The thread was about r*pe Lisa. Specifically pregnancies that occurred due to war time r*pe. Your opinions on abortion in general are irrelevant.

And no you can’t just put a child for adoption when your in an abusive relationship and the father won’t sign or your family will shun you completely etc. plus there are how many kids waiting to be adopted and aging into adulthood every day without ever finding a family?

You only see black and white but that’s your thing. This whole thread was about a big area of grey.

I wouldn’t call my opinions irrelevant, they matter to me and I have as much right to express my opinion as you do. The thing is you and some other people think that you are the only ones allowed to an opinion and those that disagree with you should just keep theirs to themselves. I don’t agree with that foolishness.

Still...no need to kill the baby. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

I only see a lot of death. Death for people who have done nothing but be conceived. They don’t get to live their lives...and they don’t get the option to say please I want to live! And we aren’t supposed to stick up for the voiceless, we are supposed to be irrelevant so that people can keep killing.

They are irrelevant inasmuch as they were not on topic of the thread. The thread was specifically about victims of war r*pe. And you offered no opinion on it, just a diatribe against abortion in general.

I don’t see how you could support forcing a woman to carry a pregnancy born of r*pe. I don’t. That is complete and utter revictimization since r*pe takes away her agency over her own body the same way being forced to carry a pregnancy to term and go through childbirth does.

Its still a defenseless and innocent person Jess, I can’t just say that because of the way he/she was conceived makes it an automatic death sentence. The person in the womb doesn’t get a chance to say hey people I want to live despite how I was conceived, I don’t want to die! But they get no voice and it’s an automatic death sentence for them.

And what’s worse the people who say that’s not right we shouldn’t do that are castigated for just sticking up for people yet to be born who if given the chance would want to live. I’m not unfeeling towards the mom, I just don’t want to see someone murdered for being conceived.

The WOMAN is a living breathing conscience being, the fetus at that point is not. It has no will to either love or die, it has no consciousness. Prioritizing the fetus over the WOMAN is wrong.
It is the start of life, a persons life, it’s not some cells it’s the start of a human. Those cells will be a person that’s what conception does it starts someone’s life. So by killing those cells you are killing that person.

Life is hard Jess, doesn’t mean that we kill people to be because it’s hard. That isn’t the answer.

And...the baby did nothing to deserve a death sentence.

The woman already had her autonomy taken away by the r*pe, the government has no right to force her to give birth. Women's bodies should be under the control of no one but themselves.
Who’s forcing her to give birth? That’s what a woman’s body does naturally.

It doesn’t matter if a woman’s body is made to give birth

She had no choice in whether to have sex or not. It was forced on her. The pregnancy which resulted was also forced on her. Making her carry that pregnancy to term and give birth is the definition of forcing her to give birth. Its wrong. It’s the same violation as the r*pe was.

Lisa hasn't been gang raped by foreign invaders in her own home while her husband is murdered in front of her and she's being passed around like a joint. Lisa won't have to hope she can come to America and escape war assuming she doesn't die from sickness, can find survivors to help her, can even find food. She could possibly give birth in a ditch during a rain storm and her and the baby die.

Lisa will sit at her computer and criticize situations and people she'll never be able to fathom and tell them they are wrong.
