I'm wondering where the creator of this thread has been, @The Zone. This thread makes me think when there were some good people on here who'd be willing to carry on a good online conversation or debate. At the current state of these boards with so many toxic and immature people on here, it's slowly becoming a memory, but it is what it is. I suppose for every thing there is a season.

Anyway, I hope all is well with you, TZ. If you're lurking, I would clearly understand why.

TBH, I don't miss him. I think Awoken2 said it best that he was Lisa 2.0. There are enough people who seemingly have a LOT of issues, and he was part of the pack. As I've mentioned earlier, as did he, he wasn't even a conspiracy theorist which made no sense for him being here.

He was a loner longing for companionship, with antisocial with narcissistic tendencies and there are evidently enough of them on these forums already. Not to mention, he'd quote the bible pretending to be a Christian, much like someone can write out a parts of recipe and claim to be a chef.

I'm sure he's behind some can of beans somewhere...

That's debatable. Imagine these forums with 10 more Tempos, Colonels or even Chassides

While I'd like to see more people here, it would be nice if they benefitted the forums. Such as making threads, sharing content. Not just lurking 99% of the time.

If I make a thread, it gets about 70 views in an hour or so. We don't have 20 people posting a day, let alone 70. Most of the people here don't contribute at all, and it makes the place feel dead.

I know what Orwell means when she says these boards used to be better.

Ya, I see your point, but he would keep some threads going. He never really bothered me, even when he constantly insulted my religion.

At some point, I began to understand he was just a lonely old man looking for attention.

Something tells me he'll drop back in at some point.


Oddly enough, I feel like I remember someone died of a heart attack that he mentions above, but the name has completely escaped me.

I remember another guy dying on the old boards. He was a Brit who always took Tarek's side. But idr many details. Too many years have passed.

Do you mean Riddler (Zach)? I'm not sure of his nationality, but I remember when Tarek posted that Riddler's wife informed him he passed away from cancer, and it became a thing due to Lisa with her usual vitriol. Creeper and Thy Unveiling went after her, as did anyone else who found her comments rude and uncalled for.

Tarek wasn't paying her any mind and seemed to be doing what he could to absorb the news.

You must be speaking of Riddler I guess...

Strangely enough, my younger brother (22.06.1987) who recently passed away (a Sunday during year 2023's October) was a Cancerian...

Thanks for stopping by, TZ. Don't worry about being dire and pessimistic, we're all entitled to our perspectives. While it most certainly seems gloomy at times when considering world events, I'll always have a perspective that entails faith and hope. Man and pagan gods have been attempting to usurp the Creator since...well...forever. They've fooled some over the centuries, but to date, they have yet to win.

I'm with you about spending valuable time somewhere else other than here. As you said, there are far too many idiots pining for attention and these boards have regressed into mindsets reminiscent of high school. There are quite literally now only a handful of people who can carry on insightful and engaging conversations.
