Another Gaza journalist killed in Israeli attack
Gaza journalist Hassan Hamad has been killed in an Israeli air strike on his home in northern Jabalia, bringing the total number of media workers killed since the start of the war to 175.
Hamad worked as a freelance TV reporter and his footage had aired on Al Jazeera and other networks.
Colleagues and the government’s media office in Gaza confirmed his death, saying the journalist’s home
was deliberately targeted to silence him after he received threats.
Comment from Israel’s army wasn’t immediately available.

Journalist Hassan Hamad received this message on WhatsApp, along with several calls from an Israeli officer ordering him to stop filming in Gaza.” Israel targeted his home in Jabalia camp in North Gaza and he was killed. The video shows what remains of him."

Israeli strikes displace 20,000 Palestinian refugees in Lebanon
Israeli military strikes on Lebanon have displaced about 20,000 Palestinian refugees in the country.
The UN’s agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) said it opened emergency shelters for more than 4,300 displaced people and is ready to open more. Shelters are filling up fast as the Israeli military intensifies its attacks on Lebanon.
Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip have also internally displaced about 1.9 million people, or 90 percent of the population in the besieged enclave.
Iran’s supreme leader awards IRGC commander with top medal for Israel attack
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has bestowed the commander of the aerospace division of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) with a top honour for
last week’s missile attack at Israel.
Amir Ali Hajizadeh received the “Fath” medal from the supreme leader in the presence of Iran’s top military commanders.
The medal is one of the highest military honours that can be given for military achievements. It was first established during the eight-year Iran-Iraq War in the 1980s, and has since been awarded to a small number of leaders.
