reread my posts-- there is not one speck of ageism or sexism in there, but it must be difficult living in your world where one sees "-ism" boogeymen around every corner. does AOC deserve an invisible force field around her because shes a a young and female? sorry, it doesnt work that way. only someone such as yourself is racist and sexist because you see age and sex first and foremost, focusing on those aspects. all you lefties do is focus and call attention to these differences instead of not even thinking about them. you are the racist around here, not me.
yep-- she sounds like a stupid, 16 year old girl speaking with that valley girl like accent with the words trailing up in tone toward the end. high school girls talking that way is one thing. professional politicians and women in the late 20s? its unprofessional and immature (although i will readily admit that politics today is hardly professional).

speak for yourself.
however, if there was one, ill bet you a buck she wouldnt sound anything like AOC.

lastly, you and colonel both missed the entire gist of the thread because you were too busy being triggered: the democrats are creating puppet candidates who only follow what they are told to say and do.
I am speaking for myself, the 16 year old girl version of MYSELF.

It is not racist or sexist to point out the ageist and sexist undertones of someone else’s comment. That doesn’t even make sense. Maybe you missed it but I’m not exactly big on identity politics, personally think they are a distraction and waste of time. Barking up wrong tree. That doesn’t mean I’m not going to call shit out when I see it. She’s a young woman, Hispanic, and doesn’t come from an elite family and ever since she was elected she’s been the target of an incredible amount of crap like this for no apparent reason. Never seen it before. Hope to never see it again.

Many people seem to forget that politicians are not supposed to be intellectual geniuses or powerhouses etc, they are only and very specifically supposed to be a voice for the people they represent. They have plenty of actual intellectuals and experts on payroll to consult with for that sort of thing.

do you understand?

She’s a young woman, Hispanic, and doesn’t come from an elite family and ever since she was elected she’s been the target of an incredible amount of crap like this for no apparent reason. Never seen it before. Hope to never see it again.
i didnt know she was hispanic. i didnt care, either. i also dont care what kind of family she has. i DO care that she represents a clever new tactic by TPTB in installing people like her into office. we havent seen this kind of a shill before.
MSM rightists dont like her because of her socialist/communist ideas and her lack of any experience. many leftists dont like her because her and her ilk are causing a rift in the party. i am not arguing that here.
we have always had slimy politicians that have been told what to say and do by our controllers (blackmailed or lured by money), but under the pretense of 'one of the people', the controllers are now selecting puppets from the general population. one would get the impression that she is a voice of the people when she takes every one of her cues from her handlers.
there is absolutely nothing grass roots about ocasio- cortez.

as far as ageism is concerned, there is a reason the founding fathers put age restrictions into the constitution for the president, senators, and representatives. its the same reason why village elders are the ones who make the decisions: young people lack wisdom.

i cant speak for some of the others, but i find her very unattractive, mentally and physically. ill readily admit that she is in good physical shape. shes not obese, so thats something.
I have a little secret crush on her, but I always did like the crazy chicks. :p

Please show me examples of my supposed obsession with racism... I’ll wait. I haven’t mentioned it at all her since I don’t even remember when because it was that long ago. For someone apparantly obsessed with it I’m sure doing a pretty crappy job.

Every single politician has “speech writers” and a staff behind the scenes that pretty much does all the work for them. There is nothing special about Cortez on that front. There is no evidence that she doesn’t actually personally support the ideas she’s promoting, that is just your opinion. If you hate her ideas/proposals then argue against them but arguing against her as a person instead when she hasn’t any glaring character flaws is pretty telling. Being young or female isn’t a character flaw. Being inexperienced as a politician isn’t either - it’s what most of you screamed from the rooftops about when deciding to endorse trump.

So many double standards...

I havent been following AOC that closely. But I will say that feeding into her in any way is a positive for her agenda.

She has the second highest follower engagement on Twitter. You all know who is number 1 in that regard? President Trump. Birds of a feather?

She tweeted this yesterday.

The problem for her is that's not a Republican in that picture, but a Democrat, and not just any Democrat, but John Yarmuth, the chairman of the United States House Committee on the Budget.

But I'm sure the guy who chairs the committee that controls the United States budget doesn't have any kind of real power. She'll be fine.

She’s far from stupid and would embarrass Candace Owens, but if it helps ya sleep at night.

Having a mob-connected corrupt business man and game show host who suppresssed his grades and can barely put together a coherent sentence as President has destroyed all standards by the way
I am not disagreeing, but the grammer nazi in me is screaming, please use some commas! :)

"The Apprentice" was a great show though. At least until they started having celebrities compete.

I think that people like underdogs. So "Celebrity Apprentice" was never going to work. I would argue the show was a perfect illustration about how politics work in reality. Celebrities coast on their cheesy exteriors, but they don't make good politicians. Why? Probably because they can't take a punch.

To be a good politician you must be extremely brave, or insane. Their job consists of talking, eating, and getting beat up constantly.

Not half bad… Funniest lines are in the final 30 seconds

“Like, I also want to talk about socialism because socialism is so amazing! Like, socialism is actually short for social media. Did you know that? Like, I use social media so I’m a socialist — and like three of the most successful countries in the world are socialist too. Venezuela, Facebook, and Twitter are all very successful socialist countries.”

Dude, have you not heard her speak? She has proven her own stupidity about a dozen times, and it's only been six months.

Personally, I find her highly entertaining, but she really has no business in the US Congress. I wondered how and why she ended up there, even by NY standards she's an extremely lousy choice for a representative. It's pretty obvi that you haven't watched the video, or you wouldn't be defending her.

ocasio-cortez was picked out from a casting call!
Shakespeare called it
All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and on man in his time plays many parts.

No Mocking AOC: Popular Ocasio-Cortez Parody Account Banned From Twitter; Creator Speaks Out
dailywire.com/news/46867/no-mocking-aoc-popular-ocasio-cortez-parody-amanda-prestigiacomo

A popular Twitter account mocking Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was hit with a permanent ban after apparently gaining too much steam on the big tech platform. The account, which clearly indicated itself as "parody" in its Twitter name, amassed over 85,000 followers before Twitter shut it down for unclear reasons.

The politico who created and manned the account, Mike Morrison, also had his personal account permanently banned. Morrison, who believes the bans were politically motivated, had nearly 60,000 followers before his seemingly unprovoked exile.

According to screenshots provided by Morrison to Human Events, Twitter acknowledges that clearly-marked parody accounts are allowed but Morrison’s content posted to the AOC parody account was apparently too similar to comments actually made by the socialist.

"You may not register or create fake and misleading accounts. While you may use Twitter pseudonymously or as a parody, commentary, or fan account, you may not use misleading account information in order to engage in spamming, abusive, or disruptive behavior, include attempts to manipulate the conversations on Twitter," an email from Twitter said.

"You may also not ‘post duplicative or substantially similar content, replies, or mentions over multiple accounts or multiple duplicate updates on one account or create duplicate or substantially similar accounts,'" the email to Morrison added.

Human Events noted that Morrison’s mock-AOC account followed their rules with regard to online parody:

require all parody, newsfeed, commentary, and fan accounts to indicate “non-affiliation” in both the account name and bio. The AOC Press Release parody account used the word “parody” in both its account name and biography.
"I think Twitter banned AOC Press for the increasing amounts of attention it’s been receiving lately," Morrison said of the ban.

"In the past month and a half alone the account grew by roughly 50,000 followers. We’ve had tweets with over 30,000 likes on them, so I think Twitter decided it was time for [the account] to go," he claimed. "They didn’t like how popular an account created by their political opposition had become."

Late last month, outspoken conservative and award-winning actor James Woods was locked out of his massive Twitter, which has over 2 million followers. As reported by The Daily Wire, Sarah Miller, Woods’ girlfriend, posted a screenshot of an email the actor received from Twitter, which claims Woods was locked out of his account for "violating" Twitter rules "against abusive behavior."

"If you try to kill the King, you better not miss. #HangThemAll," the tweet supposedly in violation from the actor said.

Keeping in line with the theme of online censorship, Facebook and Instagram (which is owned by Facebook, Inc.) permanently banned so-called "dangerous individuals and organizations" from their accounts on Thursday. Infowars founder Alex Jones, self-described investigative journalist Laura Loomer, Infowars’ Paul Joseph Watson, provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos, and Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan were among those included in the de-platforming.

Ocasio-Cortez: I Was Joking About The World Ending In 12 Years, And You're An Idiot If You Believed Me
dailywire.com/news/47098/ocasio-cortez-i-was-joking-about-world-ending-12-amanda-prestigiacomo

On Sunday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said that she was joking around when she claimed the world was going to end in 12 years if we do not take serious action against Climate Change, a declaration she's been widely criticized over.

The 29-year-old socialist mocked the Republican Party for taking her claim about the end of the world seriously, which she suggested was a combination of "dry humor + sarcasm."

"This is a technique of the GOP, to take dry humor + sarcasm literally and 'fact check' it. Like the 'world ending in 12 years' thing, you’d have to have the social intelligence of a sea sponge to think it’s literal. But the GOP is basically Dwight from The Office so who knows," wrote AOC in a tweet published on Mother’s Day.

For context, Ocasio-Cortez first spouted the hyperbolic claim in January at a Martin Luther King forum in New York City, as The Daily Wire previously reported. She said it without laughing, earned a round of applause from the progressive audience, and then emphasized the point by calling the fight against Climate Change "our World War II."

"I think the part of it that is generational is that millennials and people, in Gen Z, and all these folks that come after us are looking up and we’re like, the world is gonna end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change," charged AOC. "And your biggest issue, your biggest issue is how are going to pay for it? — and like this is the war, this is our World War II."

Complicating Ocasio-Cortez’s recent suggestion that the world-ending claim was a mere joke, the elected Democrat has repeated the claim time and again and even collaborated with The Intercept to create a video centered around the charge.

"Climate change is here + we’ve got a deadline: 12 years left to cut emissions in half," she captioned a tweet promoting the video, last month.

The video, titled "A Message From the Future with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez," showcases a future where AOC’s widely-panned and uber-expensive Green New Deal has inspired action to save the planet. In the video, the Democrat — you guessed it — again says that we have a "12 year deadline," The Daily Wirereported:

The congresswoman then warns that we have "twelve years to change everything" before “hundreds of millions of people would be more likely to face food and water shortages, poverty, and death.”
“Twelve years to change everything,” she narrates. “How we got around, how we fed ourselves, how we made our stuff, how we lived and worked — everything. The only way to do it was to transform our economy, which we already knew was broken.”

Moreover, as reported by The Washington Free Beacon, Ocasio-Cortez doubled-down on her 12-year declaration during an Instagram live-stream when a viewer mocked her over the claim.

"We have twelve years left to cut emissions by at least 50 percent if not more," Ocasio-Cortez, visibly annoyed, told her viewers. "For everyone who wants to make a joke about that, you may laugh, but you're grandkids will not, so understand that the internet documents everything."

"She then went on a tangent about looking back in history books of the civil rights movement and seeing the white people holding signs against allowing black people to vote," the Beacon noted.

"They would hold up these bigoted signs and they would hold up signs that said things like ‘What about white rights?' and all of this stuff in the 1950s and 1960s, so just know that in the present day there are a lot of people who hide the fact that their families and that their grandparents fought against principles of equal rights in the United States, not 100 years ago, not 80 years ago, but in this generation's lifetime," said the elected rep.

"While a lot of people can hide that their grandparents did that in the civil rights movement, you should also know that the internet documents everything and your grandchildren will not be able to hide the fact that you fought against acknowledging and taking bold actions on climate change," Ocasio-Cortez continued. "People who are trying to mock and delay this moment, I mean—I just feel bad for you. I just pity you for your role in history right now."

I don't know what to think of that. Garbage disposals have been in the public lexicon for what, 50 years? We didn't have one when I was growing up, but I knew what one was. Plus, she worked in a restaurant. Whoever is writing her script is a complete idiot.

youve got it backwards-- those who are writing her script (the indian guy and the woman-- i call them her 'handlers') are doing a great job. its when AOC is off script, being herself, is when she gets into trouble.

this explains why someone so unbelievably ignorant has gotten to her position: shes a brainless puppet run by her chief of staff, Saikat Chakrabarti, corbin trent, and alexandra rojas. ocasio-cortez was picked out from a casting call! her staff do the thinking for her-- she only needs to regurgitate it on camera and look professional. a narrow win (quick fix?) at the ballot boxes in NY, and voila! instant politician.

political actors are the new crisis actors, it seems.

video title (if its deleted by YT): the brains behind AOC alexandria ocasio-cortez

put her in a debate without a hillary earpiece against candace owens and we would see what an empty bag she really is. not that it would matter to the leftists anyway.
Yo yo yo. Watch out, moogs!
We mustn't isolate and attack and discredit the people who are fighting for us. Who have lives like us. Who talk like us.

AOC's bio:

She was born into a working class family and she worked her ass off (cuz that's what we do) and she was able to go to college and intern for Ted Kennedy. Then her father died, so she was forced to go back to work bartending so her mother's house that her family worked their asses off for wouldn't be foreclosed upon. Then she went to a protest where people were putting their lives on the line to say that they didn't want their land and their water polluted by a pipeline that only worked to increase corporate profits and ruin the environment (a simple demand) and that woman said "I can do that too" and decided to run for Congress.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

And again, instead of calling big donors (who wouldn't support her anyway) she worked her ass off and knocked on hundreds, maybe thousands of doors and did something the incumbent Joe Crowley never would have done and actually talked to voters and asked what their concerns were (all the while she had to work 18 hour shifts bartending). It turns out people thought it was pretty goddamn shitty that you can die from not having healthcare in this country, that you can work for 40 hours a week in this country and not afford to have a minimum standard of living and dignity, and they thought it was pretty fucked up that it was because of goddamn corporate lobbying and corruption.

So she said I will represent working people ( I ain't quoting her). Black and brown and white, there is no difference. The real difference in this country is class, the real problem is the fact that people are homeless, and starving, and dying, and living without dignity for the greed of a few goddamn ( I mean it literally this time) CEOs and shareholders.

You may disagree with her on social issues, and that's fine. They have a word for them in Washington: "wedge issues" because they're specifically designed to drive a wedge through the citenzenry so we're all talking about abortion, and transgender people, and marijuana legalization instead of the fact that we're all being screwed over by corporate america and - "corrupt ass politicians on Wall Street. Assassinate 'em, bitch." - Capital STEEZ Rest his Soul - ( I had to throw it in there) but that's the real conversation we need to be having, man.

In fact the mother of all wedge issues, race, was used to divide slaves and their white working class counterparts in the prewar South, so they wouldn't revolt against their masters. So the planters could keep on profiting off of subjecting human beings to the worst conditions, to the worst humiliation and degradation imaginable.

If we have religious values, we must denounce greed and care for the poor and the sick and the downtrodden. And that's exactly what AOC is trying to do. And to be honest, she's an inspiration to me, and thousand of young folk across this country. Because if she did it, I can too.

Imagine if we had 435 AOCs in the House of Representatives, 100 of em in the Senate, and one in the White House. 536 of em who fought for working people and the dignity of this country. We would have a society where greed is no longer worshiped, where we actually care for the poor, the sick, and the downtrodden.

You must decide whose side you're on: yours or the multinational corporations'.

if you think she is fighting for us, you are completely duped and did not even look at the video i posted.

like ive already stated, she was selected to be a candidate. there is nothing organic or grassroots about her rise to political power.

So she said I will represent working people ( I ain't quoting her). Black and brown and white, there is no difference. The real difference in this country is class, the real problem is the fact that people are homeless, and starving, and dying, and living without dignity for the greed of a few goddamn ( I mean it literally this time) CEOs and shareholders.
totally disagree with you here. id vote for biden or sanders faster than i would vote for her-- at least those two *might* make a decision on their own (not that it would be a good one). AOC is a biological pre-programmed lib-bot. she takes her direct orders from her handlers.

Assassinate 'em, bitch." - Capital STEEZ Rest his Soul - ( I had to throw it in there) but that's the real conversation we need to be having, man.
if she is representing all working people, then why is she the queen of wedge issues?

If we have religious values, we must denounce greed and care for the poor and the sick and the downtrodden. And that's exactly what AOC is trying to do. And to be honest, she's an inspiration to me, and thousand of young folk across this country. Because if she did it, I can too.
"denounce greed" = code word for denounce capitalism. capitalism isnt perfect by a long shot, but socialism and communism never work.
what did she do to inspire you? work for a living or be picked out of a group to be the new young face of the far left? shes a great selection for the left-- shes young and radical, guaranteed to draw the attention of young people who understand very little of what is happening. (the upshot is that young people dont vote anyway...)

Imagine if we had 435 AOCs in the House of Representatives, 100 of em in the Senate, and one in the White House. 536 of em who fought for working people and the dignity of this country. remember in T2 judgement day when arnold was lowered into the vat of molten metal? thats you being lowered into leftist kool aid. the amount of damage she would do to this country, its laws, and god help us, the constitution would be unfathomable.

You must decide whose side you're on: yours or the multinational corporations'.
there is nothing we can do about the multinational corporations/NWO controlling the government. nothing. but we can slow it down by forcing them to return to the original principles of this country-- strict constitutionalism-- rather than let a radical leftist take control of the train and steer us downhill into commie oblivion.

I don't care if she's fighting for me.

What I do care, is she's getting people to question the exploitive capitalist systems. It's a start to real liberation, especially if you add in a little hate for the State. Rejecting both capitalism and the state will be a step towards cutting the legs out from under the elite since it relies on both to hold its power.
