and strong in my beliefs
And I've said it before, but I'll say it again, 'cause I've never needed government to hold my hand
And I've said it before, but I'll say it again, 'cause my family's always fought and died to save this land
And a country boy, is all I'll ever be

I love my country, I love my guns, I love my family, I love the way it is now
And anybody that tries to change it, has to come through me
That should be all of our attitudes, 'cause this is America, and a country boy is good enough for me, son

I'd say all music is "Illuminati".
If you hadn't noticed, it's every single fucking one of them.

There is no halfway, it either IS or ISNT.
Lucifer being the prince of music after all.

Depressing, but the truth is.

Do you see much difference between independent artists and those operating from within entertainment/media industry confines?

If you can show me what an "independent" artist looked like?
But to be honest, I don't see anything I don't work in that industry so I don't know the ins and outs. I would just be speculating.

But, myself. I take no pleasure in music, film, art etc anymore.
I used to, but I had to put away those distractions and grow up.
Now if I do hear or watch something all I can see is their shitty little gay symbols, logos and agendas.

Can't be independent when you have to sell yourself to be a part of the bizz, the devil needs his cut.

As that Mason Rat George Carlin pointed out.....

It's a big fucking club and, WE ain't in it.

So, why give it your energy if that's what it feeds off?

For myself, I recognize the difference between artists who have somesort of gift and express it via means they fund themselves... as contrasted with the industry which is total, top-down control and "artists" are transformed into "products". However, I will also state that mainstream media has influenced independent/underground artists to the point they now compromise their own vision in order to conform with what is being promoted to the masses... thereby nullifying what they do as actual "art".

Bottom line, its very difficult to find true, artistic expression these days as most is at least filtered through the lens on mainstream-media acceptance/promotion.

Oh i get what you mean I do, I know many talented people, who don't have their "claim to fame".
But as with those who fund it themselves, the dilemma is of this nature, you can easily have money given via Kickstarter etc al, but who controls those companies?
Also, why are they doing it? For passion? If that's the case, why do they all seem to get their reward when money and status is given?
In return they are given "Their" artistic expression, fuck all new under the sun mate, it's all rigged to work for evil.

It's a contradiction in itself, everything is.

For myself, I noted the change in the late 90s/early 2000s when the industry began to fully consolidate its control of the indy's. The underground still remains, but the mainstream has done a LOT to steal those aesthetics and offer the masses a false-choice regarding art via their indy-camoflauge.

Yeah, you hit the nail on the head with the camouflage.

Hide in plain sight, works a treat.
It's all idolisation and distracting, where there's music there is sin.

But when the "God" of this world was the prince of music in heaven, makes sense really doesn't it?

Music is so embedded into the psyche of most modern humans that they almost cannot imagine a life without it, cannot function without it.
