Hmm, Luckily I fell outta of the loop like Early 2020, even before I knew about how dark the industry can get (I knew about the American Industry stuff, didnt really know about the whole worldwide influence yet). I think I just got bothered by the music videos
same I used to be a fan of bts for awhile whilst in college, kpoop was still unpopular and no one had really heard of it until the likes of bts eere gradually gaining popularity in the west. I only fell out of love with kpop mainly bc generic ubderpdocued songs but also a friend of mine back then was a bit too obsessed with them and it was all she really talked about whereas I liked a variety of groups or genres, it was hard to discuss anything other than that one particular group. we had some other common interests but she was overly defensive of them when i merely stated that i didnt like their english tracks due to poor lyrical skills that they have. i havent really spken to her since but there was some other reasons i got bored of that friendship too. i think kpop doesnt bring people together when the friendships some of the fans may form are so based entirely on the delusions of the music groups themselves.
